Brian Watson is a nice guy and seems very professional, but when there was a complication with our air conditioning system installation, he would not remedy it. On top of that, his work is shoddy. We had 2 new air conditioners installed in July. During the installation, one of his techs made a large crack on our ceiling, as well as a misplaced nail which is now sticking out of our ceiling. I called Brian and he seemed genuinely apologetic and said he could easily fix it. It's December and still no fix. He promised to come a couple of times and didn't show up. Finally we got a quote from a handyman and asked Brian for half the cost. Brian agreed to this 3 months ago. But still no check. On top of all that, our air conditioner doesn't even cool several rooms in the house. I'm done with Brian. I'd rather pay another company to fix his shoddy work than deal with his lack of customer service. read more

So the HVAC replacement is complete. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. First off, Brian is a hero. He was able to swing an install for us on one day notice because my wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant and he didn't want her to be without AC. Everyone who came into my house was professional and knew what they were doing. Brian got my ducts replaced, redesigned my ducts, moved the furnace to the attic to help with airflow in the stairwell and hallway, relocated my condenser to the other side of the yard, installed a whole house purifier, and got my house cold!!!!! The install did take some time, but that is simply due to the level of detail that Brian wants from his installers. Another Heating and Air Conditioning company had inspected my system (my furnance and A/C are about 5 years old) and told me that the ducting (which is about 25 years old) was inefficient, deteriorating, leaking, and blowing contaminants into my home, and he gave me an estimate of over $14,000 to put in all new ducting. I had Matrix send one of their techs (Raul) to my home in Temecula, he came the next day, and he spent over an hour checking out my whole system, doing testing, and crawling around my attic looking at everything. He made two minor repairs and said my whole system was in good condition and did not need to be replaced . . . and they charged me $90. In my experience, you can trust these people. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. read more

I called for air conditioner issue over the weekend. I've got half a dozen business replies from yelp. But Watson is the only one with suggestion of problem for my air conditoner fan with estimate and even get back to me at midnight in yelp message. Others contacted me with no knowledge and demanded trip cost without telling me anything. To make a long story short, watson showed up next day and discovered the problem (capacitor) and charged me a very reasonable price. We had Bryan out when our old furnace was making some weird noises. Our furnace being 39 years old was not worth the amount of money it would have cost to repair it. We ended up putting in a new furnace and replacing all of our old 1960's asbestos ductwork. We got a great price on the work and the guys did a beautiful job. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and clean. Not a speck of dust after they were gone. The job ended up being a little more work than expected and they stayed until it was finished. I don't really write many reviews like this...so when I do, It has to be something pretty important and worthy of sharing with everyone. The reason I am writing this review is for one reason and one reason only...this man, Brian Watson....IS THE MAN!!!!! The AC MAN. Let me give you a little background on how we were introduced. I had Greenstar out at my home to look at fixing an AC. They looked at it and their conclusion was (after a quick look) .... You need to replace it...I felt like I had no option...didn't know what to do so I did what any other consumer would do...I said "Yes, please repair my AC". I then received a phone call from a friend and he said that he had put a 3 ton AC unit in a house for half of the cost of what we were quoted How is that possible? Well, I did some research and sure enough... GREENSTAR had decided to try and rip us off. I then called them back and cancelled the order. I placed a phone call to Brian (came as a referral from the friend who had the unit installed) and he came out and took a look. It is rare in todays day and age to find someone as dedicated to his trade as Brian is. Sure, he could have taken the easy route and said the same thing and charged us for a brand new unit. Instead he did something different... so different that I must say that I was shocked. After looking over the system he realized some things that needed to be done and that might fix the initial issue. Sure enough, he was able to fix the unit and get it back up and running. The other company, they didn't care just wanted to do maximum billing Brian is the type of person you want in your corner. He is hard working, HONEST and extremely dedicated (he stayed really late until he figured out what was wrong) It is almost like he is the modern day AC Robinhood. We would HIGHLY recommend Brian and his crew. All we wanted was a new heater, no air conditioning. He came out and assessed our situation, did not try to talk us into air conditioning and emailed us an estimate the next day. We said go ahead and set an installation date. The day of installation he called to let us know he might be 15 min late. Who does that? They came on time, installed heater, insulated the heater closet and ran a gas line to the kitchen so we could install a gas stove top at some point (which we hadn't discussed with him prior to that day). Brian Watson and crew recently changed out our old scary furnace and ran a gas line to our new cooktop. We had all of our old ducting replaced as well. I can't begin to tell you what an honest, fair and supportive person Brian is. His workers were clean and polite. They stayed late to be sure we had heat with this cold California winter. They left the place clean and their work looked impeccable. We still have some minor adjustments that need to be taken care of but this is due to my schedule and not to Brian's desire to get completed. After our HVAC reached the end of its life span, we consulted several contractors about a replacement system. Watson gave us a fair price for the job and they were able to get started the next day. Brian, the owner, walked us through the whole process. We had similar walk-throughs with other contractors so we could compare the level of detail or lack of. The job was a straight forward swap out but we wanted to make sure the installation was done right. Brian and Robert paid extra attention to installing the system properly and sealing the ducts to give us better air flow. Testing afterward showed the improvements. The whole system was insulated and wrapped neatly, which was a big improvement from our previous one. We are very happy with the new system and the job that Watson did. I had A/C issue where fan blower on inside unit was turning off and on constantly. Compressor was fine and kept running. I called a couple of places and was told it would be almost a week before they can come out. Which due to the hot weather I understood. I called Watson Heating and Air and spoke to Brian and he said he could get out within a day or two. Brian called me back and said he could be out the next day around noon-1pm. Then he called me the next day and said he had a cancel and could be out in the morning which was great. He found the issue after doing some testing and said fan blower was bad and needed replaced. He also replaced the capacitor that is on the fan as they both are over 30 years old. I had replaced thermostat earlier hoping that was the issue, but after Brian did his work the A/C is working great again. He spent a lot of time checking system to make sure he had the right fix. It took a little longer due to the age and make of our system (Lennox). But he got done the same day and I am very happy with his service and would highly recommend Brian and Watson Heating and Air. read more

