It's medium in size, but packed (but not junky) with artwork, furniture, and decor. Prices were surprisingly affordable (yes, there are high cost items too). I got an original design art piece along with other artwork and a beautiful glass vase from Poland (thick glass) among other things. When I learned he ships anywhere, I was able to get a large square glass dining table that my daughter- in- love fell in love for them (house warming gift) -- it will be shipped up north. Austin has a wealth of design knowledge he willingly shares. He is personable and also helped us fit everything in our van creatively. We couldn't have done it without him! The worker explained there was a 12-month option but stated clearly that we were not signing up for that. My boyfriend signed a handwritten contract that I read carefully, and it matched what we were told. The following day, when we created an account with the financing company, we discovered the plan was actually 12 months, with a total cost of almost $5,000. The agreement on file was different from what was signed in-store and was electronically signed without us being shown or given the opportunity to review it. To avoid paying excessive interest, we paid the balance off immediately. The furniture itself is great, but I strongly recommend that future customers triple-check all financing paperwork and verify terms directly with the financing company before leaving the store.

There's parking along the street as well as parking lots around it. You have shopping but nothing massive with chain stores. More shop small stores and boutiques. There's like one or two little cafes and a couple of restaurants. It could be the summer season that makes it pretty slow and quiet. But for a Friday you would have thought there would have been people out and about. Also the heat does make it unbearable and uncomfortable to be outside. We saw maybe a handful of people walking around. Also it seemed like the whole shopping area was closed as there was no one out and about. But they were open. Restaurant didn't seemed opened either as I think some only open for dinner. One did look open for lunch but it was emptied. I hope that it does pick up during the weekend as people are in town visiting. It wasn't much as i was expecting so much more. One or two shops that I walked in was quite nice. A bit pricey but a lot of beautiful items. I hope that's it's only quiet as it the summer months where there's less guest visiting. Hopefully it isn't alway like this and is so much more. I'll have to check it out again when the season is cooler.

Her demeanor was unfriendly from the start no greeting, no smile, and she looked me over with a slight frown. When I asked about the Arrata brand, she told me they no longer carry it, then directed me to the back area and said the items there were 50% off and that I could check the rack in case something was there. After spending about ten minutes searching, I found an item. At that point she changed her story and said the price on the tag was not 50% off and that it was full price. This was completely different from what she originally told me. My family and I have shopped here before, so this experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I came specifically to purchase a Mother's Day gift, and the lack of courtesy, clarity, and consistency made the visit unnecessarily frustrating. She blew it Lulu, we will never come back and we will pass the word along. Be nice to everyone afterall we keep the rent paid.

I know this seems a low bar, but if you shop at TJ Maxx, Off 5th on El Paseo, Ross and other discount stores that are in the same competitive space, this is not the norm. The Ross staff down the street hollers at you "WELCOME" in hope that distracts you from seeing the piles of misplaced merch in the aisles, and then you end up waiting in a monumental line that makes you wonder if you really need that $19.99 item. At this Marshalls, I can find nice displays of clothing at the front of the store of multiple brands' offerings, with my size 2 or 4 still available on the rack. The dressing rooms are clean and offer nice lighting so I don't obsess on my imperfections. Overall a great experience shopping here and I definitely recommend this Marshalls.

We went to the Indo store and Alan Salazar, the sales person at that store greeted us and showed us the mattress we were looking for so we could actually test the mattress. He was very knowledgeable as well as very personable, and guided us to the model that would work best for us. He answered all our questions and gave us very helpful information. The mattresses arrived and were very professionally and quickly added to our bedroom, and our old mattresses quickly taken away. The testing at the store, the sale and the delivery were all handled as best as we could have possibly asked for, and we love our new mattresses.

