I wrote a complaint review because of miscommunication and misunderstandings, but the issue was resolved to my satisfaction

As such, wearing clothes that fit you well and represent your personal style is a must. I chose Richards Bespoke to make a suit for my wedding in Spain and they didn't disappoint. I was impressed by the time and attention that was taken to measure me, as correct measurements result in a well fitted suit. Equally, the available fabric selections covers a wide range of colors and textures. There is something for everyone at Richards Bespoke. I was most impressed with Stephen Richards and his desire to provide a memorable experience and a satisfied customer. He listened to my desires and offered suggestions that helped shape my final decisions on fabric, fit, etc. In the end, I received a wonderful bespoke suit and Richards Bespoke has a new customer. I will be back for more items to enhance my wardrobe.

Everything I've ordered from him fits perfectly and looks amazing. Not only are the suits fantastic, but Stephen goes the extra mile to accommodate his customers. For my first order, he drove to Mississippi to get my measurements; for my second order, he texted tons of pictures of fabrics, liners, and button options and walked through the entire process remotely. Couldn't ask for better customer service.

Jeff and Corey are both phenomenal individuals with whom to work here. They are very professional…read moreand concise in their thoughts and do not deter from working with all types of clients. As an everyday person, they made me feel welcomed just as much as they did for what I'd consider their upper echelon of clientele. This is a high-end alterations establishment, and when I needed to get a dress altered for my grandmother's funeral this weekend, they were willing to take on the job despite my being rejected by several other alteration establishments before, as it is wedding season and a lot of alteration places are weeks and even months into working with other people's garments for altering. I did pay dearly for it, but if something had to be fixed on the dress, they did so. I had to return after they turned it around in one day to get the initial dress completely finished, but still time to spare for this weekend. When you go to get alterations, you want to feel valued, welcomed and heard. I felt all of these things when I was here. They set a high bar for customer service. Jeff, the owner, mentioned working with the same seamstress for 38 years! That is wonderful. Jeff also does pet paintings and has various ties, libation recipe books, and other miscellaneous items for sale. I bought a libation recipe book for my husband, and he was really appreciative of it. I look forward to working with Jeff and Corey again on more alterations that need to be completed. You can't get better than here at Stitch-It Alterations.

I thought GREAT now I don't have to take the time to do it myself, even though I am able. Stopped in and a clerk greeted me with a blase (at best) attitude and I told him I just wanted to hem them to a specific inseam measurement and he became quite condescending and argumentative about that stating emphatically they would not be right and that he would not guarantee his work. I was taken aback by his rude and arrogant treatment of customers. Now, I know that hemming is little more than a time consuming task - it'll take me a couple of hours to do a superior job - but it's not difficult even if you do an invisible hem. So I left with my new slacks to hem at home since I CAN guarantee my own quality workmanship. Once I got in the car I remembered that the last time I had patronized that business was at least two decades ago when I ordered two custom mens business shirts for my husband as a Christmas present. They weren't inexpensive. But when they arrived they were very undersized and did not fit even though Stitch It staff had measured for the shirts in house. They acted then much like they acted today that they really wouldn't stand by the quality of their work. Glad I got a free reminder of what kind of business this is this time instead of having wasted money on un-wearable shirts. What a shame to be so miserable in your own skin that you have to go out of your way to make your customers feel uncomfortable and unappreciated.

Karen was nice but she over filled her schedule. She DID NOT COMPLETE the alterations she promised…read moreso I paid $700 for her to take in one side of the wedding dress and hem it. She was supposed to fix the bra cups but ran out of time and had to cut another client's time in half in order to fit me in TWO DAYS BEFORE my wedding. She gave me a bunch of tape and ON MY WEDDING DAY I HAD TO TAPE MY DRESS TO MYSELF 3 timeS throughout the day. The It almost ruined my wedding day to be honest. Please do not accept clients if you do not have the time to do the appropriate alterations.

Karen was always very pleasant and we were so happy with our first appointment but it went downhill from there. Karen takes the measurements and does the pinning and then dictates directions into her phone to be done by her staff. That is where the disconnect comes in. Karen is not doing the majority of the work and you may have someone working on it who she is training. She is also not following up checking the work done. It is fair to say the work looked shoddy. Basically, almost everything that was done was done incorrectly. We brought the dress in 4 months early because we made it clear we wanted the dress at least 2 weeks before the wedding. Fittings were incorrect, appointments canceled and delayed. She took the joy out of having a dream wedding dress experience. Truly was a nightmare. They basically had to redo all the shoddy work the last appointment which was less than 48 hours to the wedding. To name a few of the errors: waist taken in too tight, zipper and hook in the back put back so it was sticking out exposed for all to see where before it was seamless, random threads everywhere, scrunched up siding that should be smooth, the bustle was 100% wrong and not what we discussed and straps were not adjusting correctly as we discussed. Meanwhile we missed dinner with out of town family guests because we had to wait for this dress for 4 hours and retry it on again with more corrections! The had 4 months to work on the dress and practically had to redo everything in the last 48 hours and acted as if they were doing us a favor by working late to finish it. The bustle did not stay up for the wedding. The buttons were sewn on loose and the snaps for the under layers did not stay snapped. My daughter had to go into the bathroom 3 times to literally sew the dress together. Disappointment is an understatement and I would NEVER recommend taking any dress there for alterations. I also feel we should get a refund for the almost $900 she charged but I am certain that won't happen since it was already paid in full.
