They were ok. I"m glad this company was able to help other "Yelpers". I was not one of them. This was my experience: Pros: 1) They cut down the tree that I've asked. The job was completed. 2) Due to the tree being close to my fence and house, they were able to remove the tree without any damages. 3) Communication was ongoing. They've used email, phone, and text. It's not to hard to get a hold of them. Cons: Will be brief. I promise. 1) They asked for full payment before services was rendered. Strange, but I complied. 2) Took much longer than expected. It took them 4 days to remove a single tree. 3) Yes, they were able to remove the bulk of debris. There are still twigs, leaves, and wood chips that was not removed. I've dealt with contractors before. They come out to my house and provided a quote. A plan is drawn out. Details and estimated costs are provided. Usually these things are executed in a single day. They arrived within the time window they said they would and were quick and friendly taking away the treadmill. Whole thing took maybe 15 minutes. They do more than junk removal but what I've seen is great quality and worth the money. Will do business again. read more

This company doesn't seem interested in your business. When I seek out a company to do a job, I don't expect to have to stalk them down to get an answer and I refuse to. I want a company who wants my business and is anxious to complete the work I need done , not a company that makes me feel like I'm bugging them. This wasn't the company for me and if you want a company wHo takes your business seriously then this won't be the company for you either . If I want to pay someone to do something for me, I shouldn't have to beg or stalk them to do it like I felt I had to do with this company. read more

Great people with determinations and enthusiasm. I had a pleasure working with Johnny and his team on my yard landscaping project. His fastest response gained my attention and won my business "bid". He went to my yard for surveying and quotation. We agreed on stating with one of my target areas in my yard, in which I would never touch if they did not help with the change. Eventually, the weather turned out to be a good day, and they came to my house on the scheduled date with their equipment and knowledge. Johnny and his team worked efficiently and clearly communicate how and what they would complete the landscaping project. Johnny responded to my request fast on Yelp and came out the next day for an estimation. They did great job on trimming of all my 32 trees, and they check with me frequently to ensure they do it the right way. They have completed the job exactly as what I expected. He has great passion and care customer satisfaction. I would recommend them. I gave 4 stars as I think they can do better job in the notifying customers when they could not make it on the scheduled date. Jonny apologized for it . The owner of the company promised a crew member would be right out to give us an estimate. However, after waiting over two hours, I wrote him back to make sure his crew members were alright considering they never came out. He apologized and then without letting me know he himself was coming out, showed up at our house at night four hours later with his wife. They both spoke with my husband, and I overheard my husband saying it's too dark to see the yard in order to give a proper estimate of costs. I have had to contact the owner on numerous occasions since beginning this entire process the day before. I feel like I've been chasing him and I feel like as a potential client of his, I should not have to be doing that. A simple text or phone call or email would've sufficed from him. However when he told my husband the night before that he would be out himself between 10:30 and 11 AM the next day, he never showed. No phone call or text to my husband or myself. Very bad business practices. I do not recommend a company who seems to not care about potential clients. And does not get back to them in a timely manner. If they were running late, a courtesy phone call or courtesy text would've been good enough to let us know that he was going to be late. But we never heard anything from him. Great service! I used Hathaway's to remove some tree limbs that were touching my house. The quote was very reasonable and the job was done very well. I'd recommend them and use them again. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that communication wasn't the best. They started the job late one evening and left without informing me because it got dark. Then came back the next day to finish. Mr. Hathaway gave me a great quote to cut down our tree, but it turned out too good to be true. He and another person worked on the tree on and off for roughly 3 days, although schedule discussions and follow-up conversations only occurred when I called him. He would often leave for many hours during the day. One day he asked for half the cash so he could pay for his rentals, then did not return for over a week. My wife ended up getting the large limbs off our roof and sawed some of the larger logs in the pile he left on our and our neighbor's side yard. When I called him again to clarify if he was intending to finish the job, he stated he was and that he did not lie to clients. He showed up the next day for approximately 3 hours taking away half of the limbs, then said he'd be back, and didn't return. His wife called 3 days later saying they'd come back by and keep clearing the limbs. They did not return, and have not been back or contacted me in over a week. The tree is still standing, and large limbs are still left on the side of our yard and neighbor's yard. read more
