I have tried now for five weeks to get b my membership transferred from Palo Alto. I called, they sent me forms, I filled them out, emailed them in on 12/22/2025. I have since called four times and been told it takes 10-15 days. It is now 31 days and I'm tired of calling and getting zero service. Now that location is closed and the phone rooms over to San Jose where that person cannot help me. Then I call Mountain View and they can't help me. If you know me, than you know I am a "have to see it, to believe it," kind of guy. This past Saturday, my wife could barely stand. Even laying down for any length of time caused pain. Being a pharmacy employee, I immediately thought Motrin. I even considered taking her to urgent care. My wife had other ideas, she wanted to see Jing at Massage Envy, in Mountain View. Let me start with the front desk staff. They are super friendly and easy to work with. Once you walk in there, the mood is set for us to have a great time. The rooms and beds are clean, nice and very comfortable. My husband and I have our weekly massage with Jing here. We followed her from the other location to Mountain View. She is the best!! When we walk out of here we always feel we are more aligned and relaxed. Our back, shoulder, neck are so much better now. She asks what we want, how we want it, and the results are always amazing. The pain has gotten better and manageable. During my pregnancy, she helps me tremendously with the prenatal massage. I'm 38 weeks pregnant now and I feel great, with no swelling hands or feet, minimum discomfort physically. She is very caring and attentive. Great massage, clean place. I like their website as it was super easy to look for an appointment. I also liked that they ask for your focus areas and pressure level before the massage itself The reason I gave it a 4: I chose to go to this place as I was interested in getting one of the add on services. I booked the add ons with the massage online which they let me book without any disclaimer. However, once I got there for my appointment, they told me that the add ons were not available because the masseuse was not trained for it. The reason I am giving one star is that because they didn't cancel my membership even if I asked them to do so multiple times. The front desk always said that I would need to talk to manager to cancel, and finally asked me to freeze my account. Even if I asked them to freeze my account until 2024, they still charged my account and when I asked them to refund me, they denied to do so. Please change your card if you are a member their and want to cancel membership. That's the only way, others this franchise will keep on charging you. read more

This is a very beautiful and clean location! I have seen different massage therapists at this location as well as the esthetician. I always ask for medium pressure & my areas of focus are my shoulders and back. Wendy, Lissa, Helen, & Birdy were all amazing! Throughout the massage they asked me if the pressure was okay, spent a good amount of time on my areas of focus but still had enough time to do the rest of my body. I've been a member of Massage Envy Mountain View since it opened. I have always found the front desk team to be friendly & helpful. Over the years, I have seen many massage therapists there & whenever I needed to find a new one, the front desk staff always had a recommendation based on the type of massage I liked. I am really happy and impressed with my current massage therapist Jing. She listens to my issues and comes up with a treatment plan that makes a real difference. She is very knowledgeable and has resolved my acute pains and makes my chronic ones bearable. In fact, I was skeptical when she recommended using the CBD enhancement cream to better penetrate & calm the inflammation from my chronic condition, but I trusted her. Sure enough, I felt relief from that nagging pain & improved my range of motion. Since this is a chronic issue, it doesn't go away but with Jing's frequency recommendations, I am so much better off. I purchased a 90 minute facial- and what a joke! It was barely an hour. She ended 10 minutes early, started 10 min late and tried to sell me beauty products for another 10 min. When I pointed out that it was not a 90 min facial the lady at the front tried to blame it on "undressing, dressing time, paperwork time, and consulting time." Even if that was the case why did she end early to try to sell me products?? I'm sure it's the same exact as the 60 min so do yourself a favor and just buy the shortest facial available because it'll be the same anyway. And when I mentioned it, (I don't often bring up issues) she was rude and dismissive. Totally not worth the money. Won't be going back to this massage envy again. read more

