As someone who's long been aboard the Hamilton train--singing along on road trips, quoting it mid-conversation, and maybe crying over "It's Quiet Uptown" more times than I care to admit--I finally saw it live. Let me just say: Disney+ didn't lie, but seeing it in person is an entirely different, electrifying experience. The moment the first notes hit, the energy in the room shifted. The music didn't just play--it reverberated. You feel it in your chest, in your bones, in your tear ducts (which, in my case, were working overtime). The choreography was even sharper in person, the lighting richer, the pacing tighter. There's a visceral charge that no screen can replicate. Hamilton live is a masterclass in controlled chaos--every word, movement, and beat meticulously placed, yet filled with emotion that feels alive and unrehearsed. Now, let's talk seating--or rather, the perils of perspective. I was seated toward the back of the theatre, where you get the occasional thrill of seeing someone's head instead of a duel. It's a big theatre, and yes, the view was less than ideal at times. But somehow... it didn't matter. The staging is so dynamic and the storytelling so powerful, I would happily sit back there again (and again, and again). Truly, I could see Hamilton from the parking lot and still walk away weeping and applauding like I'd just witnessed history. There's a reason Hamilton became a cultural juggernaut, and seeing it live reminds you why. It's not just the clever lyrics or the genre-bending music. It's the story--about ambition, legacy, love, loss--and the way it's told: fast, fierce, and filled with humanity. In short: if you've watched it online and wondered if the in-person experience is worth it, the answer is yes. A thousand times yes. Even from the nosebleeds, it's unforgettable. History has its eyes on Hamilton--and so should you.

Hamilton the musical is a must see for all ages. This fast-paced funny historical pictorial of the American Revolution is so well done. The cast is spectacular and very talented. It's worth all the hype.

Great play, the Bur actor was absolutely amazing, with such a compelling presentation of the character. The play was awesome, along with the stage itself.

A modern classic that is a true testament to what New York and this nation stands for at its very foundation. Hosted by the prestigious Richard Rodgers Theater, Hamilton pulls no punches delivering a fiercely poetic and complex retelling of Alexander Hamilton's life through the medium of modern music. The experience from entrance to being ushered to our seats to intermission and us inevitably leaving was underscored by this intense feeling of excitement and the feeling that you were about to witness something special. The cast is great, although they will unfortunately be damned to comparison against the original cast. We sat in orchestra and the sound, visibility, and set design were great. While it is no Les Mis or Wicked in the emotion it evokes, Hamilton is an energetic and compelling musical that deserves its accolades, a must see if you have the time and budget to do so.

Wonderful experience! Actors were talented and engaging. I could see all the spitting through spot lights that was kinda funny. Good casting, great voice, and beautiful performance. There was this one man stood up the most, he read some decree, all the other times he danced, he glides. Like beautifully glides. Kids thought other hamilton cast was better but ive never seen the one on disney. I thought they were all awesome.

Bucket List experience that I waited for ten years that finally came true. Wish I could have won the Lotto or sat to afford closer but it was still amazing. Stage door was great too. Thank you all for sharing your talent.

Incredible and a MUST SEE.

Hamilton is such a great musical. The myriad of emotions, the talent of the performers, the gracefulness of the ensemble, and the powerful sound system makes this a memorable experience. If you haven't seen this musical, I suggest becoming familiar with the soundtrack. It'll enhance your enjoyment and will help you follow the fast paced portions. This musical not only provides a cool angle to this nation's history, but it's approach will transcend history, as well.

I finally saw Hamilton and really enjoyed it! They were on 2 for 1 Broadway week and we got 4th row mezzanine. The view was great! The bathroom line for the women's room was nuts and we did miss the beginning of the 2nd act a bit but they do their best to move it. Appreciated the red wine, it was pretty good though pricey for what it was. The legroom was also tight but the show great! The music and history were top notch.

My third time seeing it and it always gets better. Thank you to the actors to the crew creators and staff. We had an amazing journey with you . Broadway at its finest.

