This place is directly across the street from my hotel and the aroma of freshly baked cookies just lures you in. They have variety of giant size cookies priced at $6 to $7 each. They also have fudge bars, ice cream, coconut macaroons, and slices of key lime pie. I ordered a macadamia nut cookie and my friend had the key lime pie. My cookie was soft and so delicious and my friend said he enjoyed the key lime pie. The shop was very well lit up and the staff seemed pretty friendly. Personally, I had to really think about the $7 dollar price tag for a cookie. I know their location is on a very popular street in Key West. It's a tough spot I'm in, cause I can see the justification, so I don't want to be too harsh. Also, I came across a one star review that spoke about COVID procedures. I can see why they had the concern about products being exposed out on top of the counter. Masks are not the only protector from COVID. I am not one of those people that is highly afraid of being exposed to COVID but for others folks that are afraid, I would share my view for them. "Social distancing of the cookies" if you will. If I can get as close as I did for the photo, just something to think about. Still love your products though. Bought a giant chocolate chip cookie both last year and this year while visiting Key West - large enough to share, soft, dense and delicious! Key west was my first stop after boarding the carnival cruise. While scrolling down duval street, I stopped inside this place to cool off from the sun and to grab something cold to drink. While inside I decided to check out the place, after checking out the menu and the many options of sweets they offer I decided to try the chocolate chip cookies.......this sweet spot has the biggest cookies I've ever seen in my life. The cookie was so moist and soft, did I mention it was very delicious as well. They also specialize in the world famous chocolate dipped key lime pie, I didn't try it, but it looked delicious as well a nice thick slice for if I remembered correctly $6 which is not bad. read more

Calling these GIANT still doesn't seem to be enough to describe their size. They are not just huge but they are delicious too! They were softer than I expected which was an awesome surprise! I'll definitely stop by anytime I'm near one. They also have fudge which was delicious too! I got the peanut butter and will definitely try the cookies and cream next time too. read more

My oh my! What a cookie extravaganza and fudge place.. never seen cookies this size before and their made from scratch. If your a sweet lover this the place for you. I purchased 3 cookies: oatmeal raisin ( fully loaded with raisers and oats), sugar cookie with sprinkles ( the taste is amazing), and lastly my favorite white chocolate macadamia ( Boom... speechless). I wish they had a location in Miami I can visit once a month just for the white chocolate macadamia cookie.. lol. If your in they let's check them out. My "GO TO" spot when I drink just a little too much and I end up craving something sweet. It doesn't happen often but when it does I always drag my husband here so we can get (2) of the huge cookies. I admit I talk him into getting one and it can't be the same kind as mine so that I can have more than one kind to eat. My favorite cookie here is the White Chocolate with macadamia nuts; it is the best. Then I usually make the husband get the regular Chocolate Chip. Sometime we try the Peanut Butter or the Chocolate Chip with pecans. They also sell ice cream and fudge. I don't both with ice cream but the chocolate is pretty darn good. I admit I ask for a sample every time I come in to get cookies. And just in case you are closer to Mallory Square, there is another location at the end of Duval Street. read more

Not the place for anyone interested in a sanitary experience. It bothered me that many of the baked goods were out on the counter right next to the customer line being breathed on and anything could be dropped on them (never mind a sneeze, cough etc). There was an area with maybe an 8 inch window at waist level that wouldn't protect much. A friend of mine ordered the ice cream which was good but nothing special. Another friend ordered a lemonade and when she watched the employee use his hand to place the ice in her cup, asked for a new one with the ice scooped and not touched with bare hands. He then proceeded to look at her while using his bare hand AGAIN to place ice in a second cup. She declined the drink then and we left. There was really no reason to be so rude, and they obviously don't care about complying with health codes. read more

Not big on desserts but tasted my girlfriends double scoop of Key Lime and Toasted coconut. The Key Lime was alright, but the toasted coconut was . I also discovered that if you took a bite that was like 75% coconut and 25% key lime, that it almost tasted like pistachio--which may be my favorite ice cream all together. read more

Stopped by for the ice cream though after seeing the cookies I regret not getting one. This was my first stop in Key West and after seeing the great reviews I was really excited for some ice cream. We got a single scoop of the Cuban coffee and brownie bomb flavors in a cup. The cuban coffee flavor was pretty good -- definitely strong coffee and the ice cream had a nice texture. However, the brownie one was a letdown since there was literally no brownie pieces and was essentially just plain vanilla. Not sure I'd go back again since there weren't too many unique flavors either. read more

