If you love key lime, you need to go here. You can sample the cookies, crackers, and nuts. They have key lime pies in a whole or I slice. They also have frozen chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick Friendly staff.

Kermit's Key Lime Shop in Key West is a vibrant, sun-soaked icon at 200 Elizabeth Street, its cheerful yellow-and-green exterior welcoming visitors just steps from the historic seaport. Founded over 30 years ago by Kermit Carpenter who started with smoothies outside Papa's Restaurant before turning to his grandma's recipe and even lobbying in Tallahassee to make key lime pie Florida's official state dessert the shop has earned raves from Food Network and National Geographic for its authentic, tart perfection. No trip to Key West is complete without their legendary key lime pie: grab a slice or that famous chocolate-dipped bar on a stick, settle into the cute garden seating, and take a bite. The graham cracker crust crumbles perfectly, releasing a burst of bright, zesty lime custard that's creamy, tangy, and refreshingly balanced pure tropical heaven that melts on your tongue. Friendly service and the prime location make it even better. Bloody brilliant one forkful and you'll declare it the best in paradise !

Very creative, I can't imagine key lime pie can make a good cookies. They're very generous on the cookies sample. I'm glad I tried them all, they were all so delicious. I almost wanted to buy all types of cookies I tried, but I have to hold back due to not enough luggage space. Overall, this is a great place for souvenir shopping, i like their key lime cookies. by the way, the shop itself is cute, love the decor and the wallpaper.

While on our recent cruise with Virgin Voyages, we docked at our first stop in Key West. We had the chance to explore the quaint little town and all it had to offer. One of the biggest spots my family wanted to visit was the Key Lime Store. Now, let me tell you--there are a number of key lime shops in Key West, and it really comes down to which one you choose. After doing some research online, we agreed on the location on Duval Street. It wasn't too far from the Conch Shack, which I'll review in another post. This location was busy--it was a Tuesday afternoon, and people were ready to get some key lime pie, including us! Kermit's seems to be popular, and it's easy to see why. It's such a cute, quaint spot. I loved the coastal decor, with the colors and interior giving a really fun vibe. They have a variety of treats to choose from, from drinks and pies to even cakes. We grabbed a slice of key lime pie to go, and the packaging was adorable! The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. If you're in the area--whether docking from a cruise or just visiting the neighborhood--I definitely recommend this location! You will not be disappointed. It tastes even better than the key lime pies sold in stores, so come get yours

The best key lime pie in Key West. So good we stopped by three times and it did not disappoint. Delish crust with some crispiness to it , Creamy filling with the perfect amount of Zesty lime and not too sugary sweet and a great crust to filling ratio. Service was efficient and it made the perfect dessert to complement our dinners out while on vacation.

This is the place I recommend this location lies are made fresh on site.

The pie was ok. Literally it tastes like it came from the freezer section. Not fresh small portion. It You can Skip it. In my opinion Gk to the key lime bakery

Can't come to the Florida Keys and not try a slice of key lime pie! I stopped by Kermit's, because why not, and was happy that I did. The fine folks behind the counter really went far and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my pie-xperience. The flavor was sweet, tart and delicate. The crust was pretty good for a precut and stored slice. Though I was told this was "fresh." Whatever the case I enjoyed it sitting out on the back patio. Like most other pie spots they have a bunch of lime inspired goodies. Be sure to stop by.

This is THE place to get your key lime! They have pies, ice cream, cookies, the works. We got the famous key lime pie slice on a stick and I shares it with a friend. So good but very rich.

Amazing store full of all things key lime... cookies, taffy, ice cream, candies ... all with ample free samples. A fun store to browse... and yes they have pie! Fresh, frozen, etc. your choice! Recommend you stop by at the end of Duval!

Im not some sort of key lime connoisseur, but this pie was well balanced, smooth, flavorful, and extremely refreshing. It warranted a return visit before I left. I believe there are 3 locations (maybe 4). While going to Kermit's may seem cliche, it certainly was well worth the visit. ENJOY!!!

Got a slice of key lime pie dipped in white chocolate from Kermit's Key Lime Shop and it was so delicious. I've been trying to watch my figure and be calorie deficit but this places key lime sweets kicks discipline out the door. Friendly service and a wonderful ambiance. If ever in the keys get some key lime pie. Never knew key lime pie got its origin in the keys either!

I finally had Key lime pie for the first time at Kermit's, and I think I just met my soulmate (and it's citrus-flavored). Perfectly tart, creamy, and balanced. not too sweet, not too sour, just pure sunshine in dessert form!

There's a European air and flair in the place, with items I've never come across in other shops, and I love that! There were lots of scented items, and I love how she had glass cloches over the individual scents, since I am scent-sensitive. I was afraid when I walked in I might not be able to take it, but it wasn't overpowering. There were so many home and gift items in here, I could have easily dropped 10x the amount of money I did If I'd brought a bigger suitcase. From the delicate new and vintage jewelry, to the frameable greeting cards, to high end teas (daily sample available), and cotton frocks sprinkled throughout, I felt like I could have spent two hours in this small shop and still not have seen everything. Yet, it doesn't feel overwhelming, because the merchandising skills utilized here just made it a pleasure to wander this way and that, admiring all the little touches. Honestly, it is an exemplary shop. I'd rank this in the top 5 shops I've ever visited anywhere, and I wander into a LOT of shops! This is a must if you are in Key West. You can get a cocktail anywhere, but these elegant displays and thoughtfully curated products are not to be missed!

Luckily we didn't have to wait, but every table filled up quick after us. The waitress was awesome rushing around across multiple tables. We placed a huge order all upfront, because we ordered a bunch of appetizers that were 50% off during happy hour, plus multiple types of oysters. I love the smoked fish dip and the sweet lips apps, which are cream cheese filled jalapeño poppers. My husband got wings which he loved it came with 10, for only $9. My father got Conch ceviche and Conch Fritters, both were very delicious, all 50% off. We also got a dozen of Louisiana oysters on happy hour price for $2 each, and Canada oysters on happy hour price for $3 each. Also got garlic oysters, which were not on happy hour. All were delicious. The oyster shooters are soooo good, IMO Much better than the neighboring oyster bar down the boardwalk! I was impressed that kettle one vodka is also 50% off during happy hour, for my husband who doesn't like to drink beer! Overall amazing happy hour, if you can get there early before the crowds go on a wait. I don't think I would pay full price here given most of it is fried food or raw bar, which is my only hesitation giving 5 stars. But I'll definitely be back for happy hour!!

We came with a larger party, so we all were able to try several items on the menu. To be fair, no one in our group tried the raw oysters, but we did have: drinks, appetizers, salads, and a variety of items off their dinner menu. The calamari and crab fritters were just okay, with the tomato dipping sauce being weird. The entree's were very disappointing. My daughter ordered the Rib Eye, which was paper thin 1/2" or less and flavorless. My wife had blackened grouper topped with crab, she felt the fish was fresh, but lacked any flavor enhancements that could make it better. My son ordered the fish sandwich which he said was just okay. We split a green salad that had one tomato, the lettuce was not cut, the croutons were stale. I ordered the Garlic Shellfish Combo. The combo was supposed to have clams, mussels, crab, lobster, shrimp, corn on the cob, red potatoes, garlic Cuban bread. I had one edible clam, the others did not open, it had 2 shrimp, three potatoes a crab claw in a garlic broth. Everything was Luke warm at best. The server smiled briefly but was curt with our large party. This is a popular place, but I don't get the hype. I'm hoping maybe next time I come to Key West to visit again.
