Four years ago when we came to Key West, we found an AMAZING shaved ice location just off Duval St…read more where the owners had actually gone to Hawaii to learn how to make the proper shaved ice! They have the best shaved ice that I have ever had! And both times we came to Key West, we went and tracked them down! Well, they shut down the storefront and are now in a food truck located on the beach, but they haven't been able to set up in their normal location bc the beach is a mess right now. So when we came to Key West this week, I knew what I wanted, but we have not been able to find them. So I found their phone number and I called them and she actually came to us! And it was the most incredible shaved ice experience yet again! They have the best customer service if you call them and they come to you! They definitely did not have to do that and I just would've had to live without it this trip. Thank you so much for making my Shaved Ice dream come true and for coming to us!! You have the best customer service and we will definitely call you every time we come to Key West!

They custom created an ice cream my gluten free kids could have and loved! We don't have a peanut allergy, but they also had a dedicated place for that as well. Besides the custom ice cream we also got great recommendations from them on things to see my kids would like! That's not all, we also got a short history lesson on where rolled ice cream originated! It also has a super fun decor inside. I highly recommend this place! Don't miss it.

Four of us split the pancake board and each ordered a breakfast entree and quickly realized our eyes were way too big for our stomachs. All of the food was delicious and the portions were very generous. This location quickly became a staple in our rotation for brunch. The coffee was amazing and strong. They had dairy alternative milks and several housemaid syrups which I am always a sucker for. I highly recommend going at least once.. But if you visit once, you will want to go again. The staff was amazing and the floor and wall art was fun to just take in while you waited for your order.

We ordered the Shrimp & Grits (with the pico on the side), Eggs Benedict, and a side of bacon. I thoroughly enjoyed my Shrimp & Grits and even added crumbled bacon, which made the dish even better! My husband said his Eggs Benedict was excellent as well. To drink, I had the Caramel Latte, which was absolutely delicious. I prefer flavored coffee drinks, so it was the perfect choice for me. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall dining experience. We will definitely be back!

(Note: review based solely on our take out dessert the men of our group brought back for us to…read moresample for critique) Back story. The quest for the best key lime pie in Key West began over dinner on Monday night, when I mentioned wanting to check out Kermit's on my friend Jen's recommendation, lamenting that I never got to enjoy a truly good key lime pie during my first and last visit in 2020. The one I had then was... not good. (I now know the dead giveaway is that it was green). What followed has become a pursuit of principle: truly a noble quest I can get behind. Fast-forward 3 days, and here's our verdict so far, with one contender still to come. Tomorrow night we're headed to Red Shoe Island Bistro for dinner at the insistence of a local who claims it blows Kermit's cheesecake out of the water: 1. Kermit's - The benchmark. Bright, tart, light, and perfectly balanced. 2. Hurricane Hole - Good, but missing the extra punch of tartness that puts Kermit's over the top. 3. El Siboney - Solid, but denser and more cheesecake-like, but also lacking the light, airy tartness of Kermit's. 4. Key Lime Pie Bakery - Forgettable in a town where memorable matters. 5. Matt's Stock Island Kitchen - Overly sweet with virtually no lime (or even lemon) presence. Our slice came boxed with whipped cream and... cherry sauce?! If you'd called it birthday cake, I'd have found that a more accurate description. Might as well call it Diabetes On a Plate. The boys did say this place is located in a beautiful hotel with great view. So there's that. Tomorrow morning, a plan was proposed (that I seconded): we'll stop by Kermit's to grab two slices to go and stash them in the fridge, specifically to revisit after dinner at Red Shoe Bistro as a point of reference. If Red Shoe's pie ends up being too close to call, we'll have no choice but to bring a slice home and do a true, side-by-side comparison in real time. And in the interest of not ending the trip on a sour note if tomorrow night disappoints, at least we'll be leaving Key West on Friday morning with Kermit's key lime pie as our final bite.

I enjoyed their shrimp and crab omelettes and their southern eggs Benedict were also good. I was staying at the hotel and so had breakfast here every day. Their regular drip coffee was the only thing I didn't like that much. I also had dinner here but do not rate it as highly as the breakfast - thought it was over priced for what it was. So i definitely recommend the breakfast with unbeatable views. As for dinner, I'd say try a different place. Service was always professional and friendly and also quite prompt but not rushed.