The smell of fresh cookies pulls anyone in. Once inside, they have ice cream, cookies, key lime pie, coffee (yes, even Cuban coffee), fudge and amazing customer service :). You can sample the fudge and ice cream. I ordered the chocolates chip and macadamia cookies and one scoop of ice cream (vanilla bean) to eat together with the cookies. It was so delicious!! Warning... These cookies are massive and you might want to share. Now about the ice cream, it definitely very rich and creamy. They have a great selection to choose from. Popped in for a post- lunch ice cream. Ordered the brownie fudge (vanilla base with brownie chunks and fudge). Homemade, very large portions for a single Serving. They only have wafer and waffle cones- no sugar cones. Also no soft serve. Price tag is quite hefty- $6.50 for single serving but the ice cream was absolutely delicious and again the serving was huge. Wish they would consider a kids serving for less money! Great product and $$$$$... would come back to try more flavors (vacation!!!) read more

The first night of arrival we tried the chocolate chip cookie and I give it a 10/10. It was closely related to a place back home in Memphis but like 4 times the size. Two days later we tried the key lime pie. I'm giving it a 9/10 it was very tart yet sweet. I couldn't eat it all but the best part was the graham cracker under the key like filling. Fabulous cookies! I went in yesterday morning and got a peanut butter cookie topped with fudge. I knew I wouldn't eat it right away, and the man at the counter assured me the chocolate on top wouldn't melt as I walked around more. He was right. I've left the cookie out since I bought it 15 hours ago, and it's still very soft. The peanut butter cookie is really flavorful. Highly recommend. While at Key West we were looking for a great spot for icecream. Upon arrival we noticed the line was out the door but we didn't care. It was our mission to still give it a try after seeing all the delicious baked goods they have as well. Their icecream was tasty and their peanut butter cookie covered in fudge was addicting. Those cookies were ridiculous. In a good way. I had a huge peanut butter cookie with a layer of peanut butter and chocolate fudge. I might have diabetes now but it felt worth it. Ice cream was good too. Not sure what kind of sundae other people were getting but they had 3 big scoops and came out in this big bowl the size of a takeout Ramen bowl. They looked amazing. WOW!!!! Best ever!!!! Peanut butter cookies with peanut butter and fudge frosting. They were giant and so moist!!! We also enjoyed the giant chocolate chip cookie as well. Their ice cream was delicious and so was the key lime pie!!! We went back to get some of the peanut butter double frosted cookies to take home. Sadly, they were out of the double frosted ones, so had to settle for their regular peanut butter cookie. It was delicious but nothing else held a candle to the double frosted one!!! read more

They have several locations around town, you cannot miss the smells coming out of their stores. The cookies are ginormous! We had to try the key lime pie of course: it was a bit to sweet compared to others we had. Overall, we'd go back for the experience: their ice creams looked so good! read more

love kermit's!! this place was featured in many key west travel guides, so i came in with high…read moreexpectations. and i'm happy to say kermit's exceeded my expectations and then some. in my opinion, it's the #1 spot to get key lime pie in key west! i got the chocolate covered coconut key lime pie on a stick ($6), a fair price especially for being located in downtown key west. i loved this key lime pie! it had the crunch from the pie crust contrasting with the decadence of the milk chocolate shell. but the chocolate didnt overpower the key lime cream fortunately, and the coconut added that unique and delicious texture. i ended up coming back again to try the white chocolate strawberry key lime pie on a stick, and this was equally as good with the white chocolate complimenting the rest of the pie, which had real strawberry infused into the pie cream. the inside of the shop has a fun lime green theme, offering free cookie samples to guests. i really enjoyed the key lime cookies, they were like nothing i've had anywhere before. there's also some souvenirs you can buy, and an outdoor patio seating in the back of the shop. the service is quick and friendly! you have to try this spot on your next key west trip!! i'll definitely be coming back again and again whenever i'm back in town. 10/10

It gives you that relaxed, toes-in-the-sand feeling, almost like you're unwinding right by the water. It has a great vibe. We're not huge fans of soft serve, mainly because the flavors and textures can feel limited. Rooster Treats makes up for that with the generous amount of toppings you can add. I ordered the Chocolate Paradise, which came with chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, and Oreo crumbs. It was delicious, and the portion size was very good. Glad we checked it out before heading home.
