Master Collision fixed some body damage to the back end of my car over the summer. I did not choose Master Collision on my own, a since the other person who backed into me took care of all of the insurance claims to fix the damage to my car. I am not happy that someone backed into my parked car. I am pleased to know that if I ever need an auto collision place in Nassau County, I can count on Master Collision doing a great job and offering a great quote. I would give 0 stars if I could. My full story here: I was DISTRESSED after someone side swiped my brand new car and ran... leaving me responsible with the costs of repair. Being a young female that knows NOTHING about cars, I was overwhelmed by everything going on. I called my insurance to report the accident and was referred to Master Collision. All the 5* reviews made me really think that I would be in good hands... but I couldn't have been more WRONG.  I had an appointment at Master Collision for 10am to have my car repairs estimated - or so I thought. It was then that I was asked to sign a series of papers that authorized this auto shop to also repair my car. I must have misunderstood over the phone because I didn't think I would be getting repairs done right away or that I had to commit to this specific shop. I thought I was just coming to get an estimate and then be free to go where I pleased or even forego the insurance claim if it wasn't too much out of pocket. I told them I didn't want to sign until I knew exactly what I was getting myself into, so I only authorized them to do the estimate and nothing more.  This is where the customer service NOSEDIVED. My father and I waited 30 minutes in the office for their guy (I forgot his name) to inspect the damages on my car. After the initial wait, he tells us that he'll need another 30 min to complete the estimate, he will email me as soon as it's done, and I should go home first. Two hours pass by, and still no email. I've never heard of anyone who waited more than 30 minutes for a car estimate. I decide to call them to verify if the email was coming. I'm instead told that the guy was with another customer at the moment but he will send the email as soon as he's done. Wow. I find that incredibly rude... He couldn't just finish up with me first? I guess since I wasn't ready to put my money on the table right away, they decided I wasn't worth their time. 4 hours later - still no email. I call again. The woman on the phone puts me on hold and then tells me he has already emailed the estimate to my insurance and will email me once he gets the estimate approval. ...Umm okay? I suppose there's no real problem with that, but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Why couldn't you email us both at the same time and just let me know that the estimate awaiting approval? When you promise to email someone, you should really follow through with that first. He didn't even mention at the time he would be emailing the insurance either, he only said he would email ME, which he didn't do at all. I decide to call my insurance at this point because I just want to know what's going on. At 3pm, my adjuster tells me that my claim estimate was approved and went over my options with me on how to proceed. Mind you, still NO email from Master Collision - even after being promised an email that should have been ready ~30 minutes after I left the auto shop (so ~11am?) and again being promised an email after the adjuster approved the claim (which was ~3pm). NO FOLLOW UP WHATSOEVER.  I can understand the logic behind not wanting to help me out because I didn't want to commit to your shop. In the end, you are also running a business so if I don't fork over my money, there's no reason do the extra work. But in that case, just be HONEST with me. If you guys really didn't want to do the car estimate, then you should have just told me to go somewhere else. Instead, I waited ALL DAY for an email that never came when I could have gone to another auto shop that same day.  What's worse is that they gave my insurance an INCREDIBLY LOW estimate considering the damage to my car. After I got the number, I asked everyone I knew and even several auto shops what they thought, and EVERYONE concurred that this is NOT what it cost to fix my car and that they'll probably use the cheapest parts possible if they're doing the repairs for this price. That is NOT what I want for my BRAND NEW CAR!! It feels so awful to be left in the dark like that, especially when you're so unfamiliar with cars, their repairs, insurance claims, etc. This is the first time I've ever had to submit a claim and use my insurance, and I know I'm fumbling my way through as well but this is just NOT right. These guys are supposed to be the professionals here but hardly act like it. I'm deeply disappointed being treated this way, especially after already having this hit and run happen at all. This is my first time ever taking my car to an auto shop and I think it's perfectly fair to be hesitant in deciding who I should trust with touching my baby. This is also my first ever brand new car and I intend to treat it with the utmost care I can. I was really looking forward finding my own auto shop that I could have used for life so I was really hoping to trust this business because of all the positive reviews.... But this place is ABSOLUTELY NOT IT.  I will NEVER come back and I encourage everyone to STAY AWAY. read more

