I was on the hunt for another mattress and I finally found one I think my back kids going to be happy with. My salesperson was Shaynaya and she was absolutely great, professional and fun to work with. Answered all my question's and concerns. I think after trying the first two mattress's, but I still tried a few others. I think we both knew which one I'd probably chose and I was right. Was greeted by sales associate Dolores Valenzuela that showed us several different sectionals on the floor. She understood exactly what we were looking for and suggested we also talk to Elaine Simmons, one of their designers. Not enough space to state all the positive comments we can list pertaining to her assistance and guidance. Purchased the sectional we really liked, and it is perfect in our house. Came here to look for a replacement living room couch setup. We worked with Rubie and she took wonderful care of us. Always eager to help and answer all of our questions. She found the perfect couch setup for us. Delivery was interesting as they really don't offer you a time slot just they let you know when they are coming and you deal with it or try again another day. Definitely needs to be addressed by management. Basically got told the computer sets the route and nothing they can do. When pieces arrivef I was super happy. I got a personality note from Rubie in the mail. Management she's an awesome employee definitely recommend working with her if you got in to look a something. I walked into the Mathis Outlet last week after my power recliner died and was immediately greeted by Toni (Tonantzin) who asked me how I was and what I was looking for and my color choices. She suggested I start in the clearance section because she knew there was one that was just what I was looking for. I didn't even know that a recliner could have so many bells and whistles! It is perfect and as she was writing it up I told her I wanted to look at a new couch too. Again the clearance section had exactly what I wanted at half what I expected to pay! Yay!Toni told me what I could expect from her and Mathis Brothers and she didn't exaggerate, delivery in 3 days ( a Saturday) or any day the next week! They called me to give me a time window and then they called me day of delivery to offer an earlier time if I wanted as they were running early. It was perfect! 2 really nice guys moved my old furniture into the garage for me and set everything, A couple hours later Customer Service called to make sure everything was okay. I mentioned an issue I had noticed after the guys had left and they immediately setup another appointment for Tuesday again with texts and calls confirming the appointment! The expert fixed my issue, a plug not plugged in and got me working the way it did in the store! What a wonderful experience! I am writing this review with extreme disappointment. After what I thought was a very positive experience, much to my dissatisfaction this does not end well. I purchased a sleeper sofa this past week which was listed for $1500 on the showroom floor. Great, after more information the sales person told me the price was actually $2100 and the listed price was member pricing only. Great, I will become a member for $139. Oh and the delivery to my home will be an additional $169. Still good as I was hoping for delivery anyway. Once the Sleeper Sofa arrived we noticed the "mattress" was different than the one on the showroom floor. Deliver guy (very nice) said, "sometimes they are just a different color". Quickly we realized this was NOT the same mattress that we inspected on the showroom floor. Calling Mathis office we were told that the "mattress" on the floor was actually a $500 up charge. At no time did the salesperson tell us this was an "up charge" and we specifically asked about the mattress as we were shopping this at multiple stores. Bla bla bla. Long and short of this, we feel and were DECEIVED!!! Buyer beware BUYER BEWARE. Google reviews are positive, HOWEVER, read their reviews on consumer affairs, Yelp and Better business bureau and YOU WILL NOT PURCHASE from them. Unfortunately, I got GOT. Shame on me. read more

I got to go into the store shortly after it reopened a couple weeks ago. They checked my temperature & asked me a couple health questions. Once I was cleared quickly, I got a disposable wristband & was allowed to enter. The sales people kept the safe distance, wore masks, & took my order. The store provided hand sanitizer stands in a couple places. My sales person was real nice & said he was happy to get back to work. My transaction went smoothly & the item was delivered within a day or two... Very happy! Definitely recommend this company! read more

Don't shop here!!! More issues with the product and the company than any other store. I have a couch that's needed cushions replaced twice and it's barely two years old. They sent someone out to assess, he recommended all cushions be replaced and then I get a random call from the store saying the cushions are not under warranty, even though he came out just to assess them and agreed they're flat. This is the most poorly managed store with the worst customer service I've ever seen. They look you in the face and tell you one thing and do something else. Do not shop here! read more

