I purchased an Amazon Deal for a 90 minute massage. Massage was scheduled for 7:30pm. Mikey didn't start the massage until 7:43pm (yes, I checked)...and he finished at 8:58pm. This bothers me as I paid for 90 minutes...not 75. Also, the deal said the massage could be deep tissue, and I let him know that I wanted firm pressure, but I felt like it was a Swedish the whole time. I have written 2 emails about my experience and have not heard anything back. I am not happy with this service. Excellent service! I purchased a voucher for Renovatio massage through Amazon Local. Scheduling was very efficient (I emailed Mikey my schedule and he called me back with what worked). They are very accessible to contact and are great with communication - I called as late as 830pm one night to confirm an appointment and they answered right away. They called to confirm before my appointment and Mikey called after to confirm that the massage went well and ask for feedback. There hours are great for busy people 9a-9p most days. Overall, the company is extremely well run and responsive. The massage was awesome - I had Alice come to my house. She was very professional, and an excellent masseuse. Mikey is a very nice guy, and I was looking for a new massage therapist so I was excited given the reviews. On the positive side, he was nice and quick to set up his table at my home. I like the convenience of a mobile massage. He was a little late, but I didn't mind. However, he did not give me a full hour massage. Also, the table was squeaking so it was hard to relax with that noise every time. Finally, the oil was not warm. I know this is a simple thing to complain about but these are the little things that make a massage experience worth it. NOTE: We never received our service/massages! my poor experience: - on Groupon it was listed as Renovio Mobile massage but he changed it to Massage Entourage (odd) - when I first called he said he didn't want to honor it (he claimed he had asked Groupon to take it down), but he would make an exception for me (I paid for it, so he should) - he was very hard to get a hold of; not responding to phone calls or text - he was going to send a confirmation email same night we spoke but it arrived at much later - he arrived 30 minutes late (maybe it was 40 minutes) - his attire wasn't massage therapist oriented - he walked on my carpet with his shoes (as someone that comes into homes often, you would think he would know better) - he was sweating and didn't want to use the bathroom to freshen up before starting (I think that's gross) - he was going to play music from his phone (I would think he would have portable speakers so it's loud enough Very uncomfortable situation: - I noticed that he was watching me out of the corner of his eye as he massaged my girlfriend (weird) - he then asked me if it was a camera (pointing at my web camera) - I told him yes it was a camera - he asked me if it was recording him - I told him that it wasn't recording him per se, but everything in the room - he asked me to turn it around or turn it off - I asked him why - he said he has a "no camera policy" - (his website never said anything like that) - I told him that I wasn't recording him that it was an everyday thing for me - he started to get frustrated and told me again to turn around or turn it off - I told him I didn't understand why he wanted me to turn it off that it was kind of weird - he asked me if it was filming again - I told him yes it was filming but not him and that I record every single day and I have no interest nor intention of publishing his massage therapy or anything - he said he was going to have to stop the massage if I couldn't turn it off - (at this point I was getting a little nervous like he was a criminal and going to attack us, therefore I got out of my seat and walked closer to the door since it was locked; keep in mind my girlfriend is practically naked on the table helpless) - I unlocked and opened the door wide - I expressed that it was a little odd that he didn't want to be recorded and now I'm thinking he's some sort of criminal and going to attack us - I told him that his website didn't state and no camera policy and if he has one it should state that clearly - he agreed that he should update his website to state that he has a new camera policy - I told him that I wanted a complete refund for both of us if he was going to leave because this was a partial birthday gift and we had waited a month and took off work EARLY to prepare for this - he asked if it was Groupon or Amazon local or something - I told him Groupon and how would I know if he's really going to refund me "can't you just give me the cash now?" - he said he had to do it through Groupon - (that's fine and all but how is a consumer to know that the merchant really is going to refund you) - my girlfriend told me to just take it up with "The owner" - I said he was the owner (Mike Loza) - so then I asked him if he had any massage therapists actually working for him (because why would he make the phone calls and come do the massage.... Just seems unprofessional) - he said he did - he put his shoes on and started to walk all over the carpet even though I had already asked him to take his shoes off because I didn't want him walking on the carpet tracking all icky things from outside indoors - so I said to him why did you put your shoes on to walk all over my carpet and I think you did that on purpose? - he apologized to my girlfriend - I said shouldn't you apologize to me too (after all I am the one that paid for it all and took the time to go through all the hassle of booking) - after he left we decided to check online for reviews under the new alias name is Massage Entourage - sure enough he had poor reviews (same exact experience that I had, except all combined into one) - I also think it's funny that he had pictures of him and his massage therapists massaging people are awesome Honda Wellness Program event (why is it okay to post pictures for them when I'm not even recording him)?? - I immediately wrote Groupon just in case he doesn't or does it much later - I'm sure you would be dissatisfied too (I have learned my lesson and I will not buy anything from locals until I've checked yelp) I hope I provided you with enough detail. My husband and I bought a Living Social deal. After reading the reviews I must say I was expecting the worst (no return calls and no-shows). I left a message and the owner, Mikey, returned my call that same day and booked us an appointment for 2 days later on Thursday evening. Not only did he actually show up, he gave us both the full hour (seems to be an issue with some places) and both of us feel great today. I have some sort of arm issue where currently I can hardly get my bra off and on. This morning I was able to hook the straps and I feel about 200% better. Mikey really listened to our issues and worked on the problem areas for us. He also told us exercises to help stretch out our problem areas for the future. Unbelievable. Not sure how a company like this can still be in business. I purchased 2 different things from him. We purchased a Groupon and also purchased a gift certificate through an e-mail that he sent out. First the groupon. I was never able to set this up my appt. He never returned calls and he also never responded to e-mails. After a lot of wasted time called groupon and they gave me a credit. Not to bad. Here is the really screwed part, my gift certificate which we purchased for $45 was supposed to be for a 90 min massage. When we got the certificate I found it odd that it showed no value to it. It just says enjoy your gift. A couple of months go by and when I go to use the certificate it says the value of it is $45 which they don't even offer a massage for that price. Everything is over $90. Why would we buy a gift certificate for 1/2 the value of a massage. This was a gift certificate and shows no expiration date so that shouldn't have been the problem. Of course several voicemails left and no resonse. So I would have to cough up another $45 to get a massage. I called American Express to dispute the charge. They also tried to contact him and of course he did not response to them either . Since it was over 6 months they couldn't help me. Please don't buy gift certificates from this guy for loved ones for Christmas. All you will be buying them is a giant headache. He also used to go by the name of Renovatio massage so keep that in mind. I just threw my gift certificate in the trash along with $45. read more

I was very impressed with Mikey. Not only did he arrive on time, but he was very thorough and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. Inviting a stranger into your home and to have a massage performed....no issues. He was professional, courteous and at no time did I feel awkward. His technique is different, bu the strength in his hands and fingers allowed him to work on knots without using his elbows which can be painful. I had no issues the next morning and in fact felt like a million dollars! There is something to be said about not having to worry about driving home after a massage. REVIEW FOR DANIELLE I Have Spinal Stenosis and have had two Epidurals as treatment. After each Epidural I had Physical Therapy which helps some, especially the short massage which was usually the last thing on my treatment. Knowing Danielle had completed her Therapeutic Massage training, I asked her to massage me between Physical Therapy sessions. Her treatment was more effective than the physical therapy, so I soon stopped that and came to rely only on Danielle. She finds sore and tense muscles I'm not even aware of massages them and relieves tension and pain remarkably.
