We had Matt's Spa Repair come fix the heater on our spa. Matt came once to diagnose the problem, and he returned a few days later with a special order part. In addition to fast and very friendly service, we liked that Matt communicated very well with us about everything including charges. We paid with Venmo, but Matt said he accepts checks and credit cards as well. Repairing the electrical portion of a spa can very expensive, based on my experience with this spa over the past 10 years. We had a similar problem several years ago, which was repaired by another service. This time around the repair was about 20% less. The repair came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. He was busy at the time but asked that take off the access panel to the heater/pump area and send him a photo. This was my first time using Matt, and it was for a spa pump issue I was having. Matt came out and diagnosed the issue accurately. He was able to offer a solution to acquire a new pump at 40% less than the manufacturer was going to charge. When the new pump arrived, Matt came back to install it. I read previous reviews of Matt's Spa Repair including Sam H's regarding his Maxx Spa. Since my 12-year-old Maxx Spa was also leaking, I took off the access panel and noticed a leak in the heater/pump area. So, I recorded a video, called Matt, left a voice message, and e-mailed the video & picture of panel with specs of my Spa. Matt responded within 15 minutes and gave me instructions to tighten the big black fitting coming out of the Powerworks box on the left side which solved the problem! I also noticed a leak from the fitting going into the box on the right side, so I tightened that black fitting which also stopped that leak. A lot of people wouldn't have been so generous with their time, I offered to Venmo Matt a tip, but he replied, "You don't have to pay me anything, glad to help! let me start up by saying that I never leave yelp reviews but this time I just couldn't help myself. I contacted about two months ago about an F1 code that I was getting on my jacuzzi spa. He presented me with several different options for me to try to reset the code, but none of them were successful. I told him that this was probably out of my wheelhouse and that I would need him to come and take a look at my spa. Even though he doesn't normally serve the Temecula Valley he agreed to come out on a Sunday. He showed up on time, with the proper tools and diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes. after some conversation, he felt that I was competent enough to replace it myself. He gave me direction on how to do so, provided me a discount number to order the part and at the end charge me significantly less of what his normal service call price was.
