My husband researched and picked the show. It was his birthday so I gave him the reigns. When we arrived to this dead looking old art shop I was pretty sure he had been scammed. But the closer we got to "curtain" I realized at least he wasn't the only one because a growing group of patrons stretched toward the diner next door. Nothing could have prepared me for what I experienced. This reimagining of The Phantom of the Opera is easily the best thing I've seen in 30 years. (Including Phantom). The show is so immersive I felt like I personally experienced their tragedies and joys. The vocals and acting were a masterclass. The sets and costumes were well crafted and dazzling. I normally suffer from back pain when walking or standing and found myself distracted so thoroughly that I don't remember feeling my normal issues except a few times. A word of warning. Absolutely tell them if you may need accommodations. Do not try to push through you will not want to focus on anything except the show. Things to note: you are not permitted to bring your phone they cover the lens with a sticker then check every bag. In my opinion it ensures the integrity of the environment. I didn't know they were going to do that, while nothing happened to my belongings, I wouldn't bring anything irreplaceable. The staff were very helpful and cordial. This is an absolute must for anyone who loves Broadway.

Wow! I was blown away by my experience at Masquerade. I have some friends who have seen it multiple times and they insisted we go for my birthday. Now, I'd seen "Phantom" several times in the theater and honestly, I fell asleep every time, but my friends were so insistent I said I'd go to Masquerade. In preparation, I watched the movie version of "Phantom of the Opera" from 2004 just so had familiarity with the story line, and I'll say that was very helpful. As others mention, this is an immersive, interactive production but even knowing that, I wasn't sure what to expect. You do need to wear a mask (like an elegant eye mask, not an N95) and they encourage everyone to dress up and I'll admit, seeing ladies in gowns and men in tuxes and suits really elevated the experience. The logistics are well thought out...they are moving a lot of people through this experience but it's very well managed. When you go into the first room, you're immediately immersed and it gets better from there. The performers are all interactive and everyone is incredibly talented. The Phantom and the Christine in my performance were both amazing singers. I also enjoyed getting to be so close up to the performers (and even got to hold Christine's dress in her dressing room...it's very heavy). You're on the move quite a bit so the time passes quickly...before I knew it, two hours had passed and the show was over. Then we went to the lounge and hung out for awhile and got photos, merch and drinks. Note, you can't take photos during the performance and that's a good thing because everyone stays in the moment, which is rare these days. This is pretty pricey (about $300 per person to start) but I would say it's worth it. If you're from out of town, get a hotel room for the night, go see the show, go out for a nightcap and then stroll to your hotel. We went to Tanner Smith's after and everyone was going wild for our tuxes and gowns and we saw a lot of other fans there as well (including a couple from Philadelphia who had seen it four times!). It was such a memorable and fun night. If you have a special occasion to celebrate, this would be a great option.

I'm a huge Phantom of the Opera fan. As a Phan who had seen the show 7 times (2x in San Francisco, 3x in New York during its original run, and 2x in London). If we count Masquerade, this will be my 4th time in New York, 8th time total. But my first time in this Masquerade iteration. I first saw Masquerade at the 1:15pm pulse on 12/26, and I don't know if I can ever enjoy the stage show the same ever again because this immersive experience was ASTOUNDING. Without giving spoilers, I'm thrilled I saw Telly Leung, and I got so many goodies (letters, notes, Don Juan ticket, program) during my first visit. The ending breaks my heart even harder than the original show (in a good way), and the entire creative time and cast have done a phenomenal job immersing audiences into Erik's world. The experience lasted about 2 hours. At the end, the area of the boat scene/Phantom's lair for Music of the Night is transformed into a cocktail bar where you can take photos with candelabras and an angel statue. Lots of goth music is playing, and it feels perfect for a goth club! I decided to go again on 1/6 for the 7:30 pulse, and I was blown away by the legendary Hugh Panaro! He's now my favorite Phantom I've seen live, and I feel so blessed to have experienced the legend, and have him touch my shoulders a few times during my visit, eeeee!!!! Phans, if you are in New York, this is a MUST-SEE.

At our 7:30 pulse on 2/28/26.

