I did a search and found a Touch of Class Collision. I called, and the staff was friendly attentive and caring. The young man who drove me to the rental place was so friendly and professional as well. Yesterday, 4 February, I finally picked up my car. It took a while but that was because the other insurance company took their time to get adjusters etc. When I got there, Gabe came out to greet me, they pulled my Alpine white, 300C up and I was floored. It looked like a brand new car, like it had come out of the showroom. Gabe explained the work they did and that the impact was much more that it showed superficially. The inside was spotless, the trunk, glove compartment everything was just spotless and so clean. This morning my dad went to charge the battery and he said even the engine is spotless and so clean. The body is shiny and brand new looking and they also left a tube of paint just in case:). I highly recommend A Touch of Class Collision. Gabe is super and the staff is amazing. I've been a satisfied customer of 5 Star Collision/The Collision Star and/or Merrick Road Collision since approximately 2009. I've brought each of my MASSAPEQUA LEXUS 2010 LS 460; my 2015 BMW X5; my 2016 BMW 750 iL XDrive and now my 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER XLE at least once, if not more times to these great bodyshops. (Please note, all of my cars were hit/dinged by other folks!). There's a reason so many dealerships send their scratched/dinged cars here....THEIR WORK IS AWESOME AND TOTALLY METICULOUS!!! I totally trust Roy and his crew 1,000%. I was stressing over where I was going to get a quick repair and happened upon Harry's when I was close to work. I spoke to the owner, pulled in, $20 ($25 with a tip) and about 20 minutes later I had my bumper fixed. I appreciated the super quick and super cheap job plus the honesty here. They literally held my car hostage, wanting over $4,000 for storage fees which broke down to $175 a day! They would not take calls from my insurance company, nor would they return calls. The adjuster was unable to get to see my car. No one was ever available to speak with and, at one point, they actually wanted me to agree to paying them $1,000 AND sign over my title to them! After 25 days of them holding my car hostage, the insurance company told them I had had enough & was going to contact ABC News, News12, and retain an attorney. I also went to the village clerk's office & registered a complaint. That's when they finally released my car. I have advised the Village of Lynbrook of the situation and have asked them to NOT renew their tow license. These guys are despicable, disgusting crooks & I have no idea how they sleep at night. They would never stand for their wife/daughter/mother ever being taken advantage of they way they tried to take advantage of me.
