Arcenio arrived swiftly, put a ladder directly on the front of my house, inspected the roof, and proposed that the old dutch gutters could easily be replaced. They cut the rafter tails, added gutters, and completed the project in 3 days. Plywood was also added on top of the decking, which should add some structural stability. Overall I had a great experience with Leon Brothers and am looking forward to seeing how the new roof handles what could be a very wet El Niño winter.

I chose them for 2 major reasons. 1) they were going to deal with the scheduling of the removal and réinstallation of our solar panels. And 2) Shahar was so kind, informative, and honest during our consultation. He was through and kept us updated every step of the way. When our project finally started the crew were so respectful and kind! We found way more damage than we expected which resulted in our quote going up. However, due to Shahar being honest at the consultation we knew this was a possibility so it wasn't super shocking. The crew was great at cleaning up at the end of every day, which we appreciate as we have chickens, ducks, a puppy and cat as well as a child who are outside. When the project was done, there were a few concerns we had, we talk to Shahar and he quickly corrected and had the crew fix the items. When Israel came by it felt different. He was a very easy going guy, didn't feel like he was selling me on anything and it was just an easy conversation, then he checked out the roof. The workers did their thing, were all good guys doing what they do. No issues. The roof was in pretty bad shape as well, needed some repair as it was very old and Israel and his team just went with the flow. It's a little nuts seeing your roof completely gone after a day or so, then see it get built up to a completely new clean roof is pretty amazing. Israel and his team also put in venting. fixed up ALL the flashing, cleaned up all the existing vent pipes, installed a fan as well. It all went so well, easy and the roof looks great. This was by far the easiest experience I have ever had with a contractor and/or their team. They cleaned up very well and in 4 days or so poof they were gone, almost like they were never there, except for the beautiful new roof. My neighbor also had an issue with her roof and I asked Israel about it and he said give her my number. He fixed her problem in no time, on the fly, and she was very happy about that, especially with the possibility of big storms this winter, she was quite nervous. I believe this is part of the responsibility of home owners for successful home projects.) Before that, I had a leak in my garage that was patched up. I knew it was only a matter of time before I needed a new roof and with the weather we've been experiencing, I didn't want to risk putting it off any longer. Before choosing Roofing Solutions, I had received five other estimates. Some were higher, and others were lower. The process was generally the same: estimators would walk around the house, measure the roof, and then return with a quote. However, the quality of the proposals varied significantly. Some looked like basic word-processed documents that didn't appear very professional, while others focused heavily on manufacturer information, shingles, and warranties, with very little detail about the actual scope of work. A few companies even repeatedly called and left voicemails, which made me feel like they were trying a little too hard to get my business. This is where Roofing Solutions stood out, and ultimately, why I chose them. Roofing Solutions had previously completed a roofing job next door to my in-laws' house. When I asked who had done the work, the owner told me it was Roofing Solutions and referred me to Ivan. I gave Ivan a call, and he came out a few days later to provide an estimate. After walking around the house, I explained to Ivan that I had some dry rot that needed to be replaced, wanted new gutters, and was interested in Presidential shingles. Sure, I could have gone with standard shingles, but I really liked the pattern, thickness, and overall appearance of Presidential shingles. My philosophy is that if you're going to do something, do it right the first time. Sometimes, you have to spend a little more upfront to get the results you want. A few days later, Ivan sent over his proposal. It was well organized, easy to read, detailed, and professional. It clearly outlined the process and the work that would be performed. What really impressed me was that he included detailed photos of my roof showing the existing flaws and problem areas. None of the other estimators had provided that level of detail. Ivan was also never pushy, which I appreciated, especially after dealing with some of the other companies. His pricing was also affordable which was in the middle from the quotes that i had recieved. When it came time to sign the contract, we discovered that plywood needed to be installed because my house is older and the roof had wide gaps where the roofing nails could potentially pass through. Ivan worked with me on the additional cost of the plywood and labor, which I appreciated. The entire roof replacement took three days. On day one, the crew removed the old shingles, cleared the debris, installed the plywood, and replaced the dry-rotted areas. These guys were extremely clean and organized. They consistently cleaned up around the perimeter of the house, keeping the front and sides of the property looking great throughout the process. Days two and three involved the city inspector, remaining roofing work, shingle installation, and gutter installation. The crew also went above and beyond the original scope of work by painting my trim in the color I wanted. That extra attention to detail was a great finishing touch. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the work and the entire experience with Roofing Solutions. From Ivan's detailed proposal and straightforward communication to the crew's demo, install of the new roof, cleanliness and willingness to go the extra mile, they made what could have been a stressful project a positive experience.