I bought my former mattress from Mattress Showroom 4 1/2 years ago. Theyre good people who sell a good product -- many of them, actually. I got a good deal yesterday on a quality Diamond brand mattress plus a mattress protector that covers the top and all four sides. Carmen is the area manager. She didn't give me the store but I think she treated me very fairly after I explained that the "waterproof mattress protector" I had been using allowed car urine to saturate the mattress. My poor boy (cat) had developed the condition called feline idiopathic cystitis, which caused him pain and bladder spasms and to urinate in inappropriate places. I tried everything to remove the odor, to no avail. Interestingly, the company that made that mattress protector I had been using no longer manufacturers them. Likely due to too many failures. Even though they had originally guaranteed replacement of the mattress if anything leaked through they just flat out refused when I contacted them. I'm thinking of taking them to court but I haven't decided yet. Back to Carmen: very nice to deal with and I am grateful that she worked with me to slightly lessen the impact of a very expensive accident. I must also mention a gentleman named Gabriel who also works at the Rancho Mirage store. I had spoken with him a week earlier about a replacement for the mattress protector, in case I was able to save the mattress. (Utter failure). I was impressed with his knowledge and his genuine concern for my predicament. When I went into the store yesterday to actually make the purchase -- the day after I talked to Carmen -- Gabriel went out of his way to make me feel that he actually cared about me as a customer and to honor the deal that Carmen had offered me. He's just an all-around nice guy. Even the sales people in other local branches of the store give him high marks for his knowledge and customer service skills. He made me feel welcome in the store and was appropriately sympathetic to my predicament. I recommend Mattress Showroom very highly. Five for sure. I did shop around a bit but their prices -- especially thanks to Carmen's sensitivity -- beat the best other comparable deal I could find by at least $200. read more

Consumer Warning: Deceptive Tiered Pricing and Veiled Costs (Strongly Advise Caution) I have been a loyal customer of Mathis Brothers since 2003, but my most recent visit has profoundly changed my opinion. I am writing this to strongly caution other adult buyers who expect clear, honest pricing. My recent experience trying to purchase a recliner uncovered a deceptive and poorly disclosed tiered pricing system that feels like a slap in the face. Deceptive Pricing on Tags: The prominent price, marked in large RED type, is only for "members." The true, non-member price is deliberately placed in a smaller, matte black font, making it easy to miss. Nowhere upon entering the store, nor during browsing, is this membership pricing clearly explained or made overtly known. A "Maze" Designed to Frustrate: The young sales associate was able to pull up my 19-year customer history with ease, yet this loyalty counted for nothing when it came to pricing. The dominant RED price is held hostage by a membership fee. This new, deceptive pricing tier practice is designed to maze and will frustrate, showing a complete lack of respect for the customer. Hidden Costs: On top of the tier pricing, the delivery fee quoted was nearly the price of the chair itself. Poor Disclosure: I had to practically "pull teeth" to get basic product measurements. Thankfully, I had the common sense to measure my own car hatchback for fit over buying first and finding out that the merchandise was incapable of fitting. My Advice to Buyers: If you are not a very frequent furniture buyer, think twice before conducting business with Mathis Brothers. The price you see is NOT the price you will pay. reply to Rick for Mathis: I will never recommend, or buy from Mathis again. Trying to explain what Mathis believes someone wants is laughable. If I wanted Costco and a hot dog or a pizza slice, I could have bought there. read more

