We stopped in on our last night in Key West after trying several of the ice cream shops during our…read morestay. I think Rooster Treats is a fun change of pace from the more traditional storefronts lining Duval Street. Instead of a typical shop, it operates out of a permanent trailer. You order from a raised deck platform, then head down to enjoy your treat at one of the tables set up in a makeshift sandy beach area. The whole setup works surprisingly well. It gives you that relaxed, toes-in-the-sand feeling, almost like you're unwinding right by the water. It has a great vibe. We're not huge fans of soft serve, mainly because the flavors and textures can feel limited. Rooster Treats makes up for that with the generous amount of toppings you can add. I ordered the Chocolate Paradise, which came with chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, and Oreo crumbs. It was delicious, and the portion size was very good. Glad we checked it out before heading home.

The service was quick and there was some seating outside with some sand so even though it is a few blocks inland there was still a relaxed, beach feel to the place. I got the coconut joy mini donuts and my boyfriend got the chocolate paradise ice cream. The mini donuts did get a little soggy from the toppings so I would maybe eat a little faster than I did (though I didn't take an unreasonable amount of time) or go for the ice cream. For Key West, they seemed reasonably priced and hit the spot for something sweet. If you're already in the area and looking for something sweet, I would stop here.

Both were really good but I would say the maple bacon one was better just because the Cuban Coffee Cake was thicker, more doughy. But the flavor was delicious on it I just liked how soft the maple bacon dough was. Either way, I can't wait to come back and try more flavors. The coffee was really good as well! Scott was so great, such a pleasure to meet. Will come back very soon!

I arrived around 7:30 a.m., and the place was already starting to get busy. Food They offer a very interesting assortment of donuts, including flavors you don't typically see elsewhere. Options like Blueberry Cheesecake, Brown Butter Hazelnut, and Cuban Coffee Cake stand out. I chose the Cuban Coffee Cake. It was essentially a spiced coffee cake shaped like a donut, topped with plenty of glaze and crumble. The portion was generous. It could easily feed two people, but I managed to finish the entire thing. For a beverage, I ordered a Mocha Latte. The flavor was very good, but it was served on the cool side. It was completely cold before I finished, and I ended up tossing the last portion. They only serve drinks in paper cups, not ceramic mugs. Although mugs were visible, I was told the health department does not allow them to use them. For me, coffee in a real mug always feels better than paper. Service I have mixed feelings about the service. The person taking my order seemed a bit on edge. When I asked about the mug situation, she appeared annoyed that I would even ask. Since it was my first visit, I asked about the most popular donut, and that also seemed to irritate her. I rephrased and asked for her personal favorite instead, which she answered more willingly. I noticed a few other staff interactions, and the overall tone of the crew felt tense. Not sure if that's typical or if it was just a busy morning. Atmosphere I took a small table inside to finish my coffee and donut. There are several small tables, best suited for two people. Toward the back of the dining area there were boxes and pallets visible. This isn't necessarily a place you visit for ambiance. Most people grabbed a box of donuts and left. Only a handful were dining inside. If you want a good donut with creative flavors, this place delivers. Just don't expect a relaxed coffee shop experience with welcoming, friendly staff.

The decor is seductive in such a tasteful and classy way, everything is so romantic. It's beautiful. Cozy, intimate booths. Sparkling chandeliers flickering in candlelight. Ambient lighting. It is a perfect place to end your evening with your partner. We made reservations the morning of, on a Wednesday evening for our anniversary, and were seated promptly. Service was incredible from start to finish. I appreciate their ipad menus with questions to ask your partner, peruse the menu, and read about the origins. There are plenty of drinks and deserts with double entendre names, they're so fun. Huge positive that they have virgin drinks, and several to choose from. Both deserts we tried were out of the world delicious. The missionary crisp ice cream and flavor was 10/10, no notes to improve. Key lime from behind was the best key lime I've had in my life and quickly became the best we have tried on Key West. Incredible and what a lovely place!!

Romantic lighting and private booths made for some good ambiance. The iPad menus were great and very useful in selecting desserts and drinks. Everything on order is accompanied by a double entendre title, which makes it fun to pick. Candy rimmed beer was good; and the berry crisp and ice cream offerings were tasty. Honestly too big, even for two. But they were trying to do something different. To know: they do not have a license for hard liquor. A fun spot to have a sweet treat. Maybe don't bring the kids.

It is a beautiful outdoor space right near the beach, with tables set up under umbrellas and a charming bar that makes the whole experience feel relaxed and coastal. Sitting outside with the ocean breeze and a drink in hand was pure perfection. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they truly care about making your experience special. We tried both versions of the key lime pie and they were absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced, tart and sweet, with that creamy texture you hope for in a true Key West slice. The drinks were just as impressive especially for Happy Hour. The Key Lime Pie Martini is an absolute must. I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best dessert cocktails I have ever had. It tasted like a slice of pie in a glass, smooth, refreshing, and dangerously good. Beautiful outdoor setting, wonderful people, incredible desserts and cocktails. I highly recommend stopping here, especially for the Key Lime Pie Martini. You will thank me later. I will definitely be back for the Lobster pizza; unfortunately, we had other dinner arrangements so we missed getting to try it.

Bartender took one of the orders (us standing at the bar) and came back for the other 5 minutes later. We knew it wouldn't be possible to fix it after the fact. Food was great but not sure if I would come back again given the issues with the bartender.
