I have now worked with 1st security for both on my homes. For me it's those two things that really stand out. Customer service and "it just works." In terms of customer service, it's hard to do better. The company's response time to questions is very fast. That's pretty much what you want. As for "it just works," the Alarm.Com system and equipment they are a dealer for really gives you peace of mind. It's actually secure. I could not be more pleased to work with and recommend the company.

The monitoring is essentially useless. The company will bind you in a 3-year contract…read more At the end of the contract they wont cancel it. In spite of what they told me two months before upon an inquiry I made. Instead they continued to debit my account. There is no way to stop it from your bank. Be aware of the scam and of their lies. When I cancelled with a form that I have to fill out, there was no acknowledgement. They still debited my bank account. They argued that there was a 3 days cancellation policy; this 3 months after my 3 year contract has ended. I have to yell for them to promise a refund for only 1 month. I am holding my breath. If this goes on, I will take them to court.

On top of that, no one can come out for almost 24hrs from now? This just feels like a scam or major problem waiting to happen, I'll pass. Service rep never even told me her name and made it clear that she didn't listen to what my actual problem was, she didn't even know I asked for 2 keys instead of one because she wasn't paying attention!! Long pauses on the phone mid conversation where I had to say "hello" multiple times to get a response. 2 thumbs down, definitely would not recommend this company for anything!!

It's the week of getting house stuff done before I go on vacation. So my door has been drafty,…read morecreaky, and crooked for a while, but I finally decided to get it addressed. Right after putting in an inquiry on here, I got a message and then a phone call not long after that. I scheduled for the 2-4pm time frame for someone to come and give me a free estimate, and two guys showed up at 1:53pm. I was surprised, because I was told I would get a text, but I didn't. It didn't work in their system for some reason, I saw him try in front of me. But it was a pleasant surprise, I was available! Their names were Elmer and Kingston. They assessed the door, told me what they would have to do to fix it, gave me the honest price point, and asked me whether I wanted to hold off or have it done immediately. I decide to just get it done, and so I asked them to hold on for me to secure my cats so they wouldn't run outside. They literally had to take the door off of the hinges! They used that time to go grab tools and a patiently waited for me to let them know when my cats were secured. The job didn't take that long, I didn't actually time it.... Maybe about 40 minutes? They were efficient and really did their thing. So now, my door is fixed and I'm ready to go on vacation. They aren't the closest geographically, but they do serve the entire area. Would recommend if your door is having issues!

I followed every instruction, including hiring movers since they told me the tenants belongings needs to be removed for the eviction to be complete. When the sheriff arrived I was told I needed a certificate of mailing, something her office never mentioned nor took care of. Even though a previous email mentioned she would take care of this, she changed her tune to say this is something property managers do. They also gave me procedures for a different jurisdiction. I spent hours at the courthouse figuring everything out myself. No accountability, no apology, and no refund. If you're hiring an attorney for clarity or support, I suggest looking elsewhere.