This is now the second time I have been in this store and had a very bad experience. On Monday i went shopping with my husband for new couches. We found a couple on the first floor that we liked and a sales man said that there were more couches up top. So We head to the second floor to look at the couches that were in the clearance section. I found one that I really liked! Told the salesman thats the one I want. So he goes and prepares the paperwork. Meanwhile my husband was trying out the recliners and one VERY RUDE sales associate snaps at my husband saying "You cant sleep here!" so my husband snaps back and says "I am not, my eyes are open!" The man just walked away rolling his eyes!!! EXCUSE ME!!!! I don't know who that man thinks he is but you don't talk to costumers that way!!! At the time I didn't know this happened because we would've walked out at this point. However, I am standing by the couch I thought I was buying, a different salesman comes by and sits on the couch and starts writing stuff on a little sold ticket. I stood there and said i am buying this couch, he replies" No this couch is sold.She was just looking around." So I stand there amazed!!! Then the lady came by and told the sales guy that she thinks she really liked this one! Excuse me, I thought she had already bought it!!! She wasnt even 100% sure if she wanted it! The sales guy that was helping me walks over and says " sorry I cant sell it to you." I was so mad!!! I told my husband what happen and we walked out! Never again! Go somewhere else where they will actually remember that the costumer is the one walking in with the money and its the costumer that makes sure they have jobs!!!! After reading the negative reviews, I had to add my comments. My husband & I have shopped here for 8+ years. The sales peole have never stalked and the last few times I have been in the store in, they have assisted with my inital inquiries and told me they would check back. I actually have been given their cards and then texted them with questions (since the store is so huge!). ALL of the sales folks we have worked with have been friendly and helpful. I have called back to get more specifics on furniture I saw and again, helpful reponses. A few years ago, I bought my elderly mother a recliner and after 6 months or so, there was an issue. They came out to repair, but Mom still wasn't happy...they ended up replacing her chair with brand new. Trust me, they also did alot of 'babysitting' with her, as she is very picky! Alot of the furniture we have purchased over the years is now in nieces & nephews homes and tomorrow they are delivering our new living room set. Which by the way, I ordered over the phone with my helpful sales associate:-) Doesn't get any easier than that. Truth be told, we saw this living room set at Ashley (1st time to shop there), but they did a bait & switch on us when it was time to pay. Ended up going back to Mathis Bros and discovered they could get the exact set we wanted. AND, unbelievably Mathis Bros was less expensive than Ashley (even though it is an Ashley product!) The Coachella Valley is fortunate to have such a great furniture store. read more

I made a purchase of a sectional sofa on August 12, 2023, with a promised delivery time of six weeks. However, it has now been eight weeks since the purchase, and when I finally received a delivery date, I was shocked to discover that half of the sectional was missing. Despite making 15 calls to resolve this issue, my only offered solution, even after prepayment, is to wait an additional six to eight weeks for the missing part. To compound the problem, another part of my order arrived broken. This situation is deeply unsatisfactory, especially given my history as a loyal customer who has spent a substantial amount, approximately $15,000, at this store. Regrettably, the store manager in Indio, Josh Northrup, provided extremely poor customer service. He explained that the missing part was due to an accidental oversight and the best he could do was to reorder the part, resulting in an extended waiting period of 6-8 weeks, along with a 10% discount as compensation. I have already taken steps to escalate this issue by filing a complaint with the corporate office, and I am also planning to file a report with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This level of service is wholly unacceptable and falls far short of the standards I expect as a loyal customer. read more

I recently visited Mathis Brothers to browse patio furniture. Upon arrival, the sales staff were overly attentive, accompanying us to the patio department without offering privacy. Although we selected a furniture set, we didn't make the purchase that day. After expressing our interest to a salesperson, we didn't expect to be pressured into signing documents or making a deposit immediately. Over the next two days, I received six emails and numerous texts from the salesperson. The furniture was advertised as having "free delivery," but at the checkout, I was charged $195 for delivery. They later reduced it to $99, explaining that "free delivery" only applied to curbside drop-off, like Amazon, where you unpack and assemble the items yourself. There was a lack of transparency about this. Additionally, the items I wanted were not on my quote, and I was told to go to the department, take a picture of the SKU, and bring it back to them - they didn't offer to help. Customer service at the store was abysmal. The store manager promised to call me about the delivery fee but never did. It seems they prioritize money and quick turnover over customer care. I would recommend purchasing furniture online and hiring someone for assembly. read more

