Full disclosure I am a Tenant in a property this company was contracted to work on. Let's start with zero of the employees spoke conversational English. You would ask a simple question and get looked blankly. The work area safety was a disaster. Pictures will be included. They showed up at 7:15-7:25 AM. Upon arrival they needed to get inside for what I haven't a clue. Fairfax county has a noise ordinance stating work can't start until 8AM. If your so unlucky you will deal with Carl. Carl is the most cocky character. He doesn't know code. He claims he does. He claims he inspected the area to bring it up to code but missed a massive code violation. Fairfax County missed it as well but I already knew they were useless. So if you want to hire a company and roll the dice that you pass final inspection this is your company. If you want your property taken and then a cocky response that he's in 200 homes a year this is your company. They took a tarp that wasn't theirs and probably a watch. The tarp was returned but according to Carl they don't take anything. I can't speak for the value. The job was done on time but with annoyances. The kicker is he allegedly wanted to charge trip fees. We hired Mark's company to update/repair our small master bath. Mark, along with his team (Diego and crew) did an exceptional job. They made suggestions, added updates which I had not considered, and completed a quality product. Diego is so polite and creative and keeps his crew working. They discovered and corrected problems of which I was not aware. In another area of the house, the crew did other jobs such as securing floor boards, putting in new carpet and painting, installing light fixtures, installed a new vent fan where there had never been one. We had a roof replacement on our townhouse. Decided on this high ranking local company. They did a temporary repair to the areas where we experienced leaks. They delivered the materials promptly and safely. On the day of the roof replacement, they prepped the front and back of our home, covered our deck and during clean-up time, took extra care to both of our neighbor's decks and yards! We love our wall! Mark was great to work with, adjusting plans (and estimate) to make sure we were getting what we needed. The guys finished our project quickly, with lots of attention to detail. The wall they built looks like it has always been there! They even took the time to fix a part of a cupboard in the kitchen that had come loose, something unrelated to the project they had been hired for. I requested an estimate for some roof repairs recommended by a home inspector. An employee named Mike responded quickly (by phone and email on Apr. 5, 2021), and we scheduled an onsite estimate for the next day. I happened to be disposed when he arrived 10 minutes early, so my wife, who is Indian American, let him know that I'd be down momentarily. But instead of waiting a minute or two, he told my wife the roof needed to be replaced (without inspecting it), he would only speak with me, and he would send me a follow-up email. I came down just in time to watch him get into the truck and drive away with his buddy. I would guess he was on the property no more than three minutes and it was still prior to our scheduled meeting time of 11:00 AM! I'd have been glad to listen if there was some sort of problem or to accommodate some sort of emergency, but I didn't get the chance. I don't want to assign a motive for his behavior. All I can say is that it was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with someone trying to earn my business. (A week later and I have yet to see his email.) read more

They had installed a ceiling fan prior to me closing on my townhouse. I found out that it was not working and looked at the receipt they provided the previous homeowner and it said "if it's not working, it could be electrical". I thought that was odd, like they didn't check to see if it was working before they left. I had an electrician check and there was nothing wrong with the electric going to the fan, but he discovered that the fan was damaged when it was installed, making it inoperable (it apparently never worked because it was dented so badly when they installed it). It took several emails/texts for them to finally have someone come and replace the fan. The people that arrived, were nice enough, but were a bit young. The "leader" of the team that showed up was ok, but tried to avoid checking the fan to make sure it worked before he left. I insisted that they check it and since he didn't have a ladder (which i think was odd), he had to hoist himself up into my attic with his arms. He got shoe prints all over my wall since he had to use my wall to assist him getting. up. Wouldn't you know it, but the fan wasn't working. He finally figured out what the problem was and it works fine now. I'm giving 3 stars because I had to keep following up to actually get them to schedule to get the work done and they just weren't as professional and knowledgeable as I would've liked. In the end, they did replace the fan and it is working now, but I wouldn't use this company in the future. read more

Mark and his skilled, hard-working crew came through for us again! We have called on him more times than I can count over the years, for big jobs and small. By the time we sold our Arlington house in 2013 he had almost completely remodeled it after several projects over the time we lived there. When we downsized into our first condo we called on Mark to upgrade it to meet our needs. So it was a no-brainer to call on him again to upgrade a second condo we purchased last month. With little more than a week to complete the upgrades we wanted, Mark brought in his whole crew and somehow finished the day before our move. Upgrades included painting, new lights where there were none such as pendant lights for the kitchen, new toilets and other plumbing improvements, ceiling fans, cabinets, new mirrors and relocated TV cable outlets. I don't usually write reviews however after my recent experience, I thought it was appropriate. I could start with all the buzz words however I was far more impressed therefore using empty exaggerated phrases does not do justice. My experience with Mark Meredith, LLC was genuinely one I will never forget. From the time of initial contact through the completion of the work. I wanted the front of my townhouse redone, to include: replacing wood, framing, both the storm and entry doors, shutters and then painting in two different colors. I actually could have done the work myself with some help from friends however did not have the time. Mark came to give a quote. When I asked questions based on his professional experience, I was impressed with not only his knowledge, but also the fact that he did not try to hard sell anything additional. Instead, he explained things so I could envision the end result from different perspectives. We negotiated a price and scheduled a start date in the following month. During the period between the time the contract was signed and the day the work was to start, Mark would call to let me know we were still on schedule. He and his team showed up on the exact date. They were professional, at the same time very personable. All were knowledgeable and took the time to explain what they were doing whenever I asked. The team finished the work on the day Mark had projected. I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship. In addition, Mark and his team actually did extra work that was not part of the contract at no additional cost. For example, extending the front doorway so the storm door I wanted could be installed. In closing, I'd like to recommend Mark Meredith, LLC for any full-service general contracting work you may want. If nothing else, at least lend he and his team the opportunity to give you a quote.
