I called Mercedes to see if they do body work and they recommended me to a collision place "they use". After reading their reviews, I knew I was NOT going there. I did a search and found a Touch of Class Collision. I called, and the staff was friendly attentive and caring. The young man who drove me to the rental place was so friendly and professional as well. Yesterday, 4 February, I finally picked up my car. It took a while but that was because the other insurance company took their time to get adjusters etc. When I got there, Gabe came out to greet me, they pulled my Alpine white, 300C up and I was floored. It looked like a brand new car, like it had come out of the showroom. Gabe explained the work they did and that the impact was much more that it showed superficially. The inside was spotless, the trunk, glove compartment everything was just spotless and so clean. This morning my dad went to charge the battery and he said even the engine is spotless and so clean. The body is shiny and brand new looking and they also left a tube of paint just in case:). I highly recommend A Touch of Class Collision. Gabe is super and the staff is amazing. We took off a star because the end cost was more than double the initial estimate. We were initially quoted $700 for the work based on the pictures I sent, and after a phone call when I explained the issues, he said give or take $200 more, but in the end, we had to pay $1,500 (plus a $100 tip). Dino explained that this was because there was some work needed that wasn't visible in the photos I sent. It might still be a good price overall compared to what I'll pay at the body shop, but for other potential buyers, just make sure you send all the photos of the things that need repairing so that you don't get surprised by the end cost.

They literally held my car hostage, wanting over $4,000 for storage fees which broke down to $175 a day! They would not take calls from my insurance company, nor would they return calls. The adjuster was unable to get to see my car. No one was ever available to speak with and, at one point, they actually wanted me to agree to paying them $1,000 AND sign over my title to them! After 25 days of them holding my car hostage, the insurance company told them I had had enough & was going to contact ABC News, News12, and retain an attorney. I also went to the village clerk's office & registered a complaint. That's when they finally released my car. I have advised the Village of Lynbrook of the situation and have asked them to NOT renew their tow license. These guys are despicable, disgusting crooks & I have no idea how they sleep at night. They would never stand for their wife/daughter/mother ever being taken advantage of they way they tried to take advantage of me.

In my 50+ years of owning nice cars, I have always been meticulous about the paint and overall condition of my vehicles. I have unfortunately had to deal with accident repairs and each time I was uncomfortable leaving my pristine vehicle in the hands of a chaotic and dirty shop with employees to match. I worried I would come out with new surface scratches or stains inside the vehicle while concerned the mechanical, panel and paint work would be just like new again. I know this is not an easy business, but their goal is to maximize profit while mine was to restore my vehicle properly and carefully. With only 214 miles on it, I had damage to my brand-new Lexus es 350 Ultra Luxury in Eminent Pearl White driver door. I researched the internet and spoke to friends in the auto insurance business asking them where they would take their car. Mid Island came up every time and they are Lexus OEM Certified ! This certification gave me the final confidence to engage with them. Their shop was 50.1 miles away from my home, but this did not matter as I was seeking the best in the business not the nearby neighborhood body shop.
