I usually get my mani & pedi at the same time but my favorite pedicurist is on vacay! The quality…read moreof my nails is always SUPERB and no chipping or breaking. Jana suggested a long time ago to get gel instead of regular polish and the techs do let you know when something you chose hasn't had good results. I appreciate them for doing so, but also maybe throw it away? lol They used to have a hard time saying "no" but as a regular I can scan the room and tell wether or not I'd be squeezed in. This place is really appointment only unless they're having a slow day. FYI: If you're a walk in and the say they have time but you see 5 people waiting and 3 techs, you should go about your day. With any salon, ALWAYS ASK PRICE BEFORE WORK IS COMPLETE and stop being afraid to say you don't like something.

This is my fourth time having my nails done here. I requested a Mani/Pedi and came in about 10 mins…read moreearly. I was sat promptly. I had to re-iterate four times that I only wanted clear gel, nothing more. The Pedicure itself was wonderful, even if they gave me an upservice I didn't ask or want. The older gentleman who was my tech then tried to get me out, and was very upset that I asked for the Mani part of the Mani/Pedi appointment. I provided him with nail color and a visual of what I wanted (Nude matte nail in a softer rounded almond shape). For reference, I had medium length natural nails. He then cut me square and to the quick in the fastest way possible. The polish was a decent match, but streaky and lumpy and wasn't cured properly. I was left with jagged edges along the nail , and bits of polish everywhere. The matte finish wasn't placed properly with chunks of shine everywhere. In the end, it looked nothing like what I requested. Then, I was charged for a full price Manicure but only provided with a gel polish change. Overall I spent $107 for a partially completed Manicure and a decent pedicure. I will not be going back. If I could, I would have refused payment or asked for a partial refund. The work was shoddy, rushed and I had to keep telling the tech multiple times what I wanted, even after providing a very good visual.

This review is for Hi Tek Nails in Burlington, Washington by the old Kmart…read more I am sad to write this review because I know everyone depends on customers for their livelihoods, but I have had two bad pedicures and one bad manicure from this salon. The first pedicure was months ago. I called them later that night because I was speechless. It was a new technician so I went in the next day to show them and so they could remove the polish. It took 6 months to grow out. They didn't offer me a refund. This last time was on Wednesday 9/25/24. I went in for a pedicure. Different technician as 6 months ago. She did okay last time she did my toes. But this time again, the polish was too thick and even after it dried while I had a manicure, it still smudged. Plus, their fancy chairs no longer work properly. The manicure was a joke. I told her to do my cuticles very lightly. The scab in my left middle finger still hasn't healed. She also cut my left pointer finger too short at the top when she was trimming the sides. The polish (I paid extra for a french manicure) didn't last through the night. I realize fingernail polish doesn't last as long as toenail polish without gel/acrylic. But I only needed it for a meeting the next day at 1 p.m. It didn't even last that long. I was heading back to Burlington to have them fix it, and then stopped in the salon in town to see if they did nails. They did so they fixed them for me. An extra $10. I think these people need to take a break from their business. They seem tired and that does not work well with a significant communication barrier. I wish them well. I won't be going back.
