A little pricey but so grateful for vegan options! Friendly service. Delicious. Great break from the tropical heat. Worth checking out!

Amazing customer service. Delicious ice cream and tons of options. Four small tables on the inside and few select shirts available.

Sweet ladies at the booth, allowed me to taste multiple flavors before I made up my mind. They were also sweet enough to make a Oreo milkshake for a friend even though they technically don't sell milkshakes on paper. The ice cream was great! They freeze the concentrate using liquid nitrogen to make the cream due to which the texture is soft and tastes really good. Not too sweet and just right! It's a cute shop with minimal seating which works really well! I highly recommend it!

Not a big fan of the ice cream--very expensive and it just kinda taste like ice with a faint flavor. Just wasn't my favorite.

Ordered Key lime ice cream and blubbery cobbler. Ice cream was so smooth. Key lime was just perfect! Not too citrusy. Not too sweet, just perfect! They have some seating options. The store location is very convenient.

AMAZING! You simply will not be disappointed by this establishment. The ice cream is quality and the waffle nachos are to die for. Very pricy but at least it was worth it. Love the vibe here. Plenty of options to choose from. Staff is friendly! Not many complaints besides wishing it was less expensive.

Yuuuumm! Wickedly good! On vacation this is what we had for breakfast! :) Had to try the Key Lime of course - with Biscoff cookies. Also, the Mexican vanilla. Flavors are deep and delicious. Owner and staff are super friendly and polite. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong going Wicked!

The ice cream was delicious. I had chocolate ice cream + marshmallows in it. Age 7- was a little messy but worth every lick!

Not good ice cream. I'm used to Ben & Jerry's and this was like sherbet. I also wasn't a fan of many flavors.

Watery ice cream with no flavor. What a waste of $25 for two people. The service was ok.

Skip it. Go right next door and have a Frosty at Wendy's. At least it will have some flavor and save you twenty bucks.

I am a stickler though on the fact that I will refuse any specimen that is green in color since it's screams inauthentic. One of my local friends even handed me a coupon for this place, so it was one of three pie concoctions that we sampled during our vacation. Lucky us! The staff here are welcoming and able to handle crowds efficiently and kindly. The store is incredibly cute and has a wide array of Key lime products as well as souvenir type inventory. Great place to perhaps do one-stop shopping if customers are pressed for time or just don't like to spend time at multiple places. The pie was delicious. Tart, sweet, fresh, cool, refreshing, and nice crust. Highly recommend!

It's close to Mallory Square, and they even have their own space where the pies are made. I chatted briefly with the staff, and they told me that yes, this really is the place where it all started. They also mentioned that many other spots claiming to be "the original" actually get either their ingredients or their pies from here. Overall, it's a cute little spot. Besides pies, they sell cupcakes, coffee, and a variety of general goodies and touristy items. We grabbed a small, cozy two seater high table by the window and enjoyed their tart pie. And yes--be ready for that sharp tang that hits your jaw at first and then grows on you! There are benches outside too, and it felt peaceful sitting there. The pie costs $7.

Food: The one item that really stood out was the PB Fudge Cookie. It's a large peanut butter cookie with a thick layer of peanut butter fudge, topped with another thick layer of chocolate fudge. Yes, it's one big and delicious cookie. It's expensive at $12, but it's large enough to feed a family of six. There were other items that looked equally amazing, including the chocolate-dipped coconut macaroons. On another visit a couple of days later, we tried the Key lime pie, and it was excellent. The crust had a rich, buttery flavor and held together well. Instead of the traditional meringue topping, they used whipped cream, which was a nice touch. We even asked for extra. Service: The staff were friendly, helpful, and patient. We never felt rushed. Atmosphere: The shop is well lit, clean, and has an upbeat aesthetic. Mattheessen's is a place we would, and did, return to for a second visit.

But, that doesn't matter. Never mind the comically large cookies. They have excellent lemonade. They have excellent FROZEN lemonade. And, because it's Key West, they have really excellent FROZEN KEY LIMEADE! It's fantastic. I got two -- or for immediately, and one for the freezer for (a little bit) later.

There are plenty of drinks and deserts with double entendre names, they're so fun. Huge positive that they have virgin drinks, and several to choose from. Both deserts we tried were out of the world delicious. The missionary crisp ice cream and flavor was 10/10, no notes to improve. I think Rooster Treats is a fun change of pace from the more traditional storefronts lining Duval Street. Instead of a typical shop, it operates out of a permanent trailer. You order from a raised deck platform, then head down to enjoy your treat at one of the tables set up in a makeshift sandy beach area. The whole setup works surprisingly well. It gives you that relaxed, toes-in-the-sand feeling, almost like you're unwinding right by the water. It has a great vibe. We're not huge fans of soft serve, mainly because the flavors and textures can feel limited. Rooster Treats makes up for that with the generous amount of toppings you can add. I ordered the Chocolate Paradise, which came with chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, and Oreo crumbs. It was delicious, and the portion size was very good. Glad we checked it out before heading home.

For Key West, they seemed reasonably priced and hit the spot for something sweet. If you're already in the area and looking for something sweet, I would stop here.
