I worked for them for two and a half months. Had completely unrealistic sales goals and wanted us to push things people absolutely didn't need. Don't trust Cody if he shows up to your house, the guy can sell water to a fish. He's a nice guy, but dont trust him. It's a chimney. You probably have central air unless your house is that frigging old. Unless you can verify that your chimney is so damaged that it not getting repaired could cause damage to your home regardless of you using it, these guys are snake oil salesmen. They want you to drop tens of thousands of dollars on repairs for something that stopped being useful in the 1970s and later. Plus, the owner, Chad? He doesn't give a damn about his employees and will routinely call them up to berate and swear at them because he "feels like you aren't taking my sales advice seriously". The reality is, he started a niche business, handed it off to his buddy, Jon, who's a decent guy and now thinks he's the next Jeff Bezos living down in Southlake in his Mcmansion. BFD, bro. You don't understand that acronym, ask your daughter you hired to incompetently run your social media to explain it. Basically, I hope your business did go under Chad. I called for a chimney inspection and sweep. They did arrive on time and the gentleman was friendly and respectful of property. He did a visual of the roof and chimney cap then came inside to do the inspection. He did not complete the visual camera inspection stating it was too dirty to continue. He then told me that the flue was to dirty to sweep that it had to be cleaned using a chemical treatment and quoted me $1500. The fireplace (prefab unit) and flue is 2 years old and used on and off for to winters. We didn't use the fireplace a lot, just to support the electric heat during really cold day we were home. Then charged me $250 for the partial inspection and no cleaning.... As soon as he left I called 2 other local chimney sweep companies and they both said, in no uncertain terms, that there was no way that chemical cleaning was necessary and both gave me a quote for a COMPLETE inspection and ACTUAL chimney sweeping for less than $200. Do NOT call these people for anything!! I cannot believe they actually charged me $250 for a PARTIAL inspection and no cleaning! Insane! read more

I see that not every reviewer is pleased with Master Services, but we had a positive experience when we used them to install an animal screen and weather cap on our chimney. We did have some other damage that I was given the option of fixing or not -- then, now or never. My questions were answered without any of the "you'll be sorry if you don't" sales tactics I have sometimes experienced from other vendors. We don't make a habit of using the fireplace, but I would use Master Services again if their services were needed. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT hire this company! Every year about this time I remember when they royally screwed me out of some money for an 'inspection' which was never completed. In my 35+ years hiring people to do work for me or my home this place sticks out as the one time I was scammed! Still very bitter; hire at your own risk!
