New to the area, and required a nail fill so went to Masters Nail Spa. I entered establishment to ask for a fill and was ignored when I walked in . I stood there for approx 2-3 minutes and nobody spoke up or even greeted me to ask what I required. After 5 minutes an employee looked up and asked "what I needed" she then started speaking her own language with other employees for at least another five minutes that's when I walked out. This is establishment is open on Sundays till 5 PM. I went in at 3:45 and all this transpired and I think it's really cause they just wanted to leave early for the day . Husband made appts for my daughter and I to surprise me for my birthday. We showed up and they weren't ready. They were all 3 working on other guests. What?!! Only 2 stars?!! Had experience #2 here today and again, it was excellent. First time was a manicure only and that lasted almost 4 weeks. I do natural nails with clear polish and the gentleman who did it, did a fine job. No, he wasn't talkative but that didn't equal rude in my book. I go here to relax and I don't need shallow conversation to make me feel satisfied. Today, a gal did my mani and pedi and she was cordial, making a little bit of small talk, but more importantly, she did a great job on both my hands and feet. Her attention to detail was good. Nail shapes were fine. Didn't overclip cuticles. My friend gets gels and she loves this place after trying other shops in the area. Give this place a chance. I started walking up with my son in the stroller to the door the man looked at me and I asked if they were open and she said what do you need and I said gel polish. He opened the door and I asked for a specific brand and he said no and I showed him my nails and said do you have anything close to this color and right away said no. Didn't even think of similar colors they have! I got annoyed and said you know what I'll go somewhere better that likes their potential customers and walked out! I will never ever go here again! COVID precautions at this place are a bare minimum. No sanitizer provided, but you are asked to wash your hands when you arrive. I didn't see any of the seats sanitized after each use. As far as the pedicure I received, the prices are a bit more expensive than other places. For the #1 spa pedicure, the hot stone was barely warm, the gentleman didn't clip the dead skin around my nails, and the filing was done worse than my 5 year old would do. My normal place was busy so I gave this place a try, but I'll be sticking to my regular and hope you do the same. If you don't have a regular spot, trust me, this is not the place. Wish I had read the Yelp reviews before heading to Sassy Nails for a dip manicure. I did have to soak off my previous manicure, so I knew that would take a while. They sat me right down and then it took another 10 minutes before she started soaking my nails off. I had specifically asked how long the wait was going to be. I felt like I was left soaking for an unreasonable amount of time so I started cleaning the acrylic off myself with a paper towel that was left. I picked out my color, a transparent light pink color. When all was finished, my nails are not transparent, they're opaque. I assume it's because they used the wrong base for the color I wanted. Upsetting to pay so much for something and want to immediately take it off. Not to mention how awful my nails look. They're shaped well at the tips but will look bubbly as soon as they grow away from the cuticle. I'm used to the polish being thinned out on the bottom of my nails. I do not recommend this nail salon and will never go back. read more

I watched a person go from a pedicure to a manicure to a smoke break to another manicure without changing his gloves once. It was so disgusting! No one wants their nails worked on after you have been scraping things off of someone else's feet! When I handed the guy the color of polish I wanted, he said to pick a gel color. I told him I didn't want gel because I've gotten it there before and it has always peeled very quickly. He then proceeded to ask me six more times if I wanted gel. I get that they want to upsell, but when a customer says no, don't continue to ask repeatedly. After he'd painted my nails he accidentally smudged four of them and got really irritated. Frustrated, he said, "This is why gel is better!" I'm sorry but I am not going to pay more for something that always peels off for me after a day or two. If they don't want to work with polish, they shouldn't offer it as an option. Even without the gel issue, the unsanitary things I witnessed are more than enough reason for me to never return. read more

I decided to give this place another try, unfortunately. I had an appt at Jabooda Nails but was pressed for time, so I came to Masters Nail Spa again. Wrong move. Background: masters nail spa used to be Sassy Nails and Sandy was the manager. She moved after Covid hit and it changed hands. She was amazing and so was her staff... highly skilled. However the new people are not as good. I went in for a fill and gel manicure. I kept asking the female nail tech if she had done the acrylic portion, because the third finger of my left hand was so much shorter than the others. I had broken that nail and mistakenly thought she would fill it and shape it to match all the other fingers, as all salons usually do. Nope.. she left it short and it looks strange now. Wtf? Then I asked her to trim my cuticles. These people act like you asked them to grow another head out of their ass. I specifically asked her NOT to trim them dry.. otherwise the risk of cutting the skin increases. She proceeded tp trim them dry. I had to ask her to soak them in some water. She then filled up a small baggie of cold water and put my hands in there. What the hell kind of crap is that? I did not leave a tip. I mean WE are paying the salon for a service, so I don't think I'm asking too much. Do not waste your time with this salon. read more

