I got an early Christmas gift from my neighbor when his water heater tank burst and a bunch of water leaked into my condo unit. It was definitely a stressful situation, but Lee was very helpful and responsive to my questions and requests. Although Lee did not perform the job himself, Ivan and his team came out to repair the drywall and replace the carpet. Ivan was really great - he was courteous and efficient throughout the whole project, which took about 1.5 days to complete. Some highlights were: 1) The crew was able to start working almost immediately after I called Master's Construction. 2) Ivan worked very hard to find the closest match to my existing carpet. It sounded like he was checking out quite a few places until he found someone all the way in Richmond that had our carpet! (FYI, I live in Falls Church.) 3) Ivan ended up re-painting all the walls of my bedroom to ensure that the paint color was consistent throughout. I used Masters Construction for drywall repair work and found them to be responsive and reasonable in cost. When I first contacted this company, I did not leave a message but he called me back to see what work we needed. I had found him on Google reviews and his web site listed his client references (of which there were many). Contractor reputations are important and what I like about this company is that the Owner of the company (Lee Faust) was the one that came out to do the work. Knowing that the Owner is doing the work is important as I have found that the quality of work is usually better when this is the case. I also liked that he said that he would be at my house at a specified time and was sitting in my drive way when I pulled up to let him in. We spent a little time talking about the repair and he explained exactly what he was going to do and I found that the work done was professional and for the price we agreed upon. He cleaned up his work after wards and I am open to recommending him to other Yelpers for his services for drywall repair. We discussed how he received his jobs and it was primarily on an on line referral basis (Google). When asked if he was on Yelp, he indicated that he was not (What! I found Kurt Ozbey and Masters Construction on Yelp. We had various issues with our drywall and water infiltrating our walls and damaging our drywall. I found Kurt and his team to be on time, on budget and efficient. Once we found the source of the water in the kitchen they were even able to repair the copper water line. We were so happy we had them back to re route wires, down spouts and cables so we can have an awning installed in our back patio. Top notch all the way!! Lee Faust and his team repaired a bed room ceiling that had been damaged by leakage from an air conditioning unit that had been badly installed by another company. In a nutshell, my experience with Master's and owner Lee Faust went like this: Called him on a Thursday or Friday, he came to prepare an estimate on Saturday. I had an estimate by Monday an the work was completed Thursday afternoon. Lee did the work himself and was meticulous in ensuring that all drywall repairs were seamslessly done. He prepared the work area to minimize dust and mess, but remember folks, it's drywall--dust will remain. After a pipe burst and the plumber came to fix it by tearing through some walls, I needed to hire a good plaster contractor. To add insult to injury, the plumber had caused a leak that created a large spot in the ceiling that needed fixing as well. Kurt and his crew did not disappoint. They were on time, professional, and very good about covering floors and other areas with plastic so any dust wouldn't spread. I highly recommend him and would use him in the future. read more

I just moved back to the area and needed help with multiple items in my house.  One of which was a wine rack with a Bizillion little pieces that Kurts guys patiently put together piece by piece then hung. It's perfect!!! They even hung a super heavy, custom-made pine stemware rack! Everyone of Masters crew were patient, helpful and very skilled. He was very responsive in the initial phone call, in coming out to examine the problem, and in follow-up emails. He was able to make the initial and follow-up appointments during times I requested. This repair took place over two days, and Lee did a great job with the work and in explaining the steps that needed to be taken. The reviews were all very positive and the customers allowed pictures of the progress of their renovations.The head of the company, Lee Faust, was easy to get in touch with and also very pleasant to deal with. He did a very professional job with plastering, painting, and especially tiling and did numerous other projects in our condo involving plumbing, electrical work and designing. Lee also did our entire reno without us on site. He was responsible and trustworthy and tackled whatever problems arose.