I loved Helena at the Sunnyvale location, but she moved to Redwood City which is too far for me to go. I grabbed an opening at the Mountain View location with Natalie and I'm very glad I did. First off, the location is great, the facility was spotless and the front desk gentleman was personable and professional. I like firm pressure and hot stones, and Natalie was masterful at both. I have been going to this massage Envy weekly for over 6 months. I have had hip problems for several years and I finally found a massage therapist who truly is helping me!!!! Her name is Jinghua or "Jing" and she is amazing!!!! She listens to me and really cares about helping people!!! She always knows exactly where my pain or discomfort is and how to relieve it! If you stop by this Massage Envy, consider seeing Jing. She is my favorite therapist in any of the Massage Envy sites I've been to throughout the country. She also just won an award for being ME's "National Therapist of the Year," so that's a pretty decent sign that you're in good hands! One thing that sets Jing apart is that she really listens and comes up with actual treatment plans for her clients. It's not just a one and done thing. If you have an issue she will give you a recommendation of how many times to come in and at what time intervals in order to really tackle the problem. I have a chronic issue that I've been trying to treat for a while, so it was really validating and reassuring to feel like someone was actually paying attention and had a big picture vision about how to address it. And she really cares about making progress too. I was late to my session the other day and Jing was the one who was worried about the time I lost because she wanted to make sure she could really do what was needed to get me fixed up. She's also just extremely knowledgable. She mentioned she has experience working as a medical professional abroad, and that shows. And she's also just good at messages! Book early though. I was referred to Katherine by a close friend. Katherine provided me with an amazing facial experience. I appreciated that she explained every step of the treatment including the types of solutions she was using. I also appreciated her soothing and calming voice as she helped me relax. After two weeks of terrible congestion, fever, chills, body aches, and a hacking cough, I needed to destress. Many of the places on the Peninsula were already booked, but Massage Envy had a few slots available and I was stoked the massage was going to be about 1/3 of the price. WHA!?!? An affordable massage without the shady environ? When I arrived it felt a little cheesy and forced. Maybe it was the different shades of purple and the purple polos the front desk staff were wearing. Just not very relaxing. The chairs were reminiscent of doctor's office chairs. I thought the intro would be a sales pitch, but I just filled out a quick form with my information and I was led into the 'quiet area': Lazy boys, a small cascading waterfall and soothing sounds greeted me. Shortly, Molly my massage therapist led me into my room. I chose the 90 min massage at firm pressure, but I didn't get the choice of what type of massage. The brochure and website boast a variety. Molly asked me if I preferred cream or oil for the massage. She also asked if I was comfortable with her massaging my buttocks and face. I've never been given so many options, I thought this was very considerate for the sensitive, and really customized the massage. I fell asleep on several occasions, b/c I was extremely relaxed. There was one point where Molly stretched my legs and that woke me up. The room was at a comfortable temperature level and the table was heated perfectly. Molly was very gentle and considerate of my needs. Keeping the prices at rock bottom: No bathrobes, led into the room and you change there. Less laundry. No fancy schmancy water, champagne or snacks. Decor is minimal. Totally worth $57. I may just join their monthly massage program for a mere $59 I get one 1 hr massage per month, and if I don't use it that month, it rolls into the next. I was extremely disappointed in the prenatal massage. Since the massage was labelled as "prenatal", I expected that the masseuse would know the areas that typically bring discomfort in pregnancy. She barely massaged my lower back and feet even after I requested for it. It was supposed to be a firm full body massage for an hour, but many body parts were left untouched. I arrived in time for my appointment because I wanted to maximize the whole hour of the massage, but the masseuse started about 5 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early. I repeatedly told the masseuse to go deeper with the massage, but she was basically just rubbing oil on my body. I use lotion daily and certainly did not pay a $160 for someone to just rub oil on some parts of my body. It was a complete waste of money. read more

Ed is awesome! If I had gone one more day without a massage...well, I don't know what would have happened. Whatever it was, something not good. Massage Envy is clearly a chain so I always go in with managed expectations. Fortunately, Ed exceeded these expectations He knows his stuff - being able to identify where I had tightness vs. inflammation. (Although those results were not promising.) The key to a bad massage therapist is they don't listen or attempt to customize the massage. Ed listens and tries to understand where the pain spots are. He checked in with me when necessary but wasn't overly chatty (cuz yes massage is a form of therapy, but who gets a massage to spend time with chatty Cathy?). He also used hot towels and a special cooling lotion to target my pretty severe pain points. I made my appointment pretty last minute...morning of (yeah, I said it was dire). The guy at the desk was pretty friendly and they have a nice little relaxation room where you can wait. Like all massage places, expect at least a short pitch (from the front desk) about why regular massages are necessary/asking when you want to schedule the next one. As a marketing person #nothavingit. The first time price is pretty good at $60 for 50 minutes. Anyway, this massage was SO needed and Ed targeted my pain points. 10/20 update Today was their grand opening. Donna called me inn the morning and asked if I wanted to make in appointment for an introductory massage today, so I made an 1.5 hr Swedish massge at 5pm for $57...what a great deal. One hour is $39. You get a choice of massages. Got there 10 minutes early, they had me fill out a health form in the lobby, it was a little warm in there, felt the AC was off then you are moved to the darkened quiet room to relax and wait for your therapist,. It was much cooler in this room. There are 12 rooms with a spartan decor with muted purple tones. Around an 8 x 10 room, massage table, rolling stool, a chair to put your clothes and an end table to leave your tips, a clock and the items the therapist uses. Lily was my therapist (you can ask for male or female). A tiny little friendly asian woman. During the first half, when I was face down, her touch was too light for me and her strokes too quick but when she had me turn over on my back, her pressure was much stronger and slower strokes. Then I really enjoyed the facial message with all the pressure points because my nose was stuffed up from being face down, so that helped me breathe. Lily had a cup of cool water waiting for me and took me to the front desk after I dressed, I left my tip in the room or you can leave it at the front desk when you pay for your massage. At the front desk Donna, the afternoon manager then explained the membership. You pay $59 a month and get an hour massage, if you don't use it that month, then it rolls over to the next month. All massages after that for the month are $39 for an hour, $57 for an hour and a half, $75 for two hours. Donna was very nice about it and wasn't pushy at all when I declined the offer. There are other cool deals that come with the monthly membership. You can go to any Massage Envy locations to get the discounted rate. Donna mentioned a couple more ME are planning on opening in the South Bay. There are a couple already open, further up the peninsula. One little nitpicky thing, wish they would use an eyemask on you when you are face up, to block out the dim lights. So overall I was very pleased, I still get a better deal through my Kaiser health plan for massages but for someone who doesn't get any deals, this would we a great way to go if you want to get at least two massages a month. It is a great deal. ----------------------------------- Spoke to Massage Envy in Mountain View today. They will open in October 2006.
