It took us a while to get there, since we don't travel to Union Square as often as we used to, but the theatre is very nice. I'd definitely go back.

This was my first time attending the Daryl Roth Theater and it was an enjoyable experience. The theater is small, quaint, clean, and the staff members are very cordial and helpful. We went to see, All The Devils Are Here, and it was amazing! It's a one person show and Patrick Page, nominated for Hadestown, put on a fabulous performance. He not only wrote the play, but also portrays many of Shakespeare's villains, revealing nature's complexity. Mr. Page is gripping, humorous, and insightful masterclass on the essence of human nature. After the play, Mr. Page came out for a 20 minute talk-back. He answered the audience's questions with great detail and personal insight. This play will only run through February 25 so, run and see it. Ohhhh, it also has a 96% on show-score.com. Enjoy...

Decent off Broadway theatre, but could be better. The downstairs bar area is okay, but the bathrooms really need better maintenance. The theatre itself is mediocre - basically a black box with 100 or so organized office chairs. It's small, so every seat in the house is good! Titanique is a solid show! Worth it... especially for hardcore Celine Dion fans!

I came here to see Titanique this week, and had the best time! The theater is small and intimate, so there is not a bad seat in the house! Downstairs they have a bar, merch section, step and repeat for photos, and bathrooms. Colleen was the bartender the night we went and she made us some awesome vodka sodas! All the staff was helpful and directed us to our seats. We were in the front row, which was awesome, and the show was HILARIOUS! If you love titanic, celine dion, and/or musical theater jokes, you have to see the show! The talent is off the charts and I didn't stop laughing the whole 90 minutes. Definitely a must see for New Yorkers and tourists alike!

Watched titanique here. First time to watch a theater show and we were glad we watched titanique! Clean place for an off-broadway. Tight spacing but doable. Find a garage nearby of you have a car. See images for reference.

Thanks to strong word of mouth, such as from our friend Mia, and a passionate social media following, this musical is a loving parody of the epic movie Titanic. Titanique, in French, retells the story from Céline Dion's perspective and through her eyes and music. Experiencing off-Broadway week as first-timers, my partner and I came to the Daryl Roth Theatre located on 15th Street in Union Square. Upon entering, the interior is perfectly sized and intimate, with great views of the stage, and the acoustics are good. There were steps up to the theater and down two levels to the bar and restrooms. We were in orchestra row L, and our seats were manageable. Nicole Parker, who played Céline, was on Mad TV, and Elphaba in Wicked was so hilarious. The vocal talent of the cast was simply amazing, especially Anne Fraser Thomas, who played Molly. It's quite witty, entertaining, and amusing, and we had a blast! If you're a fan of either Céline or Titanic--or both--there's nothing to stop you from having a great night out at Titanique, which we can recommend.

I visited Daryl Roth Theatre on a Saturday night at 8 pm for the "Is There Still Sex in the City" play by Candace Bushnell. She is the writer of the hit Sex and the City. In the show, she tells her personal stories of love, relationships, and the relationship rules that she learned from her life. It was a spacious venue with a comedic show and I enjoyed it. I did notice most of the audience were women than men. It was quite witty, entertaining, and amusing. I would recommend this great show!

A wonderful off Broadway theatre right off of Union Square Easily accessible by subway (4,5,6) and many restaurants around the area as well. We went to see "Is there still sex in the city?" and we really enjoyed it. We showed our vaccination cards and our IDs to get in. You can see the stage from anywhere in the theatre so that doesn't matter because it is a 100 person theatre.

Came here for Hyprov and it was a really cool experience involving Hypnosis and Improv. Volunteers from the audience will be weened down to 3-5 participants who would be part of the improv performance. It was hilarious to see how normal day people get influenced by hypnosis and let loose to provide a fun night of entertainment.

