    English Custard & Amaretto
    Spencer S.

Fun little shop tucked right on a corner with lots of street parking for easy access! The shop is relatively small, but there is some outdoor seating and the bright colors make it very inviting. They probably have 20-25 different flavors to choose from and today I tried the Amaretto and the English Custard. The chocolate was out-of-this-world good (and rich!) and the English Custard was really nice and creamy and tasted a bit like horchata to me (which definitely isn't a problem)! The man working behind the counter was patient as we tried a couple samples in advance, and was quick and efficient and filling out order. Gem of a place that I would definitely come back to!

THIS IS THE BEST ICE CREAM IN THE KEYS!!!!! Ordered the chocolate ice cream and added Oreos for an extra $1. The ice cream itself was soooo creamy and delicious and probably the best chocolate ice cream I've ever tasted. The Oreos were a nice touch, but honestly the chocolate flavor was so good they weren't even needed! The outside seating area was cute, and a great place to people watch + hang with the infamous Key West Roosters. Great little spot.

Such delicious ice cream!! So creamy and they had so many different flavors! Definitely gave such a nice homemade feel and would recommend on a hot day!

Great spot for homemade ice cream and you get to sit down on picnic bench's to enjoy your treat. The selection of ice cream is pretty good too. There's plenty of fruit flavors and some chocolate as well Irish cream or pina colada with rum. I decided to try the pina colada with rum because I got the pineapple taste with rum. It's a good substitute for alcohol when it's hot outside. My mom tried the butter pecan and enjoyed it well. Definitely a good spot for ice cream and to relax.

A lot of different flavors! Lavender flavor is very good! Big scoops! Friendly staff! Very clean! Must try!!!

*Cash only* Do not miss out giving Flamingo Crossing a try because you forgot cash! They do have an ATM inside just in case. Hubby grew up getting ice cream from Flamingo Crossing every trip to Key West. Thank goodness he introduced me to the guava ice cream. It's the only ice cream I've ever ordered from here because it's so good! This last time I got mine in a cup and he got the cone. If you like guava even just a like bit, you must order it! Very creamy and true to taste. Not one bit artificial. There is usually a line! Please don't let that stop you, it's totally worth the wait.

Flamingo Crossing is a fun little ice cream shop. They have a lot of options to choose from - some seasonal and some regulars. Bring cash, that's all they take. But that's no big deal. Go check them out!

The line moved quickly and we all really loved our selections. Two very nice employees behind the counter.

I am a stickler though on the fact that I will refuse any specimen that is green in color since it's screams inauthentic. One of my local friends even handed me a coupon for this place, so it was one of three pie concoctions that we sampled during our vacation. Lucky us! The staff here are welcoming and able to handle crowds efficiently and kindly. The store is incredibly cute and has a wide array of Key lime products as well as souvenir type inventory. Great place to perhaps do one-stop shopping if customers are pressed for time or just don't like to spend time at multiple places. The pie was delicious. Tart, sweet, fresh, cool, refreshing, and nice crust. Highly recommend!

It's close to Mallory Square, and they even have their own space where the pies are made. I chatted briefly with the staff, and they told me that yes, this really is the place where it all started. They also mentioned that many other spots claiming to be "the original" actually get either their ingredients or their pies from here. Overall, it's a cute little spot. Besides pies, they sell cupcakes, coffee, and a variety of general goodies and touristy items. We grabbed a small, cozy two seater high table by the window and enjoyed their tart pie. And yes--be ready for that sharp tang that hits your jaw at first and then grows on you! There are benches outside too, and it felt peaceful sitting there. The pie costs $7.

Food: The one item that really stood out was the PB Fudge Cookie. It's a large peanut butter cookie with a thick layer of peanut butter fudge, topped with another thick layer of chocolate fudge. Yes, it's one big and delicious cookie. It's expensive at $12, but it's large enough to feed a family of six. There were other items that looked equally amazing, including the chocolate-dipped coconut macaroons. On another visit a couple of days later, we tried the Key lime pie, and it was excellent. The crust had a rich, buttery flavor and held together well. Instead of the traditional meringue topping, they used whipped cream, which was a nice touch. We even asked for extra. Service: The staff were friendly, helpful, and patient. We never felt rushed. Atmosphere: The shop is well lit, clean, and has an upbeat aesthetic. But, that doesn't matter. Never mind the comically large cookies. They have excellent lemonade. They have excellent FROZEN lemonade. And, because it's Key West, they have really excellent FROZEN KEY LIMEADE! It's fantastic. I got two -- or for immediately, and one for the freezer for (a little bit) later.

The decor is seductive in such a tasteful and classy way, everything is so romantic. It's beautiful. Cozy, intimate booths. Sparkling chandeliers flickering in candlelight. Ambient lighting. There are plenty of drinks and deserts with double entendre names, they're so fun. Huge positive that they have virgin drinks, and several to choose from. Both deserts we tried were out of the world delicious. The missionary crisp ice cream and flavor was 10/10, no notes to improve. I think Rooster Treats is a fun change of pace from the more traditional storefronts lining Duval Street. Instead of a typical shop, it operates out of a permanent trailer. You order from a raised deck platform, then head down to enjoy your treat at one of the tables set up in a makeshift sandy beach area. The whole setup works surprisingly well. It gives you that relaxed, toes-in-the-sand feeling, almost like you're unwinding right by the water. It has a great vibe. We're not huge fans of soft serve, mainly because the flavors and textures can feel limited. Rooster Treats makes up for that with the generous amount of toppings you can add. I ordered the Chocolate Paradise, which came with chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, and Oreo crumbs. It was delicious, and the portion size was very good. Glad we checked it out before heading home.
