I don't know much about moonshine but it was delicious! I also got the rebellion burger and it was epic. Everything cooked perfectly. We booked in the opentable app and didn't have to wait for a table (I suggest this because this place is hoppin') Server Audry was super cool, and the manager Victoria was a great hostess. This place has a chill atmosphere with great drinks and good food. Their shepherd's pie is my favorite by far but their drinks are super flavorful and inventive too. Good service and good food make this place one of my favorite destinations. read more

My review is how my issue was handled last night. We came in last night a little before 8pm. We waited about 10 min for a table not bad. Well we sat down our waiter was very nice and attentive. Well after about 5 min of sitting down my husband was was like is there something on my back or what something keeps poking me. Well the vent above is leaking on to his spot (even a small puddle on the ground) no biggie he just moved to the other side. Not even a min I feel it on my my chair (I'm guessing the ac system turned off/on) so I ask some male walking around can we move a table over that was unoccupied because of this. He stated "oh we have a wait, let your server know to put you on the list" like what. Umm no. So I go up to the hostess stand a man in the front dark blue shirt ask if he can help I told him the same thing. He states the same. Well we have a wait, like ok I waited for my table I'm not eating at my table that is unsanitary. And I know social distancing is over becuase almost all tables were full. So I come back to my table and tell the server and he was like oh ok. Let me clean that table real quick and we can move over. If it wasn't for my server and how he handled the situation last night I'm sure this would have ended worse. I sure you wouldn't want your family or yourself eating on a table where the the ac unit above is dripping water (I'm hoping it was just water) onto your back. read more

Really neat experience! Great food! Avacado bomb was great, Mussels were great and so was pulled pork sand which ! Kids loved the chicken tenders! The education Jennifer gave us on the origin of the food and moonshine was awesome! The jalapeño infused berry martini was delicious! I forgot what it's called. I love this place. The Serious Queso is seriously delicious. I like how all of their cocktails have moonshine in them, it's unique and I've been satisfied with all of the drinks I've tried! The servers are always super friendly, I've never had to wait long to get a table or food, and the overall atmosphere is great! The reasons it's not 5 stars: It's a little pricey. We came here as a party of 6 were recommended the Shake it Up combo full lb for a appetizer. Were not disappointed. At what comes out to be $4.50 PP it is a great buy. Don't pass that one up even for parties of 4. With the white bean hummus added as an additional.. was one of the best to complement the combo. I too, found out that a special order, as we had some vegetarian's was no problem. Mash's has yummy food and (usually) excellent customer service. Any time anything has gone wrong with my experience a manager has gone out of his or her way to make up for it. Last week we had a yummy brunch and I ordered the chicken with biscuits - extremely tasty! My husband tried Korean bbq tacos and loved them. Their mimosas are cheap and not very alcoholic (perfect for having multiple during brunch lol). Look forward to coming back! read more

Spent my birthday here and invited quite a bit of people nobody truly loved the food they received besides the meatloaf if you're here try the meat loaf it was AMAZING. We visited Mash'D on Saturday night and had an excellent experience. Our waiter (Alex -male....apparently they have a few Alex's there!) was outstanding. He helped us through menu and was very attentive. We ordered a couple of drinks off their cocktail menu and they were both top-notch. We ordered a "Pot of Goat" which is cup of goat cheese with raspberry chipotle sauce that you dip bread and apple slices into. "Yum" is an understatement. We then had a 1/2 lb of shrimp that comes to you in a sealed bag that when opened reminds you of a shrimp boil. The butter and spices on the shrimp, potatoes and roasted corn were delicious. Alex brought me out one of their desserts Chocolate Pot De Creme. We're talking Brazilian dark cocoa custard with hazelnut butter and marshmallow whipped cream. Geez that was good! We asked Alex if they would be showing the Houston Texan's game the next day and he assured me they would because he's a huge Texan's fan! We made reservations for noon and were promptly seated when we arrived. We had some great bloody marys and two excellent brunch entrees. Again....the food was excellent and our server was very attentive. We're looking forward to trying this place again the next time we're in San Antonio. read more

I live in Fort Worth and I've always wanted to visit a Mash'D location, so while on a work trip I had an opportunity to visit the Rim location for a carry out. I had no idea what to order, but the bartender who helped me (and I apologize that I can't recall his name) gave me great suggestions. I ordered the sriracha garlic wings and pho-Ken soup per his suggestion and I'm so glad I did. Both were delicious! The pho was such a large portion I was able to eat it for dinner tonight and it was STILL great! If you like spicy soup, that's what you want. My order was completed quickly and as I stated, the bartender was super attentive and really helpful. When I return for work again (which happens pretty frequently), I will definitely visit again every time. I really wish I remembered his name though because he deserves the recognition for his patience and great service. read more

I want sooooo badly to give this place 5 stars... but.... the music was soooooo loud! Way tooooo loud! We couldn't talk or hear the waitress. That out of the way... I am willing to get ear plugs and dig into that chorizo queso and then hit me with the meatloaf!!! Yum allll the way!!! The kicker, we NEVER do dessert, but the waitress sold me. Ummm, best ever! My new favorite brunch spot ! I LOVE brunch and this place does it for me. Our first visit we only waited about 20 mins , my second visit I waited an hour and a half & ended up going some where else.. this time around I made a reservation and waited no time at all. The chicken and biscuits are delicious (order the gravy on the side) go avoid soggy ness . The French toast is amazing ! The cream cheese butter is awesome. 4/5 because of my one bad experience. This restaurant was recommended to us by two different family members, so we were really expecting something special. The best part was the moonshine flights, which we really enjoyed. The mix drinks were just OK, as was the food. The shrimp and crab volcano was overpowered by the sauce that they use on it, which is sour and sweet at the same time. The salmon sandwich was cooked well, but the portion size wasn't large enough for a dinner portion. *parking can be a bit tricky as the rim gets pretty crowded. read more