I wanted a couple of weeks ago to purchase a mattress I seen the one that I like I went to other stores to compare prices and quality and Mathis Brothers had the best mattress , so I thought after purchasing the mattress that we wanted, we were walking out when the salesman said that there are clearance ones marked down maybe there's one that is the same and he said there was we purchased it at half the price which was $2000 original price was $3700 so we thought we got a very good deal after getting it delivered at noon time December 2 at 11:30 AM after sleeping on the bed from 9 PM to 1 o'clock in the morning. I woke up because my body was aching. I couldn't sleep on the bed. I went to the store at 10:15 AM the following day and all the guy said is call the Oklahoma number. See what they can do for you. I'm sorry I couldn't do anything. The sales people are there. Talk a good game because they get commission unfortunately this is the second time that I've did a purchase and had an issue issue. The first time we spent a little under 10 K and again the sales women talk to good game, but when it came down to the service, it was not there. This is my second time into Mathis Brothers. I had a really bad experience the first time. The second time wasn't better. I walked in with my mom and asked if I could browse without a sales person. Instead of respecting my wishes, I had a sales person introduce herself as Kathryn and then follow us, really "stalk us" throughout the entire store. When she just couldn't bare leave us alone anymore (and we did not wave at her like she had said to do if we needed help) she said.. "I know you said you would like you're space, but I want to let you know I can order these chairs for you in any color". I wasn't looking for chairs. I was looking for a dining room table. I then asked her again to please not intervene. It's a totally stressful sales environment. I was a sales manager at a store on El Paseo and never once did I have a customer have to tell me more than once to please let them browse/shop. Especially, if I had previously told them to wave at me and they DID NOT WAVE. It was completely crazy and disrespectful and frustrating to the point of almost tears. Period. read more

We visited the store on 5/15 and were immediately greeted by Georgina Duncan. She patiently spent time showing us various loveseat recliners. As a result, Georgina recommended we consult with a "free" designer visit to our home. Dolores Valenzuela contacted us and set an appointment for Wednesday the 22nd. We spent 2 delightful informative hours discussing furniture options for our new home. On Saturday the 26th we met Dolores at the store and spent 4 wonderful hours looking at loveseats, chairs, rugs and dining sets. in the process, Byron joined us to show and explain rug alternatives. Georgina also visited with us during our travels through this vast store. The end result was a multiple piece purchase of furniture. All the employees were extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable; even Fred the sales manager whom we met at the end of the day - oh, and Isaiah who handled the checkout process was fantastic. was doing a restaurant review and just thought of recent (and always) great service there at Indio Mathis Brothers. Bought a new place there in Andalusia in La Quinta last year and with the guidance and very helpful Ralph Mendoza (and a great selection of furniture and accessories) we have been able to furnish our new home there. Would not wanted to have done it without Ralph... his suggestions have almost always been spot on when it comes to our taste. He has gotten to know us and it shows when he makes a suggestion. Love his honest directness also, not afraid to let us know when we are wandering off track... we need direction sometimes and he is the right person for the job. We also like Byron over in the rugs.... has been superb in service and just a fun person to interact with... super helpful. and love the selection of rugs you keep... some of them are practically works of art... beautiful! in short, love everything about Mathis... happy to hear your opening in Orange County... finally! read more

We needed new living room furniture for our home in La Quinta because our old furniture was peeling and very uncomfortable. We placed an order for a set while we were in another state with a different company. We were promised and guaranteed that the furniture would be in the warehouse by June. When I didn't receive a phone call letting us know that our furniture was ready to be delivered, I called to check on the status. I found out that it was not going to arrive until at least October when we needed the furniture by Labor Day. We decided to visit Mathis Brothers Furniture and was able to purchase nicer furniture and got a better price. Ramon assisted us and we appreciated the way he let us look around without hovering over us. The furniture arrived in our home by Labor Day and we love it. Dissappinted with my experience with Mathis Brothers. With quality furniture I was sure to receive an amazing customer service as well. I spent 12k in furnishing my home, they brought it in and built it.With a purchased warranty as well so I know that im covered if anything were to happen. Recently my recliner sofas have become inoperable, so I made the call for them to come fix it. I already have a pending appointment with them for fixing my barstool chairs, that have not been addressed since September 2021. I have been calling for my sofa since December 2021. I have been holding back in making this review but it is absolutely disappointing that I have to write this down in order to have these item fixed. For people wanting good quality furniture but poor customer service this is your destination. I recently bought another house and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

