Bogden and Sons Tires & Alignment - Hood reinstalled wrong

TAKE PICTURES, BE SURE TO GET A WRITTEN ESTIMATE and a COPY OF THE SERVICE AGREEMENT! I've been…read morebringing my 2013 Fiat Abarth 500c Turbo to this shop for years. There has been minor issues like ordering wrong oil. Waiting hours for a scheduled appointment for an oil change. Learned me lesson and started bringing my own to save myself the time and money. Any time my car needed to be lifted, the rocker molding clips were busted (driver side). So I learned to fix them on my own. When I asked them to fix the AC, we all knew it wasn't going to be easy but they agreed to try. Originally they had ordered the wrong expansion valve on the first repair attempt. July in FL was super hot so I lowered my insurance coverage, parked and covered her until I got the repair money together. Once I had the money I called GEICO and increased my insurance coverage. Called Bodgen and he agreed to try again. This time, I ordered the parts (evap core, dryer & exp valve). Prior to drop off I took detailed pictures of the interior and exterior. Upon drop off I did provide my new phone # and the parts. Signed the agreement but did not get a copy and did not have an estimate. It took a couple of days for the work. No surprise, it's a small car, I expected it. I did have to call to see if she was done. At this time all I was told was yes she's fixed and ready. When I arrived I immediately saw the rocker molding seal busted (now the passenger side). We saw the liner beneath the glove box that was torn and thrown in the backseat along with a metal retainer clip (hidden between the backseats). I pushed for these to be addressed and was pushed off on to the mechanic. He loosely rehung the ripped liner, told me to caulk the molding and he ran back in to the garage bay. I thought it was strange that he could not get away from us faster. Went inside to pay. That is when I was told there is now something malfunctioning with my Airbag System. They "tried" to find the problem then told me "take it to the dealership" Worried that I now have safety issues, I was advised "don't get into any accidents". Shocked was an understatement. It was said that the car was taken apart to get to the system. Out of curiosity, I asked if they took pictures and was told "no and that I didn't want to see that". I then paid because I desperately needed my car back. As we drove away we immediately heard the airbag warning signal and saw the light. Then we saw the pry makes made to my steering wheel airbag and radio. The list of damage quickly grew and after paying out THOUSANDS for the repair, these new repairs I was not willing to pay for. I called GEICO and made a claim. Since I had taken the car off the road and put it back on within 30 days and now claiming there is damage, I WAS INVESTIGATED by GEICO. I submitted my detailed pictures with unaltered metadata and dashcam footage. I also had to provide a sworn recorded statement. This process took weeks and I was told not to drive the car with faulty airbag(s). CAR LESS. GEICO had contacted Bodgen 3 times during their investigation to get a copy of the service agreement. Bogden did not comply and denied causing the damage. Delaying the ability for me to get the damages they caused, fixed. Thankfully my picture evidence was sufficient and I was cleared of any wrong doing/fraud. The claim went under Collision/Vandalism and I was going to have to pay a $250 deductible. Next was getting the damage estimate. We were warned right away by the adjuster, they might have to total my car out because of her lowered valve & difficulty to find parts. Seriously!? After all this I might loose the car completely!? Same day, I drove the car to a shop in St Augustine to see if they could fix the Airbag System so I could drive it safely. That shop owner said "I don't want to get involved". (Ok bro code). His mechanic was not happy to relay that message to us so he walked over and took a look at my car. He immediately saw the huge bolt to hold the drivers door was not tightened down at all. It pulled right out! He saw the pry marks to the interior and became angry that any mechanic would be so careless with someone's vehicle. He tightened the door bolt and inspected the other door for us. He then provided me his personal info in case I needed a professional witness to the neglect & vandalism. The collision repair shop did their own inspection and saw the hood was not reinstalled correctly. MAJOR NEGLECT. THIS NIGHTMARE BEGAN IN SEPT 2025. Needed a rental car, twice. Another $250 (ins deductible) and Geico's $2300 to get the damage fixed. IT IS NOT EVEN OVER YET! GEICO will try to recover the money put out to fix all the damage. Sadly this is the only damage that can be seen. Hard to say how long Bogden's AC repair will hold up. Now I also have LOSS of VALUE (it's a reported claim). Will my insurance go up to because of this!! TOTAL NIGHTMARE! SAVE YOURSELF. GO SOME WHERE ELSE.

All four tires replaced mounted and balance took about 45 minutes. I will definitely be coming back for other services like oil changes. The price wasn't bad either.