I ordered the meatloaf (half order) with mashed potatoes and a Cesar salad. Now, I LOVE fresh ground pepper, but The Cesar dressing was POWERFUL with it and my mom couldn't eat the Cesar bc of it. I was almost overwhelmed too. Meatloaf was large, fresh and well seasoned, But I didn't enjoy the extra large croutons/bread chunks in it. One of my new favorites! I loved the ambiance and the food was great (and reasonably priced). I like to eat a little cleaner when possible. We went for brunch and enjoyed the $2 mimosas and I had the mash'd eggsplosion, which I would definitely recommend. My boyfriend got the steak omelette which he said was good, but not great. I went to mash'd for the first time yesterday and have a mixed feel on it. I have heard plenty of good things about it so I decided I'd give it a try. As far as service goes, my server was great and really tried to keep me happy when he was put in a tough spot for something that was out of his control. So thank you for that. Upon arriving he informed us about the new happy hour that is 1/2 off the price of any drink. I ordered a beer but my server returned saying they were out of it, so I chose another beer... and they were out of that one too. So I ordered their house frozen sangria. And unfortunately, I didn't like it. I let him know I didn't like it and he apologized several times for not having what I want. Then brought me a complimentary pineapple bomb. (Which I also didn't like but at that point felt bad to say it). We ordered the shrimp and crab volcano appetizer which was a little sweet, but with some lemon tasted great. We ordered a half pound of the shrimp and half pound of the crab and shared the combo. This is where I felt much better. The combo came with sausage, corn, broccoli, and the two proteins.The crab was great and rich in flavor. The shrimp was also great in taste. All the other side compliment foods were also good. So over all I'll give it a 4 star. I'll try this place probably one more time and decide from my next experience whether or not I'd return. read more

I've heard great reviews from friends and co-workers about this restaurant. I've tried to have dinner here in the past, but the wait was extremely long. I was excited to finally eat here. My boyfriend ordered guacamole and chips to start. I wasn't sure what to think when pineapples was listed in the ingredients, but the fruit gave it a nice unexpected twist. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the fried chicken. The food eventually arrived, and it looked delicious! The chicken was yummy, especially with the side of jalapeno marmalade. I noticed a distinct taste (cheese???) in the mashed potatoes, so I stopped eating it. When our server came back around, I asked her about the mashed potatoes. I am lactose intolerant, and this was one of the few plates that didn't list some form of dairy in its ingredients. She apologized when she came back with an answer. Turns out the potatoes have cheese mixed in. She offered a different side, so I asked for fries. She took my plate so she could bring back a hot fresh plate of chicken to go with the fries. Unfortunately, a few moments later she returned with bad news (for me) that the batter has buttermilk in it. I was given a menu, so I could pick a different entree. I was extremely disappointed as I had my heart set on the fried chicken. I decided to not order anything else. The manager came around to our table. I was not mad at all with my experience, but he still provided me a certificate for a return visit. I will definitely be back to try something with no lactose. I would suggest to the person in charge of the menu to include a description for the fried chicken and mashd tators. I could have had a much better experience had the menu indicated the food included cheese and buttermilk. I would never have ordered this entree had I known. read more

Nice atmosphere and great crowd. Drinks were overpriced to be just mediocre. I had the fried Pepperoni Rolls and wings to start. The pepperoni to breading/batter ratio was off. The dough was too thick for the little bit of pepperoni that was stuffed in there. The gravy dipping sauce was good but not for these rolls. Gravy + pepperoni = just NO! The sirachi-garlic wings were decent as well as the moonshine bbq, but nothing to rant and rave about. For the entree I had the chicken sandwich, needless to say I would take Chick Fil A over this one. The chicken breast was too flat for all that bread, so essentially it tasted like I was eating a coleslaw sandwich with a little bit of chicken. The fries were good though, but it took an act of God to get some regular ketchup. Whatever dipping sauce came with the entree was terrible. One of the great places to eat at the Rim. They had a great menu and lots to choose from even super healthy foods. You have the burgers to the super salads so there's a wide variety. The drink selection is also a wide variety with all the choices of moonshine and beers. They do also have wines and cocktails as well. The blue moon mojito was so good! Not too sweet, definitely enough alcohol so delicious. My water cup however did have lips on the cup when delivered. We did have to send a few glasses of water back because those in my party had that happen as well. Other than that the service was quick and the server was really nice. I ordered an appetizer as my meal and that was a perfect size to eat alone. The cheesy corn and spinach dip. It was super cheesy and so delicious especially with the tortilla chips. Parking isn't great up front you will probably have to park in the garage or behind the restaurant. Chill place to go with friends, would go there again just watch your glasses. read more

Hmmmm... this was my first time here. While I adore the ambiance and decor however the food didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered the carafe of peach mimosa and the southern egg fry. The mimosa was strong however I didn't taste any peach flavor in the mimosa what so ever and the southern egg fry was really salty. When I got home my mouth was really dry from the salt overload. I will definitely give it a second try and order something else next time. read more
