Response to Kelli S.
I am the owner of all tune and lube Gainesville. Kelli has been a customer of mine on several occasions. Recently, she brought in a 1996 Buick Regal. She informed me that this was going to be her new primary mode of transportation. She requested and oil change service which includes a "visual" inspection of various components. She also requested we conduct and Air conditioning check. Both items were conducted. We came to the conclusion that a Schrader valve was leaking on the hose. "You can replace the valve without replacing the whole hose and she was quoted a price. She declined the work. This repair would have also called for an evacuation and full recharge of the system. At the time of this check, all other components worked other than her vent functions. She was also quoted a price for that repair which she declined.
She now is upset about her alternator. The vehicle drove in here, and drove out. A visual inspection can not detect a bad alternator. We could have conducted a charging system check, but this was never complained about by the customer. These are specific tests which carry a fee. This vehicle is going on18 years old and has been poorly maintained and sat for quite some time. I am confident that we performed the services requested at a fair price. The vehicle in question also needs a full tune up, wires, PCV Valve, fuel filter and other work too numerous to mention. Liar, dishonest, Hardly! I stand by the repair order and the diagnosis. Any reasonable person who reads her post will be confused. This should clear the air.