Front row end amazing (Lottery seats)

On the second day of my first time entering the Hamilton Lottery, I won front row seats..to see the faces up close was beyond what I could appreciate from seats that I would have been able to purchase. You are able to put in about 10 dates in a row, so no need to reenter daily. (crazy sidenote, I won Book of Mormon, Hamilton & Wicked all within a 10 day period, first time ever entering any Broadway show lottery, no joke !) The dancing, choreography & their team work was fantastic. The dialogue & rap, brilliant. Blink & you will miss something happening. I would encourage you to put the official lottery app on your phone, and enter. Keep at it. You can't beat a 10 dollars seat ! Brush up on the history, the story of these characters & how things unfold. It's quick..quick witted, quickly spoken..you will be on the edge of your seat the entire time..

Perfect date night! We went during the broadway special (buy one get one free) which personally I didn't find to be a great deal. We ended up buying tickets on a third party app for better seats and price. Now for the show and theater, both were absolutely excellent! Rodgers theater is not large and I think no matter what seat you get, it's an excellent view. The show itself was incredible. I came in tired from my Thursday workday and felt energized by the end of it. Everyone performed exceptionally and drew you into the story line. So glad I got to experience it!

I will say that this play is definitely for people whose into or simply knows history. I did enjoy what I could understand since they rapped so fast throughout the entire show lol. My friend laughed at me because she knows I don't listen nor understand when people rap. All in all it was a good show and you could definitely learn a thing or two from it.

Finally saw Hamilton on Broadway in NYC. This has to be the best play I'd seen LIVE in about 24 years. This musical tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton was one of the 7 Founding Fathers; in other words these fellas collectively crafted the framework/foundation of the American history/journey to freedom. Totally was fascinated and impressed by how the music and storytelling is a combination of hip hop, R&B and a touch of rap. I'd felt as though as I was listening to the radio station "Hot 97." I'd actually grew up listening to this type of music in my teenager years... Hamilton is about a 3 hour commitment and they do have intermission. Phew! Ticket prices are a bit extreme, but I was able to take advantage of the exclusive deals offered at @todaytix. I'd sat in the rear balcony and was able to have a real nice view of the stage.

How much is a cocktail and does it come in the Hamilton cup?

I don't remember the price but yes you get a decent plastic Hamilton cup with a flip top. In November you could order a second drink for intermission so you could skip the line.

Where is the stage door located?

As you exit the theatre (there's only one exit, and it's the same place you entered), it's to your left. If you're facing the theatre, say from across the street or looking at the Ham4Ham silhouettes, it's to your right. Walk past the Ham4Ham… Read more

Everybody did such a great job and I really loved Scorpius's character. Of course Tom Felton was there as the original Draco Malfoy, which is the entire reason that we came. If you want to during the play, you can order food to your seat which I thought was cool. The rest of the snacks were good for what they were. We booked through AAA and got a snack bag with popcorn water and a cursed child cup filled with Gummies. Everything was really good. If I could change one thing and I know this is like, "come on" but the seats were kind of uncomfortable. Google says that the Lyric Theatre was redone in 1996. The show was surprisingly modern, and completely captivating from start to finish. The energy in the theater was unreal as everyone, including celebrities, came out to celebrate Megan Thee Stallion in her final performance as Zidler. She was hilarious, quick, and owned that stage in every moment she appeared. Even though I've seen her perform on tour, it felt like such a special experience to witness. We soaked in the city, took in some sights, and of course grabbed a slice while we were there. I am beyond grateful to my husband for such an incredible and thoughtful gift. Even though it's a non-traditional spin on the character, she infuses the role with her signature "hot girl" energy and is a total joy to watch on stage. Despite her massive personality, she manages not to overshadow the rest of the cast. I think that speaks volumes about the group's chemistry... she fits right in without upstaging anyone. Since it's a jukebox musical anyway, having Meg perform some of her own hits while the rest of the company joined in was a great touch. Having seen the original cast in the 2019 Moulin Rouge production, which was also wonderful, I'm really glad I got to experience both interpretations.
