We had the following services completed for under 3K in one day! - Install new gas flex and trap - 2 condenser coils cleaned - 19 ducts cleaned - Seal All Plenums with Pookie Tape - Replace 17 supply registers - Seal Condenser Lines Omar, our service tech, was friendly and informative.     We had a terrible experience with Absolute Airflow. Our AC compressor was making noise when starting/turning off, had them come out to diagnose the issue. We were told that we would need a new compressor because the valve or gears were bad and couldn't be repaired. The price to put a new one in would be $7,500! He recommended not doing that but that we'd be better off buying a whole new system due to our current one being outdated. Next day I consult with another AC person who says the coils are just really dirty (see picture of how terrible it ended up being and what absolute airflow missed) and the sound may just be the internal pressure relief. We cleaned it and now problem is gone! All it needed was a cleaning. These guys will try to rip you off.

PUNCTUALITY 7. THOROUGH EVALUATION We met with the following specialists: SEAN O'HARA (AC repair) - AC stopped emitting cool air. Fixed issue w/ filter repair. ALFRED BIRNHAUPL (AC leak repair) - Fixed pipe leak from AC and completed comprehensive assessment of our dysfunctional zoning system. DOMENICK ALONGE (project manager) - Reviewed findings from Alfred, provided detailed indication of issues and resolution options with several quotes. Here's why our experience has been superior to previous companies: All three specialists were not only punctual, friendly, and courteous, but they took their time to evaluate our issues in CLEAR layman terms corroborated by photos, and showing us exactly where the problems were in person. We previously obtained a quote from a large corporate company and was left feeling dumbfounded and stressed as they described the nature of our problem in engineering, technical jargon that made absolutely no sense, including astronomical quotes without explanation of the work entailed. We continued experiencing intermittent issues with our AC and heater so we called Friends & Family based on their excellent reviews. This time around, with Friends & Family, we left feeling knowledgeable and reassured, with reasonable quotes including various discount eligibility. We didn't feel pressured by them to choose one route vs. the other; rather, gained the information we needed to make an informed decision that would prevent such issues in the future. Overall, their attention to detail, ability to explain the issues and resolution routes in simple, concrete terms, were far superior than the preceding company. They exceeded our expectations and we much appreciated their patience and openness to answering all our questions. I also want to mention that I was gardening when SEAN was fixing our AC. He saw me struggling to dig a hole for my plant and volitionally offered to help me. He took the extra time to dig the hole for me, exemplifying his genuine kindness and generosity! Similarly, my kids were running amuck and screaming and shouting while I attempted to maintain a conversation with ALFRED. He was very understanding and continued to engage in conversation, appearing unbothered by the chaos with a pleasant disposition. Lastly, DOMENICK was appointed on the day of our son's birthday. He related to us interpersonally and even helped assemble my son's new Radio Flyer bike! I told him that Sean also helped me garden and we laughed about how Friends & Family is a "one-stop shop." Given everything I mentioned, we're excited to have our overdue AC/heater system fully repaired by Friends & Family. My air conditioner went out years ago and they changed it out. At the time they also wanted to do my furnace I told them no which my furnace was still good for another couple years and then they came back changed a part on it saving me a little money but the. It went out so I had to shell up the big bucks for it. The value here I do think is better than other places but I wish they would work on the upsell a little bit because times are tough and we don't need that but I do trust this company for things I do need.

From the beginning, I spoke with Anthony, who I believe is a manager or scheduler. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the issues I was having with the furnace. He was patient and explained the different parts of the furnace in a way that made sense, instead of it all sounding like a foreign language. He was also very responsive and text-friendly. On top of that, he gave me advice to contact my warranty company and get written confirmation of what they would and would not cover regarding costs. He didn't have to do that, but he made it clear he didn't want me spending money unnecessarily. The technician they sent was equally great. His name was Andrew, and he was on time and communicative throughout the entire process. I was at work, and he provided constant updates and photos. He went above and beyond with the service and even swept up the garage before leaving. All in all, I would absolutely recommend going with these guys. I know we're all trying to save a buck here and there, but you truly get what you pay for. These guys are top of the line. I hope I don't need HVAC service again anytime soon, but if I do, I know exactly who I'll call.

The first quoted me an absolutely ridiculous price that would have cost an arm and a leg. The second guy offered to do it for cheap but he couldn't figure out the issue so he just disappeared and never showed up. Kevin and Milo came in and had to clean up the mess left by the previous contractor, then thoroughly tested all the zoning, dampers, and zoning board to actually diagnose what was going on. Not only did they figure out the real issue, they fixed everything completely and at a very fair price. On top of that, Kevin noticed my thermostat wasn't functioning properly and replaced it on the spot, explaining exactly why it was causing problems. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and clearly knows this stuff inside and out, but what I really appreciated was how he explained everything in a way that actually made sense. No pressure, no sales pitch -- just honest options, estimated costs, and pros and cons for each path forward. And a huge cherry on top: they cleaned up extremely well afterward. Given the mess that had been left behind before, this really stood out to me. Everything was left neat and organized, and they made sure the area looked better than when they arrived. That level of professionalism and respect for your home goes a long way. Kevin is also just a genuinely great, friendly guy -- the kind of person you actually trust in your home (and honestly, the kind of guy you'd grab a beer with). Milo was also professional, efficient, and clearly knew what he was doing. Together, they were an awesome team. On the second attempt, they arrived 2 hours late and the third day the showed 3-hour s later after the service window I was given . When the technician finally came, he looked at my washer, ran a cycle, and told me nothing was wrong--even though I clearly explained that it wasn't draining properly. The very next morning, I ran a load of laundry and had the exact same issue: the water still wouldn't drain. I called them again and was given another window of 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but once again, they didn't show up until 6:00 PM. When the technician arrived, I asked about an error code I had found. His response was dismissive--he said he works on many machines and doesn't know all the error codes. In my experience, a trained technician can usually diagnose issues within minutes. At one point, he even showed me that he was using ChatGPT on his phone as part of his "diagnostic test," which was honestly concerning. He then quoted me $500 for the repair. I laughed and asked him to leave. Later, a manager called to confirm the same $500 flat rate but refused to break down the cost. I had already researched the part myself--it costs around $50-$80, which means they were charging over $400 in labor for what should be a relatively quick fix. Overall, this felt like unprofessional, untrained service. I would not recommend this company.