I saw "Gloria A Life" the other day and had a great experience. The show was fabulous! The use of original video projections, strong ensemble cast, and theatre in the round was a great combination to tell this powerful story. The performance I saw was being filmed for television broadcast so there were a few cameras in the audience. I appreciated the story circle after the show, lead by Gloria Steinem herself. I'm grateful for the strong artistic team of women including playwright Emily Mann, and director Diane Paulus behind the production. An important time in history every person should know about. It was delivered in a conversational, active and imaginative way. Go see it! The theatre seating, lighting and atmosphere was very pleasant. There are stairs and an elevator that go down to the lower level where there is a bar, lobby, and restrooms. Ticketing was easy and professional.

The Daryl Roth Theatre is a great spot for catching Off-Broadway productions in a large-scale theater. It is located right off Union Square Park in a renovated 1840s bank, the former Union Square Savings Bank. There are 3 distinct spaces in the building at present time, the Daryl Roth Theatre: currently home to In & Of Itself, the DR2 Theatre: an intimate performance space, and the downstairs cabaret bar: The D-Lounge. We went to see "In & Of Itself". It is about the illusion of identity and is a one man show from creator Derek DelGaudio, Executive Producer Neil Patrick Harris and Directed by Frank Oz. The show was fantastic and kept you thinking, imagining and left you in amazement and wonderment of what just happened. Over the course of the shows twists and turns woven by a well crafted tale told by Derek interwoven with his magic, you ponder the identity of self and the mystery that is Derek's magic. I highly recommend catching this show if your looking for something different then the usual song and dance shows On-Broadway. The fully stocked bar in the D-Lounge downstairs is open before the show and is located right downstairs from the theatre. Grab a drink before the show and prepare your self for amazement and mystery of Derek DelGaudio's one man show.

Beautiful bank turned into small size theatre. Now playing: In & Of Itself. Part magic show part performance piece. Very interesting and entertaining in an intimate setting. You are part of the show but don't worry about brushing up your acting skills or singing voice. I won't say anymore than that I highly recommend it.

Small theater approximately 100 seats they are roomy not to worry about being squeezed in. Every seat has a view, I wouldn't want to sit in the first 3 to 4 rows, VERY close to stage. The show we saw used minimal props, but with great skill. Consession stand has a few snacks, beer, wine, and water which you are allowed to take into the theater. I would go more often, but living an hour away it would have to be a pretty good show for off Broadway. It's located very near Union Square park, and some very good restaurants so make a day of it if you're coming in from out of town.

The rest of the night, all I could feel were her eyes on me from afar. At one point, she passed by me and secretly caressed my ass. I felt very uncomfortable and asked my partner if we could leave right after. I didn't feel safe asking for a manager to report her as she's already a supervisor security there. This is supposed to be a safe space and I DID NOT FEEL SAFE!!! Apparently from another person there, she gets "around" with girls there and even denied someone entry because they were no longer together. I would think she would be more respectful and keep it professional. I DID NOT CONSENT FOR HER TOUCHING ME LAST NIGHT!!! It's gross to think this is their employer. I will no longer be going back and neither will some of my other friends. It sucks, I really loved that party.

The Moth is a storytellers event that occurs at different places, and the one I went to was at Housing Works Bookstore and Cafe, which was the perfect venue. It started at 7:30 and ended at 9:30, there's no drink minimum, you can bring your own food, and tickets are cheap, but hard to get. It's essentially a show where people who'd previously entered their names get picked to tell stories in under five minutes. Anyone can do it, and anything can be said. There were funny ones, sad ones, dramatic ones, silly ones, overall twelve performances along with a host who introduces each one. They also sell drinks and snacks there, which goes to a great cause. Whether you're looking for something New Yorky, cheap, chill, cute, or thought-provoking, The Moth will satisfy.

