I asked him to replace a rear tail light on my car and he quoted me a price and said it included everything, parts and labor. It took him 15-20 minutes to do the job and then he presented me a bill that was $80 more than what he quoted. He said the $80 was for labor. Of course, I protested and reminded him of the quote and that it included the labor. He simply denied making any such statement. Additionally, I noted he was charging 6.25% sales tax, when its only 6%. I called the sales tax office while there and they told him it was 6% and he is violating the law by charging more. Think about it. If you're paying an extra .25% that goes directly into his pocket. Anyway, I paid for the light and $60 labor, much to my chagrin. Even paying $60 for 20 minutes labor was a ripoff. Clearly, I will never do business with this guy again. All I can do is warn others.

And then the engine you put in my car didn't even need a engine so that right there just ruined value. Then he tells me it's my transmission it needs a transmission. I told him I wanted to go take my car somewhere else because I could get a transmission rebuilt I want someone else to look at it well then he said he had my engine and transmission all out of the car I couldn't get anybody to touch it. I told him I didn't want him to put the transmission in it he did so then he charged me almost $6,000 and then he tells me that he's not going to charge me for that engine that he put in my car but he's charged me for all kinds of parts and stuff for it. And then you put other parts that I didn't even know anything about. Any still has my car He's had it almost a year. Doesn't answer my calls and finally complaints doesn't do any good so I'm going to take him to court. And then the things that he said cause the transmission I was trying to get my insurance to look into it. And then he started backing up even though I had it in writing what he said caused it even had phone conversations he backed up totally when he talked to those people. Lies and then the complaint that I filed he never responded he said he didn't receive anything because the owner of the place and been the hospital. But he told me he owned it. So again I wouldn't trust him or take my car to him for nothing He's a liar. And I had to put a star to be able to post this but they don't deserve a star. But it's the only way I could get it posted.

A friend turned us on to Tony and the guys a couple of years ago and we don't take our vehicles anywhere else. They're closed on Saturdays so working people like us need to plan ahead. But good for them - they work hard and deserve their weekends off. What really impressed me was, on our most recent oil change, I mentioned that my wife's 1999 4-Runner had a squeaky belt. Tony called me to tell me that the belts all looked fine; he couldn't find anything wrong. I was VERY impressed. For all I knew, he could have told me that she needed to have all of the belts replaced and whacked me for a couple hundred dollars. But he didn't. And THAT'S why Clyde's has our business! We also bought a new set of tires from them recently for our '05 Civic and they gave us a great deal. Clyde's can do it all from simple oil and filter changes to complete engine teardowns. No need to go anywhere else!

We left the highway the first chance we had and pulled into this establishment. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience. The problem was the brakes in the tt were not working. They were able to diagnose, obtain parts and do all necessary repairs in a professional and timely manner. Also discovered the tires were ready to pop. We now have a brake control mechanism inside the truck and new tires, springs and bearings. A sincere thank you to all involved in the process!

Response to the owner:…read more Ted, You are full of it! I asked you for a FULL inspection, and I SPECIFICALLY asked you for the cost as well. We talked nothing about a "visual" inspection. I told you upfront that the car had been sitting for a few months (NOT YEARS) and I wanted everything checked thoroughly! Then I left your shop and within an hour the alternator fails?? Sorry, but if you were reputable, that would NOT have happened. And the other shop I chose, fixed the car with NO FURTHER ISSUES and cost me far less than what you quoted. The "vent repair" you said I needed and wanted to charge me over $500 for......well there was never anything wrong with the vents. My AC works great thanks to the other shop, who looked at your diagnosis and said you were ripping me off! They also told me that you didn't even change the oil as you were supposed to, but you charged me for that!! Stop trying to justify the fact that your diagnosis was wrong and you tried to RIP me off! It is what it is. I just hope my posts help others, to prevent them from having similar issues with your shop.