If I could give Mathis bros more than 5 stars I would . I bought. Recliner. Couch and recliner sofa for 2 rooms of my home. I contacted mathis bros since the fabric was wearing after a short time. They sent out a service person to exam and take pictures. They sent the informational n and picture to the manufacture after a few weeks the manufacture refused to work with me and Mathis Bros. I contacted the service manager Josh at Mathis Bris about the decisions . He was so very professional concerned and said he would fix my problem without the help of the. Manufacture . Josh always spoke to me in a concerned manner and really went the extra mile. I feel Mathis Bros has the best customer service I have ever received . I've lived in the Coachella valley my whole life. When I purchased my home in 2009 all that was left for me to do was to buy some furniture. I browsed around a few different stores in the valley but nothing compared to the selection and quality of furniture that Mathis has to offer. When I first walked in the store I was intimidated by the large selection and did not know where to start. I was lucky enough to have the sales assistants and professional expertise of Anthony Gonzales. from the moment anthony started helping me I felt comfortable and confident that Mathis brothers was going to be the place that I would find the right furniture for my home. It's now 2016 and I've made numerous purchases from Mathis brother and the only person I will deal with is Anthony Gonzales. I went to this location because I was in a market for a coffee table and TV stand. My husband and I were in Palm Springs for a weekend and didn' t have too much time to shop. We were greeted by sales person, Rene Zapata. He was very customer service oriented. He knew we were pressed for time, so created an order list of items we were interested in, and for a small deposit, he ensured that we could lock the current sales price and not miss out on furniture being sold to someone else. I committed to purchasing the furniture after a few days. The process was easy, and the furniture was delivered in just a few days. Rene also called me to let me know there was additional 10% off, and that he would assist me to get the difference back. Overall, had an amazing experience. I cannot say enough good things about our recent experience with Mathis Bros. They took back a 3 year old bed that was defective and gave us our entire purchase price back ($3k+). That is unusually unheard of! Our salesman, David Hampton was knowledgeable, and if he could not answer our question, he got the right store person who could give us all the information we needed. A great experience with David. Also, Veronica Garcia is an exceptional employee in their customer service dept. My dealings with her throughout our mattress issues were always handled with her friendly and cooperative assistance. Alejandra Gastelum in the cashier dept. was also very pleasant. On Jan 13th I went to Mathis Brothers not knowing exactly what I wanted. Mind you it was my first time buying couches. While walking in, I ran into Tonantzin Bautista(Toni) who was very helpful. I hate to say it but when it comes to it, I get very picky to what I am looking for. After I gave her the specifics of what I was looking for, I was happy to see that she costimized the varities to what I wanted. After that, she also went on to show me great pieces to add on that went well with the couches I picked in the end. Toni made the experience not only helpful but very comforting without having to deal with any stress of seeing things I didn't want. I know who I plan to go to when I need something else. My dryer is starting to squeak. I hope Mathis Brothers sells washers and dryers now. Lol read more

About a week ago my wife and I came in looking for a couple of recliners. David Hampton introduce himself and was exteremly courteous and professional. After a couple hours of David helping and anserwing all of our questions we walked out with two new Lazy Boy recliners and love them. I explained my pleasant experience with David to my mother and a few days later we brought in my 97 year old grandmother to look at power recliners and a sofa. Believe it or not she still lives alone in her condo and enjoys her independence. I explained the situation to David. David was extremely understanding and polite to my grandmother and mother and answered all of their questions. After a few hours we walked out with a Lazy Boy powered recliner and a sofa for grandma and she loves them both. read more

Thank you so much for your reviews. I was about ready To go and ck them out .prices look good. They should close this stores. I don't think it is an employees problem,the real fact is that the owner sounds very tipycal conservative , MIT Romney style of employer where they don't pay employees but they reward them with a lousy 3% commission and ofcourse when you tell them you need a couple of chair they will start to freak out since you we're the first client they had all week. Car dealers, furniture stores, clothing stores and some other businesses do that. Most of them are large corporations. Hope they dye starving ,they won't get my business and hope they won't get yours. One star but actually is zero. read more