If I could give Watson Heating and Air-Conditioning a 10 star rating I would. Brian and his company are absolutely the best. Brian installed a new unit in my parent's home in preparation for it to be sold. We had an open house on a very hot Saturday and the unit wasn't cooling the house. I called Brian on Saturday afternoon to see when he could come check it out, expecting him to tell me Monday at the earliest. He was finishing a job in LaVerne but said he would be there later in the evening. And he did really come out to the house that night. He used the key in the lockbox and checked the whole system, found a small refrigerant line leak which he repaired. He ran all his tolerance tests, etc. to ensure the system was fully functional and would be ready for our open house the next day. Who else in this crazy, lazy world would do this?? Brian stands behind his work, is honest and fair in his pricing. And, obviously, his work ethic is beyond compare. I have in the past, and will continue in the future, to refer Brian to all my friends and family for their Heating and cooling needs. After several AC contractors I was fed up. My unit is new but had to be repaired more than once. Then when it was fixed my rooms didn't cool evenly. My company's warehouse space had a 30+ year old gas heater that suddenly stopped working (not surprising, really). Murphy's Law, it was during a really cold spell, and the employees had to wear parkas, scarves, and ski caps. One of the employees knew Brian because he replaced her heater/AC unit at her house and suggested I give him a call. He and his crew came out and replaced the old unit at an unbelievably reasonable price! We also had him install a thermostat you can control from an app on your smartphone. The new unit and the convenience of the remote control has been a huge game changer. The warehouse is toasty warm and it can be warmed up before the first employee arrives. Brian's pricing is incredibly reasonable, and he and his crew are knowledgeable and efficient. One thing, if Brian's busy, which he usually is, you may have to call or email more than once. after spending $6K on a brand new ac system with the first time usage there was a major leak which caused water damage to ceilings and floor. the installers had the audacity to claim that someone else had "broken" their system. after reluctantly fixing the problem (under warranty) the system's electrical panel shorted which again was not their fault. they eventually came back to fix this with an after market part at their convenience, made a brief attempt to correct some of the water damage then stopped taking my calls essentially dismissing themselves from any further involvement. would not recommend these outfit to anyone! read more

The controller SCE installed at my A/C unit at my Yorba Linda home managed to shut down my system on the hottest - record - day of the year. Temp was 111 outside and my home temp went to 88. I called Brian that evening; he was on the spot with his assistant Frank at 7:22 AM the next morning. Brian found the problem, eliminated the SCE control unit which had fried a capacitor in the A/C unit, and we were back to a healthy temp inside the home in less than a half hour. read more
