Hm, I understand a seafood menu with lobster "at market price", but a beer menu with no prices, why? "Too difficult, because the selection of beers changes so often" was the answer from the friendly waitress. So I took out some paper and a pencil (!) and queried her about the price of three beers that interested me, noting down each before ordering. When the bill came the price was higher than what she had quoted me. Confronted with my handwritten notes to the contrary, the head-waitress said that my waitress had simply misspoke, but I was still expected to pay the 'correct' price because that is what was in their digital cash register's system. OMG, why not just put the dang beer prices ON THE DIGITAL BEER MENU to avoid confusion like this! The digital cash register seems to have no problem with "the selection of beers changing so often", why is it impossible to get this same price info on the digital beer menu? Why make life harder for both the wait-staff and the customers? Why create this risk of misunderstanding? Even when I took written notes (and really, who goes thru that effort?), there was STILL a mix-up on the price. Ultimately the waitresses agreed to simply go back and switch the beer on my bill to one with the same price as she had quoted me (although not the one I drank), so all good. But why, WHY? If cleanliness and pride by the owner and staff in a restaurant are important to you then you might want to consider another Mexican restaurant !
