What I didn't like was when she was done using the tools for my pedicure she put them in my dirty foot water to clean (I am not sure if she took them to clean further but it made me wonder how the tools we're disinfected. As I walked up to the counter to pay I had to walk around the clipped toenails from other customers. I had had my nails done two or three weeks before at a salon in my hometown. --They were disgusting. (They had been disgusting since the day I got them. They had stayed on well but color was hideous, and I didn't feel like they had been applied very well. When I entered MV Nails, there was only one employee that I could see. I asked him if he could give me a fill. He confirmed what I wanted asked me to wash my hands and had me sit down. When I went back to wash my hands, I saw that the salon had a sort of hidden nook with 6 to 8 pedicure stations and there were several women working back there giving pedicures while the man sat closer to the front. I also went into the bathroom and noticed that it was very tastefully decorated and thought to myself that the salon was actually quite nice for one where you could walk in and get your nails done. When he started doing my nails, I apologized to the man for how disgusting they were, and he responded with a little chuckle and said, "It's OK." He then went on to take a great deal of care in making my nails look beautiful. He confirmed what kind of shape I wanted, he did each fill as if it was a work of art. --As to say that he wasn't going to let there be any acrylic hanging outside my nail on my cuticles, or chunks of it under the nail. He really did make each nail look beautiful. --Before he even got to polishing them, I told him I was so grateful because my nails already looked so much better. During I was having my nails done, two women came in. One said" pedicures please." --Without really asking if they even had availability. He responded that they were kind of busy and she said OK and left. I thought this exchange was a little strange because the woman didn't ask if she could come back at a later time and he didn't offer a later time. However, what I appreciated about it was that he didn't invite them in to get their nails done, knowing that his employees would have to shuffle around and pay less attention to each person if they had two more customers to help. Later, when he received a phone call request, requesting an appointment, I did note that he informed the caller that the time she requested was a busy time, but that she could come in a little later. So, I assume that if the ladies had asked they would've been more than willing to accommodate them. I was able to go visit my friend in Seattle with nails that didn't look like I had glued some cheap press on nails halfway up my nail bed. I was insanely grateful for the time and effort. This man had put into doing my nails and really appreciated the cleanliness and style of the salon. I will go back here again if I am ever in the area and in need of any nail services.

The owner is super kind, communicative and attentive to my needs and questions. I always used to do acrylic nails by other nail techs and my natural nails became damaged so I wanted to start growing my natural nails so this was actually my first time ever getting a regular gel manicure! Lina was able to see me early the next morning so I jumped at the appointment. Lina is quiet and direct, some might find her brusque. But she really isn't, she knows her craft and has the tools and knowledge to prove it. She worked on my calluses before soaking my feet, explaining the soaking caused the skin to open up and be more delicate/painful as she carefully "sanded" down the dry skin. She had special power tools for the various bumps which were far less painful than the pumice stone treatment most spas use. I have never had calluses retreat so quickly. She also pointed out other health issues my feet were experiencing and what I should be doing to make them feel better. Her shop is small with 2 chairs and is blissfully quiet, unlike many large noisy Nail Salons. If you want a real Health Spa experience for your next Mani/Pedi I suggest you seek out Lina's Nails.

(Admittedly, they speak English far better than I speak any other language, so certainly no judgment there.) They were happy to communicate via hand signals and facial expressions and they made us feel at ease. The place wasn't overwhelmingly busy but each employee did have a customer at all times. When my toes were done and I paid, I found that I couldn't tip without cash. I didn't have a debit card, so I had to drive to a store to get cash back. My daughter told me that, while I was away, the pedicurist said we didn't have to tip. (I only include that information because it shows how sweet they were.) I absolutely did have to tip. I know they get paid but that's for the job itself. I wanted them to feel appreciated for the special touches they put on my daughter's toes, for their pleasantness, and their color suggestions. The experience was a good one.

We spent 5 hours there with three people there get their toes and nails done one ended up…read moresaying that she just wasn't gonna get her nails done because there was no time at this point after I had already been five hours my toenail polish and another girl is already coming off they did gel nails without even asking which one we wanted then when we asked how long they would last they said same amount of time as acrylic but popped off two days later and the acrylic nails that another girl got came off after four days we got charged $400. drinks were flat.we were ignored for over 2 hours and watched people come in wait for an hour them just have to leave. here is my nails after they popped off BRUISED and destroyed.
