Options like Blueberry Cheesecake, Brown Butter Hazelnut, and Cuban Coffee Cake stand out. I chose the Cuban Coffee Cake. It was essentially a spiced coffee cake shaped like a donut, topped with plenty of glaze and crumble. The portion was generous. It could easily feed two people, but I managed to finish the entire thing. For a beverage, I ordered a Mocha Latte. The flavor was very good, but it was served on the cool side. It was completely cold before I finished, and I ended up tossing the last portion. They only serve drinks in paper cups, not ceramic mugs. Although mugs were visible, I was told the health department does not allow them to use them. For me, coffee in a real mug always feels better than paper. Service I have mixed feelings about the service. The person taking my order seemed a bit on edge. When I asked about the mug situation, she appeared annoyed that I would even ask. Since it was my first visit, I asked about the most popular donut, and that also seemed to irritate her. I rephrased and asked for her personal favorite instead, which she answered more willingly. I noticed a few other staff interactions, and the overall tone of the crew felt tense. Not sure if that's typical or if it was just a busy morning. Atmosphere I took a small table inside to finish my coffee and donut. There are several small tables, best suited for two people. Toward the back of the dining area there were boxes and pallets visible. This isn't necessarily a place you visit for ambiance. Most people grabbed a box of donuts and left. Only a handful were dining inside. If you want a good donut with creative flavors, this place delivers. Just don't expect a relaxed coffee shop experience with welcoming, friendly staff.

Both were really good but I would say the maple bacon one was better just because the Cuban Coffee Cake was thicker, more doughy. But the flavor was delicious on it I just liked how soft the maple bacon dough was. Either way, I can't wait to come back and try more flavors. The coffee was really good as well! You walk up to the window, place your order and wait for your name to be called. Everyone is very friendly! I got the caramel Cuban coffee latte and I enjoyed it. I don't think it was as strong as some other Cuban coffee I've had but I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, so you still got a nice coffee flavor without being overpowered by sugar. Love the mural on the side and there are lots of roosters hanging around begging for some of your leftovers.

We settled on the cookie nookie cake, it was super fresh with many contrasting flavors that made every bite a pleasure. Overall had an amazing time and recommend this place for anything from a late night dessert or a full dessert meal. If we're ever around again, we are definitely going back and trying a lot more than just one dessert.

We went on Sunday evening around 6pm and were able to be seated right away. (We weren't sure if we were dressed appropriately.) They gave us an intro of their menu and shared favorites. I checked with our waitress and she stated she checked with the kitchen and said our foods were coming. Five minutes later nothing came (it's now been 30 minutes). I checked with her again and she went back to the kitchen, she returned and stated the kitchen staff was very busy and they had other customers to take care of too..... We immediately asked for our check and I paid for my coffee and left. We ended up going to Frenchie's cafe down the block and had an amazing time. We had been to so many restaurants at Key West this past week and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for our foods to arrive. We aren't sure if the breakfast items at this cafe were any good but the wait time was beyond reasonable and no warning was given ahead of time. If this cafe cannot handle all the tables they allotted, they should not have so many tables and open both levels (two stories), seating your customers and need them to wait at least 30 minutes for breakfast tells me that your kitchen is unable to manage a 90% full customer base.
