We have had the need to use Allison air conditioning a few times over the last couple of years. Every time they have been extremely professional, polite, and most importantly trustworthy as they repair and share about what needs to be done with our AC and heating. We recently had them do a very large project of replacing AC and they did a wonderful job. The great thing is the job took the amount of time quoted and they put the manpower necessary on the job to make sure that it was done quickly. It was also done with great respect for our home. I got proposals for a new A/C (16 SEER) and furnace system from three Carrier authorized experts (two Award Winners), one Lennox dealer referred by Costco, and one "other" dealer. Only Allison's provided a "straight up" detailed itemized list of the exact Carrier equipment and services that they would provide. Not only that but every Allison's team member that I spoke to from Kenny the salesman, to Katie the office manager, to Junior the lead installer provided me with excellent information. The more I talked with them the more at ease I became with my first-time, major purchase of an A/C and furnace system. They were never condescending and always helpful. And, judging from the smile on the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) inspector's face, I made the right decision. The HERS inspector confirmed that Allison's installation was very well done. Referred to me by my neighbor across the street who went with Allison Air Conditioning for a full brand new HVAC install including zoning. SHORT OF IT: Expertise (industry knowledge), honesty, sincerity/genuineness, value of quality and integrity are how I would sum up Steve, his company and their offerings in my experience of them. THE LONG OF IT: There are certain purchases in life where these factors above always should come first, above anything else, especially expertise and sincerity, if you're looking to spend thousands on a brand new AC, Furnace, Duct and HVAC system (in my unique case). Without expertise and deep knowledge of industry or profession, saving a few bucks here and there could cost me a ton of money down the line. What I love most about Steve and his company during this process of evaluating different HVAC companies here in Southern California is that Steve will give you the recommendations that make the most sense for your home and your specific situation. Some of the other companies I am evaluating have withheld information or withheld making a helpful recommendation to me because they wanted to keep costs down hoping I would just sign with them, one company even pulled a gimmick like "Hey! Sign within 24 hours or the price I quoted you goes up!" I'd rather actually be told what would be the best situation for my budget, rather than someone not telling me something helpful because they think I'd be turned off by spending a little bit more. Specifically, in my case, no other company prior to Steve told me about the benefit of adding additional returns to the house when replacing a Central Air HVAC system. I am a voracious reader and someone who does extensive due diligence when it comes to anything in life, especially big purchases, I researched Steve's suggestion extensively online and learned that various HVAC experts throughout the country also said the same thing for my unique situation, confirming what Steve had told me. Can't express enough how appreciative I am of that. Only 1 other company after Steve's company made a similar suggestion. When I went back to a previous company I'm evaluating sharing with them the idea of adding additional returns, they admitted "Yea, I have 5 in my own home, sorry I didn't make that suggestion, wanted to be competitive with the bid." In my experience thus far, Steve and his company actually want you to make the best choice for your home and he is one of the most GENUINE people about the whole process and what is best for your preferred needs and situation. It gives me assurance that this is how they would do business whether it's a simple maintenance call or service call or in my unique case installing all new HVAC equipment after 25 years of having the original builder-grade stuff in my house. All the homes in my neighborhood are older, built in 1990's originally with all original builder equipment, my neighbor, who is upgrading his home's HVAC (with a much more complex and technologically advanced setup than what I'm looking at) is the one who told me about Steve and Allison Air Conditioning in the first place. He highly recommended them. One more thing I love about Steve, he follows up and follows through when you connect with him on questions, and he is detailed/thorough, this may seem standard, but there are two HVAC companies in this So Cal region that I met with that didn't even do that. We highly recommend Allison Heating & Air for your HVAC needs. We recently replaced an existing 30%year old HVAC system with a larger unit. The house is an historical Craftsman bungalow with unusual characteristics and, much to everyone's surprise, the old unit's duct boots were all improperly installed. In addition, the new unit had a defective part which was not easily obtained. Allison employees adapted to all these problems & issues with efficiency and good humor. They responded well to any special requests, answered all our questions & even took pictures of the unit in the attic for us. I had a great experience using Allison Air Conditioning. I am a local realtor and very picky on who I use. I got two quotes from other companies and Allison had the best price and value