Going to a Story Slam hosted by The Moth is actually one of my favorite things to do in the city…read more The story slams happen 4-6 times a month at various locations around Manhattan and Brooklyn (see the website for schedule). Each slam has a different theme. If you feel that you have a worthy 5-min story, you can put your name in the bag, where they draw out names. Ten storytellers go up and these stories are judged by three teams of judges from the audience. The winner of the slam goes on to the Quarterly GrandSLAM Championship. It lasts about 2.5 hrs and costs $8. I've gone to a couple of these at the Housing Works and I'm always really impressed by the quality and talent of most of the storytellers. Many of them take this quite seriously and you can tell that they spent time crafting their story and delivery. The best stories aren't the ones that are merely funny, but they're poignant, send you on an emotional roller coaster of highs and lows, and leave you with a message and something to think about. There's a certain raw honesty and catharsis that comes through and the audience is always supportive, especially so for the new storytellers who stand up there alone and vulnerable. Indeed, if the audience feels the judges are too harsh, the audience lets the judges know. At the Story Slam at Housing Works, the doors open at 7 pm (stories start at 7:30). There are limited seats, so if you're dead set on sitting, stand in line by 5:30. There are plenty places to stand and get a good view as Housing Works' second floor is a mezzanine. Recently I got to the line by 6:30 and easily found a comfortable spot to stand and watch (wear comfortable shoes!). The ticket sales of the Story Slam goes directly to The Moth. Housing Works, which is a wonderful organization that helps people with HIV/AIDS, sells alcohol and snacks, so you're giving to a great cause by drinking.

I was paired with a small group of out of town visitors who brought their family to NYC and wanted them to experience the Accomplice. The parents of the family group were repeat guests like myself who like me absolutely enjoyed their experience several years prior and wanted to share it with their family. It's NYC so even when you participate in the live experience it may seem awkward that an actor is making a scene (literally) on the streets of NYC but nobody bats an eye cause weirdness can feel normal on the streets of Manhattan. Accomplice still has the typical tour around the small area of the city where you interact with amazing actors and make your way to the grand finally where you share a simple drink with your group to celebrate your accomplishment. The staff do offer a hotline to get clues if you are stuck but thankfully my group was witty enough to figure out our way through our adventure. Accomplice is also great for corporate team building activities. I've raved about this experience at my office for years and one of my teams decided to book with the show. Not only did my office team have an amazing time but buzz is going around the office about this show that another team was considering booking but business guests thought it would be too cold in November for such an event; such party poopers! This play is about a universal theme of love, sex and relationships. If you are looking for love,…read moreand who isn't, this show will speak to you. For me, everything in this comedic play seemed all too familiar..during the show, I kept on thinking, OMG I think I found bits and pieces of myself in all the women characters...which makes me ask myself, am I crazy?!!!??? I'm okay with that....because MEN ARE A**HOLES. One of the actors when introducing the play in the beginning and after the intermission was making the audience chant..he would say Women are crazy because men are........and the audience, made up of mostly females said......A**HOLES!!!!!!! It felt therapeutic to shout it out loud! I was really getting into it...I looked at my boyfriend and he was making a frowny face. ahahha. I was trying to get him to chant A**HOLES too but he wouldn't bite. He said men are a**holes because they used to be hunters...okay. ahahhahah. That's why I love him! He's my hunter, now go hunt! This play reminds me of the book, Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. The play is set at one of the character's home, Nicole is throwing a soiree to celebrate meeting her internet fling for the first time, at this soiree!! Nicole invited her whole entire family to meet this internet fling that she herself never met...WHO DOES THIS??!! Nicole's family consisted of her sister and her BF, her brother and his GF, and her best friend and her BF. There was another couple that were supposed to be at the soiree but never showed up. All these couples are all having dysfunctional relationships, which makes for a funny play. This play takes a look into human nature, human relationships and human behavior. Sometimes the play may seem over the top, overly dramatic and highly passionate to get some laughter from us, but I recognize the characters all to well!! I know people just like the characters on stage in this play. I definitely have seen some of the characteristics even in myself. I felt ashamed at times...but laughed at myself! The comic timing in this show is awesome. My favorite couple is Hillary and George who never even made it to the soiree! I was laughing through the whole show. Even coming back from the intermission was fun! Be forewarned, women are going to be portrayed as psychotic beings, men are going to be portrayed as insensitive liars and we all need each other in unhealthy ways. But at the end it's all for laughs and for fun which this play definitely accomplishes...I would highly recommend this entertaining show for any adult who has been through dating or relationship angsts. This show is definitely Rated R for RAUNCHY! See it if you want to laugh your A** off! Last day of show is June 21, HURRY!
