I had a bacon, egg and cheese croissant that was so good and fresh it was to die for. We also got a donut with fruity pebbles on top. Literally THE BEST donut I have ever had. Wow. So moist and sweet and flavorful and delicious. Next trip to TN I will drive all the way to Dunlap just for these amazing donuts, no lie. Afterwards we talked to one of the owners and she told me how important it was to them to focus on quality ingredients which I thought was really cool and very evident in the quality of all we got. We learned the couple that owns the shop gets up in the early AM to make all those donuts themselves! You can taste the quality and decidication. What was really cool was the people! We had nice long conversations with the owners who made us Florida people feel so welcome and even helped us get to know the area a little better. Even the local customers in there had such friendly faces and talked with us, it was truly a great way to get a taste of the area. They directed us on our trip, told us about their life and all the fun places to go in TN! God bless you and your business all in the name of Jesus Christ! I asked if the pastries on offer are their typical inventory, and Kevin said they were and that they don't really change it. That's not a complaint as they 1) have a good variety of things on offer and 2) that means they can get really good at the pastries they make. I did ask if they ever sell pies by the slice since I saw they sell cheesecake slices, but they only ever sell whole pies. Again, that's not an issue. The first time I came in, I got one of their filled donuts (the one that's topped with pecans or walnuts and is filled with like a vanilla frosting), which was really good. This time, Kevin let me try their tea cookies (or thumbprint cookies), which I was told is one of their most popular items. It is a good cookie (I think it was a pecan sandie with a sugar frosting), but I ended up getting 3 mini Danishes (1 cherry, 1 apple, and 1 cheese). The Danishes were much better than store bought ones, and if I were to rank them from least to most favorite, it'd be apple, then cheese, and then cherry (though all were really good). In short, the owner, Michael Gilbert, has a great bake shop in Cleveland, TN.

I finally found the food truck hide out. The Chattanooga sunday market has all of the trucks in town I think. I believe that there was 10-12 trucks out here. I knew there were trucks here I just could never found them before last sunday. I did get to try 3-maybe 4 of them. This one was especially cute. It is a small trailer/truck that makes small doughnuts right in front of you. They have a small machine that drops out a bit of dough into some heated grease. Then it flows down the tray and another piece of the machine flips them. There is yet another flipper upper thingy the flips them into a cooling tray.There the worker guy scoops them up in your little bag and pours some cinnamon sugar over your doughnuts and then you eat. Nice fluffy and and light as they were still quick warm. So this is a cute little truck with cute little doughnuts inside a very big market.