I had gotten my acrylics somewhere else and needed them removed. They took forever to start my nails. When someone was available and walking around. The guy that did my nails did not wear gloves and he was digging his nail into the side of each finger. it hurt so bad and he over used the drill. my nails got hot and thin . The way he cleaned his station before he started my nails was by using his file (that he used on me and the lady before) to wipe off his desk, absolutely no sanitation, he also cut me with the drill and tried to pretend like it didn't. the owner would aggressively talk to his employees and smoke a cig every 30 mins took two hours to just get my nails taken off and have my natural nails painted. I have been going here for a while now, the last 2 times i went, got the same lady and both times she ushed the file across by toes where the skin got rubbed off and when she was clipping under the toe nails, she was literally pulling the skin to where it hurt. Today I came in to get a gel fill and an eyebrow and lip wax. The man who did my nails did an excellent job. I however had to get another set and when he took the nails off I thought he would soak the nails to get them off but he ripped them off with a tool. Also when he filed my new set was pretty painful but all in all when he finished the nails they were beautiful. Also the new lady who works there who does the eyebrow waxing is amazing. I've been to Sassy Nails a few times and they've always done mediocre at best, but this time will be my last. The color I've picked for my nails on several occasions doesn't match what they have on display. The guy doing my toes cut me with the cuticle clippers and then the next guy that took over was really rough. My nails are rigid from where he didn't take his time filing them down and they weren't cut evenly. There is paint all over the skin of my toes and the paint is sloppy on my nails. I could've done a better job myself and i'm extremely disappointed they charge people for the lack luster service. I know I don't have the prettiest feet but I'll be damned if they didn't find a way to make them uglier. I was going to get my nails filled in too, but decided I best go elsewhere. I'm angry because I bought a $50 gift certificate for my daughter and did not realize that it expired 6 months after purchase. They did not mention it when I bought it and I did not notice the tiny print on the bottom that says this. If it had been mentioned when purchasing I never would have bought it because my daughter is the worst for using gift cards in a timely fashion. I have been thinking about writing this review for weeks and I know I have to give this place only one star. I was placed in a chair to get acrylic nails and I just sat there with no one talking to me or even looking at me for 20 minutes. The guy who did my nails was doing two other peoples at the same time and was absolutely rushing through the job. It was $30 for a whole set and the French tips went half way down my natural nail. I asked for extremely short and he refused to do them shorter. I thought that could be an integrity of the acrylic thing but I cut them shorter at home and they were fine. There were really strange bubbles in the clear acrylic so I ended up having to paint over them. There were corners that were not covered on everyone of my nails. Not worth $30. The whole place smelled terrible and all of the other customers looked just as lost and confused as I was. Will not be returning. read more

The service here is so inconsistent. Sometimes it takes less than 30-minutes to get a gel manicure. Other times it's well over an hour. Some of the nail techs are ok. Most of them have no skills. Twice now I've gotten a sore finger nail / hang nail after a manicure. Thought it was a coincidence but now I've realized it's an infection. This place is dirty! Don't go! read more

In a pinch this place is ok but only in a pinch. They did get me in quickly but the quality of the mani AND pedi were shoddy at best. My polish on my feet is spotty, as I have heavy polish on some toes and thin on others as well as polish on my skin! The gal who did my mani was also trying to do the gals next to me at the same time so she was rushed. She did a decent job at cleaning up my cuticles but I had to ask her twice to file my nails better and after the 2nd failed attempt at her doing them I quit asking. This place is HORRIBLE! Do not waste your time and money for something that looks like my child did. I asked for coffin cut and she did pointy. I asked for ombre and she said yes yes but they turned out blotchy and not blended at all also they were so thick like balls almost. My friend said they looked bad that I needed to say something she just said give it time you will like.. I said no can you fix them .. She was rude about it and said I had to pick a dark color to paint over it . So now they are blotchy bright underneath and chipping already. Plus one broke off after day 2.. I called the owner she said they do not refund and that she did what I asked.. She was so rude yelling me they will not fix them and that I left happy . I was far from happy but I was polite and didn't want to hurt her feelings. Now I'm pissed! read more