for what I was getting. We bought a 2 ton Goodman Air handler which went in the attic and a 2 ton condenser outside. They also upgraded our return intake duct and installed a new thermostat. They showed up with three guys in two nice trucks, they crew looked clean and professional they worked hard and got it all installed by the end of day. Jr, the lead installer is so calm and smooth and Phung was great too. Brad helped Jr and they cleaned up all areas where they worked and laid down a drop cloth. Phung made sure my condenser platform was level and I appreciated that they didn't rush to install they took the time to do it all right. Allison Air was referred to us by another air company that does not service Eastvale. Our air conditioner was making that horrid sound where you knew that you were going to be informed it was something expensive by the repair guy. Initially, we called another company, and WOW they were trying to overcharge us...and that's a gross understatement. We (thankfully) called Allison Air. They were able to come out ASAP and provided a free estimate (already different than the last company that charged $100 for a guy to come out and to see there is a problem, and then he had to schedule another guy to come out to relook at the AC unit and quote us). The quote from Allison was extremely fair and exponentially better than the initial quote. The quote matched the final cost, yay no hidden fees. Allison A/C and Heating sent a technician out to check our A/C which had stopped putting out cold air. The young technician was honest and forthright about not being able to fix it but said that his boss, the owner of Allison, would be out the next day. The owner came the next morning as promised. He was able to fix the relay to get the A/C compressor working again, fixed the fan that was making a loud noise, and installed a programmable thermostat for a total cost of $385.00. Both of them were extremely professional, honest and ethical. We highly recommend this company for the reasons stated above. We will always call them when we need repairs or service in the future. Anyone looking for an air conditioning company that comes highly recommended, look no further, Allison Air Conditioning receives my highest review for a job well done. I believe a company is only as good as its owner and Steve is the best. Having been disappointed that my Carrier air conditioner and furnace system that we spent over $10,000.00 to install lasted barely over 10 years (not installed by Allison Air) we researched companies and decided to go with Allison based on many discussions with Steve that indicated that he ran an honest and reliable company. Having just had a knee replacement and being required to sit in a CPM machine for 6-8 hours a day in addition to doing 30 minutes of physical therapy 3 times a day, I was not looking forward to suffering through this in 100+ degree weather with no air conditioning. In rode Steve on his white stallion (Okay, his white work van, same thing) to the rescue. I don't know how he worked his miracle, but within 2 days of leaving a message on his phone about which air conditioner we had chosen to replace the broken unit, he had a brand new one in and working like a charm, giving me no more excuses with which to make for not doing my knee recovery program. I was very impressed by Steve's installers as well. On the morning of installation, Jeff, Albert and Mark arrived ready to go. The first thing I noticed was that they were extremely respectful. Every time they had to come in and out of the front door, they opened and closed it completely and quietly! This may not seem like a big deal to some but we have cats that are indoor only so as not to become coyote fodder. I was expecting to have to keep watch over the front door as inevitably, someone always forgets and leaves it open a crack for the cats to escape and the flies to come in but this was not the case with Allison Air. I did not even have to mention it once and they had to come through the house many times. The ultimate test was that one of my cats, who is a big chicken, never sticks around even when family comes over. He typically heads straight under the bed. Imagine my shock when I realized that he had fallen asleep in the living room and did not hide. This has NEVER happened! These guys were so respectful and quiet that he was not threatened, very impressive! And last but not least, Steve arrived to show us how to work our fancy new thermostat, and test the unit to ensure that it was working properly and that all was well, which it was and is. But I have absolute faith that if we have any issues or concerns, all it will take is a phone call to Steve to handle them. Oops! Almost forgot a very important point. We were given a vey good and fair price for the work that was done. I was a bit nervous that with the temperature rising, we would get reamed with a huge bill. Didn't happen. We couldn't have been happier from start to finish with Allison Air. It restores my faith to know that there are still honest and dependable contractors out there with integrity. read more