What's an amazing, immersive production of Masquerade, which is basically the Phantom of the Opera as seen through the OG's eyes. My boyfriend and I had so much fun attending this production. We really enjoyed getting dressed up and being a part of the show. One of the actors in the first scene even asked me to dance. It was so cool! Also, the Phantom ran his hand along my shoulders as he walked behind me! Again, so cool! The cast was super talented and it was really incredible to see the logistics of it because we went from room to room for the different scenes. The whole thing was coordinated like clockwork. I can see why people go to see this more than once because there are different cast members depending on which pulse you attend. We attended the 7:30 pulse on Saturday night. Mind you, we did a lot of walking, even walking very briskly and going up and downstairs so you have to be able to withstand the physical aspect of it. At times you get to sit, if you are lucky, at other times, you stand or lean against something. Regardless, it was a lot of fun, intimate, and up close and personal. This show is a must see for anyone and especially if you enjoyed the original Phantom of the Opera!

They put big red stickers over your phone camera so you can't take pictures but I gotta say, I think that's a good thing. Being robbed of the ability to use your camera forces you to be present and embrace the interactive pageantry that is Masquerade. An immersive journey through Phantom, this experience lets you share the Opera Ghost's pain & passion. You need to go do this!

If you love Phantom of the Opera this is a must fur you. From the very start of donning a mask to the exit in the well appointed bar it is not a show but an experience. You are immersed in the okay starting with the masquerade party all the way through the play. The scenes are well scripted and the performers are amazing. You feel a part of the show as you travel through the venue with the performers constantly entertained and amazed by the performance. I loved the show seen on Broadway and in London it thus is truly special. Dress the part (black, white or silver formal) as required and be in time as it rolls every 15 minutes. Bring your own mask or you will be provided one and enjoy this truly unique experience.

The amount of talent in this show is just outstanding. This immersive experience starts outside where they line you up by our show time, make sure you have a mask (or you're given one) and a sticker is placed on your camera so you can't record the show. And trust me, you shouldn't be distracted trying to record anything. You need to absorb every waking moment. This has been one of the coolest experiences! This Phantom of the Opera Masquerade follows the Phantom and Christine along the whole story line and you are basically rubbing shoulders with the actors. You walk along to different rooms, somehow go to the roof, somehow go down escalators and follow along as the scenes go progressing. The singing and acting is immaculate. Yes I sobbed like a baby with the closing scene. It is so powerful and moving. At the end of the performance you're taken to a post cocktail area that is just as beautifully decorated in theme where you can enjoy some cocktails and snap some pictures for your memoir. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND for ALL Phantom Phans!!!

Blown away by this production. The talent, the set, the thoughtful perspective placed on the Phantom himself, it was all incredible and overwhelming (in the best way). It felt like everyone involved cherished the Phantom of the Opera as much if not more than I do, which made me feel so free to gush over Piangi and to interact with the performers. Thank you so much for this fabulous experience! Bravo!

Check in stamps of the Phantom!

Truly the most incredible experience New York has to offer. This is better than anything on and off Broadway. The actors, staff, and production is the most professional and talented show New York has. I could not believe how the show started, went on, and finished. From the beginning room of live music from a beautiful violinist to the most personal up close and beautiful Opera singing. The wardrobes are immaculate and the experience is timeless! I am so honored to witness such an outstanding performance. I wish this ran everyday so more people could experience this masterpiece. Wonderful job on everyone involved it was the best show I have ever seen in New York over Lion King, Hamilton, Wicked, Mr Saturday Night, and more! The masquerade is phenomenal!

Everybody did such a great job and I really loved Scorpius's character. Of course Tom Felton was there as the original Draco Malfoy, which is the entire reason that we came. If you want to during the play, you can order food to your seat which I thought was cool. The rest of the snacks were good for what they were. We booked through AAA and got a snack bag with popcorn water and a cursed child cup filled with Gummies. Everything was really good. If I could change one thing and I know this is like, "come on" but the seats were kind of uncomfortable. Google says that the Lyric Theatre was redone in 1996. The seats feel like they are from the 1930s so plan for that. Some

I had previously seen the touring production in West Palm Beach, Florida, but there was something magical about experiencing it in New York. The theater itself is older, so the seats aren't the most comfortable, but I actually enjoy these historic venues. They have so much character and charm that you just don't find in newer theaters. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see Moulin Rouge! on Broadway before it closes. It was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The bathroom attendance made sure that this 'older' feeling did get cast its shadow on the patrons and for that I am grateful.