I was in a minor accident with minor damage to the rear of my vehicle. This place was one of the recommended places that my insurance provided. I brought my car for an estimate the last week of April on a Friday. I received an estimate and was told the parts should be in by Monday or Tuesday. I followed up that Wednesday and asked if the parts came in and they told me they will call me back. I received no call and again I called Thursday. And again I received no call back. By Friday they called me and said they received the parts to bring my car Monday, meanwhile I was told the car would have been finished that Saturday for minor paint damage in the back. I brought my car Monday and dropped it off. I asked if they could give me an estimate time possible by the weekend to have it done and they said we will try and get it done. I call that Friday and they had to call me back again. When I received a call back, they told me my car is estimated to be finished in 3 weeks. I ended up picking up my car and going to another location. They finished my vehicle in 3 days compared to this place. Even better when I told them I am coming to get my car, they said the car has been taken apart and I wouldn't be able to take it. I drove past the location and saw the car parked in the lot not taken apart. read more

Master Collision exceeds expectations. I just picked up my repaired Passat' ;someone backed into me and demolished my passenger door. The repair makes the car look new! Steve is great; he ensures you are satisfied with all work and returns all telephone calls promptly. Master Collision is my family's go to body shop- we are repeat customers. Additionally, rental cars are available at the shop. An added plus; I needed tires- Master Collision beat Tire Rack's pricing for the exact tires I wanted. I question the 12/19 review given my a reported customer and can't imagine the service described being Master Collision. Perhaps the reviewer mixed up the shop with another in the immediate area. Master Collision's office is small and the waiting are is right in front of the reception desk (which is always manned). It would not make sense that a rep would not attend to someone sitting in the waiting area. If you want excellent service, make sure you check the address and arrive at Master Collision. This is my go to body shop, I will not bring my car anywhere else. I have had multiple cars repairs here with no issues with rental cars or insurance claims and my cars have been repaired exceptionally and came out looking brand new. I highly recommend this shop for anything you need. read more

Unfortunately, I have used this body shop a few times and always say I hope to not see you guys again, but you know how it goes. The office personnel are all a great group of people, the owner is one of a kind and the guys in the shop do great work. I have dropped off my vehicle and gotten it back when I was supposed to. Master collision does get an A+ but no extra credit. The job they did was perfect, full bumper replacement on a year to date model and did everything I requested when I dropped off the car. I also was accommodated with a rental on the location! SO I AM A FAN and will return but hopefully not. Anyway the only 4/5 reason is that it took 1 week when they said 3 days MAX, TOTALLY INACCURATE ESTIMATE. I had the rental for more than 1 week and did not receive any updates about the delays; I kept on calling checking in and contacting them; they called me to tell me it was ready. Excellent work! My SUV was hit by a sanitation truck a few months ago and I came to Master Collision to get work done on it. They not only did a wonderful job, they were very kind and friendly. As a women, I didn't feel like i was being taken advantage of, which unfortunately is something we have to worry about when dealing with things like this. I intended to write this review the day I received my car back, but I didn't get a chance. I believe it was Billy that I was in contact with the entire time. Great guy! Very professional. He kept me up to date on everything that was going on with my car. They ended up having to keep it a little long than expected because along the way, they found something else wrong with my car. I appreciate that he called me and ask me if I wanted them to work on what was wrong rather than just working on it and finding out I was charged for it later. I didn't feel as if I was being forced to get it done there, or as though I was being swindled. Everyone was very friendly and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Master Collision, and would definitely come back here....though hoping I wont have to anytime soon! read more