I turned on the heat for the first time this year, and what a racket! I turned it off right away, and made some calls. Allison Heating & A/C sent someone out the next day. Tanner came in an recognized the noise right away, but wanted to try out some of the easier solutions first. After testing the system, it turns out, he diagnosed the problem correctly. Steve, back at the office, worked up an estimate, and ordered the compressor compatible with my system. And Katie, kept me informed throughout the process. Tanner installed the compressor today, and ensured the system worked perfectly for both heating and air conditioning. What can I say. There is a reason for all the positive reviews for this company. I received service yesterday on my system. Richard from Allison called in the morning to confirm an appointment window and the service tech (Ken) was on time and called me when he was on his way. Great start....gets better. Ken was clean, polite and explained everything he was about to do and very open throughout his diagnosis. He was very thorough and methodical. He did not try to pressure me to buy things that were not necessary. He narrowed the problem down to 2 potential causes, and even suggested we try the less expensive of the two and said if that did not solve the issue he would come back out at a discount to install the more expensive part should the first procedure fail to resolve the issue. Who does that these days? I will tell you, an honest company, that's who. It was a complicated issue but the first procedure appears to have worked so I am a happy camper. My system is over 20 years old and I know it is just a matter of time before it gasps its last breath, but when I need to install a new system, guess who I intend to call? Hard to find honest people in business these days but this one is a gem. If you are indecisive about who you are going to call for your service, look no further. My first impressions were good. Steve was very informative and was open to my concerns regarding our new unit. I had new ducts,ac, gable fan in attic,and furnace installed with permits. It took 5 days for install, but ran into a problem when one of the installers foot went threw my ceiling. That repair job took another 2 days. The installer apologized and checked to see if we were satisfied during the repair process. You could tell it really bothered him , guess it doesn't happen as often as you might think. My house is only five years old and we've live there for only four. We had an issue with the A/C shutting off unexpectedly and had another Air & heating company come out (for the third time in a year) and they told us the compressor was about to go out and would need $4500 to change it out. Given that, I called Carrier headquarters to see if my unit was still under warranty and it was. Carrier gave me the numbers of a couple of folks in my area to call, and one was Allison Air. I needed a second opinion, and also to see if I really needed a new compressor. Richard, the technician came out and was very knowledgeable, friendly and walked me through the process of him checking my capacitor and compressor to see if anything looked like it needed to be replaced. After spending about an hour or so, testing and inspecting my unit, nothing was found to be critical or even borderline. Richard also checked my thermostat and saw evidence of something that probably caused my unit to shut off the way it did. Richard did not pressure me to buy or have him replace the thermostat. I am pretty handy and have replaced several thermostats before over the years. Bottom line, I paid the service fee and felt that I was treated very fairly. Richard was honest and dependable. I recommend Allison Air Conditioning to anyone who is having problems with their A/C or heating. read more

I have worked with contractors for about 30 years. I can honestly tell you, without any doubt, that if you are looking for a honest, fair, and knowledgeable company, you only need to make one phone call to Steve at Allison Air Conditioning. Our story: our upstairs a/c started blowing warm air and we called Company #1. Their tech said we were low on refrigerant. He added the 1 lb of refrigerant and we paid Company #1 $300.00. That night warm air started blowing again and they came out a few days later, now telling us we needed to pay $1100.00 to find the leak and they offered "no guarantees", and the price could go higher! I sent them away because I just realized I blew $300.00 and I was mad at myself by not using my common sense and shouldn't have allowed them to put in the refrigerant to begin with. Very long story, my plumber recommended Allison Air Conditioning. I scheduled the service call and the tech used his leak detector and found there were leaking valves right at the compressor. He gave us a ballpark estimate for the repair (no pushing us into a new unit). My husband and I talked about the fact that our unit (which came from the builder almost 10 years ago) and not very efficient, that we should ask for an estimate for a new unit to replace the workhorse/upstairs unit. Steve Allison did a thorough review of our house and provided us with several options. We chose the Carrier19 seer, new furnace along with the house air purifier. I mentioned to Steve that we all had allergies. For those with allergies, check the Carrier air purifier on youtube as an option. The team that installed the system were amazing. Their teamwork was really enjoyable to witness. The poor guys had to work in the attic at 100+ degrees and we never heard a complaint from any of them. It's also a good sign when the workers tell you how long they have worked for Steve Allison and that they also enjoy working for him. They are not a big company and are busy, but seriously they are worth the wait. There isn't a single thing I could say that needs improvement. Hindsight, I wish we would have called them sooner. Our new comfort is just too good to put into words. We live in a small community where we share our contractors and I am definitely going to let all know about Allison Air.