I purchased a $1200 Serta mattress in August of 2020, by October 2020 (8 weeks!) the mattress developed significant sags and dips that began causing my partner and I back, hip, and leg pain. We are both petite people with a brand new sturdy bed frame. We contacted Mathis Bros via phone, email, and chat multiple times to begin the process of exchanging the mattress. It took several months and calls before someone returned our call only to tell us to contact the mattress manufacturer. The Mathis Bros representative was obviously unclear about what the exact next steps were. Per their instruction, I contacted the manufacturer. Additional months go by with no follow up from Mathis. I call again and miraculously they'd *just* received my claim at the time of the call. Wow. Sure. We keep requesting updates and timelines with no response from Mathis for another two weeks or so. Emails go unanswered. Finally about TWO+ WEEKS AGO we get an email saying the exchange had been approved, however we would need to pay yet another $150 delivery fee or physically return the old mattress and pick up the new one ourselves. When we requested that they waive the fee because of the faulty mattress that only held up 8 weeks and the extreme inconvenience of having a bad mattress for a year after calling and emailing since last year, they once again ceased to reply. Today we get an email essentially saying the fee willl not be waivedOne year later and we still have no new mattress and are looking to be out $300 in delivery fees on a $1200 mattress that didn't last three months. I would never purchase a thing from this company again. This is beyond poor customer service. read more

This is my first 1 star review. -- First, a sales person lied to us. I asked to see a specific couch we saw online. He showed us a hard, ugly couch. I asked why it had different legs and a different name? He said it was just the color. The color I wanted was "way over there." Then showed super expensive couches instead. What??? -- We find a different sales person, Alan, who was LOVELY. He was kind and explained to us the couch was actually in the outlet not it that store. He even walked us over to help find someone to help us there. This sales person, Alejandro, was equally great. -- We bought an in stock couch so we could have it Friday. We were told 100% it would be delivered on Friday, but the time of day wouldn't be specific. We moved a vacation to be there. The delivery service called Thursday to say it could be there anytime in the next 3 weeks. Seriously. -- The couch is $200 less online. At this point, I just can't... what is wrong with this place?? 5 stars for Alan and Alejandro -5 for lying sales person -5 for delivery service ----- Update: -- I asked for a refund on Friday. Was told the "Payment Team" would be calling me by the end of day. No call. -- I reach out again on Saturday. They called back. Yay! They can't process the refund until Monday. Walked in and almost immediately get that salesman pouncing on us "how can I help, let me show you this... ask for me if you buy anything... " immediately turned off by this type of business setup. I'm guessing working by commission. The same sales guy followed us around and when we mentioned going over to the adjacent outlet he said ask for his friend blah blah. Also did not know about Mathis member pricing since all furniture contains "mathis member pricing". I saw that membership costs $139 a year. Very much disliked the way they operated at this store. It's quite disconcerting to be assailed the minute you walk into the showroom. It's actually off-putting. I understand that the salespersons work on commission, but this is the only place I've ever been to in the Coachella Valley where this occurs. It's actually uncomfortable, and makes shopping there unpleasant. But they do sell nice lines of furniture. Addendum (following Rick's reply.) Rick, I appreciate your response. Yes you do have a wide variety of lines and furniture in each of your showroom buildings. And yes, I am sure some people do appreciate having a sales person nearby to answer questions they may have. The emphasis here is on "some." But I think you missed the point here: having a sales person hover over you and follow you like you're being surveilled for theft should be optional, and people who are expressing disappointment with this practice and the impression they're given the minute they walk in the door, you should take it to heart. Perhaps have your salespersons hand their business card to shoppers and say "please call me Or page me if you need assistance and I will be happy to meet you where ever you are at in our store." read more

Bought a coffee table from them about 2 years ago which is already falling a part. 2 years later they charged my card another $107. Called them back to ask about the charge. Guy answered the phone was very rude and right away gave a refund without explaining what was the charge for. Now this makes me think that they save customers credit card info and later date they charge a random amount hoping they won't notice?
