They have various party trays which include combinations of rolls, sushi, and sashimi. Party trays also come with miso soup. They have an excellent variety of rolls to choose from. If your party tray comes with regular rolls or special rolls, you can choose the ones that you want. They also have lunch specials until 4 PM every day. My favorite roll here is their spicy salmon which I think they make the best out of any sushi restaurant. Many people also order their oysters, either raw or baked, as an appetizer. Both are delicious. Service: Service is wonderful here. The place is run by a husband and wife who are friendly and very attentive. Ambiance: The restaurant does many takeout orders, but they do have a very small dining space with about three tables. Tables can be combined for a larger party, but the restaurant can probably hold 12 people at the most. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant whether you do takeout or dine in.

The ambiance: Although this place is only takeout and you can no longer sit in (since they stopped it because of covid), the sushi quality is on point. The sushi rice is great I love how sticky it is with the flavor of the rice vinegar and sesame seeds. The avocado is always ripe, never hard and the salmon is fatty and smooth I love it. Especially when it comes with the miso soup, the soup is hearty and warm and has an amazing umami flavor I take my sushi really seriously!! This place is my go to since it's close and such a good price!

You order one thing and it shows up like you accidentally ordered for two people. Food-wise, it's fresh and solid. Not fancy, not trying to be some cute Brooklyn "concept," it's just good everyday food that actually tastes like it was made right. I've never had anything that blew my mind, but I also haven't had anything disappointing either, which honestly is kind of the dream for a regular go-to place. Service is usually pretty quick and friendly. It's not like white-glove or super warm and fuzzy, but they're nice, they hustle, and you're not sitting there forever wondering if they forgot you. And the vibe inside is exactly what you'd expect, simple, chill, nothing "wow" about the ambiance, but it's clean and totally fine. It feels more like a takeout spot than a place you're going to hang out for two hours. Overall... great value, lots of food, solid and fresh, perfect for everyday.

I do still like omiya and esushi better though, omiya has better sesame seeds smoked flavor but this was pretty solid! A safe sushi spot choice! There're a lot of various Asian fusion restaurants that serve sushi in the Sheepshead Bay area but…read moremost of them sell affordable but low quality sushi made of frozen, not fresh fish and other cheap ingredients so despite large quantity of such places, it's really difficult to find one that would offer delicious, first rate sushi and seafood products. Hayashi opened up many years ago and still seem to maintain a great reputation by serving delectable sushi made out of premium quality ingredients and other staple Japanese and Asian dishes such as hibachi, pad thai, donburi-delicious Japanese rice bowl dish consisting of either fish or meat, various veggies, steamed together and served with savory sauces. My personal favorite is Unagi don-steamed white seasoned rice topped with grilled fillets of eel covered by a sweetened soy based sauce and garnished with Japanese style pickled vegetables that compliment the sweet, slightly smoky flavor of the fish and add an interesting crunchy texture to the whole dish. Anyways tonight we ordered Sushi Pizza and it was true flavor and taste explosion-perfect combination of grilled eel, avocado, masago, cream cheese served on a scrumptious, crispy pancake and covered with a few different sauces. 10 out of 10-delicious, filling, portion big enough to share and very satisfying. Spicy Salmon tartar definitely didn't disappoint as it was made with the very fresh chopped salmon, mixed with an amazing spicy mayo type of sauce and addition of masago caviar plus quail egg perfectly married all the flavors and textures-10 out of 10, spectacular, definitely will order again. Hayashi salad had a combo of 4 different salads in 1-kani, spicy tuna, fried salmon skin and a seaweed, was served on the bed of avocado and overall tasted great except for 1 minus-mediocre quality of a fried salmon skin which wasn't consistent, some pieces were deliciously crunchy and very tasty while others were overly dry and practically impossible to chew- 7 out of 10, they definitely need to work on improving the quality of salmon skins. Finally we wanted to try a Hibachi style noodles and it was great-yummy, not oily or greasy, full of that unique hibachi flavor, had perfect veggie to noodles ratio and was generously sized. Overall very satisfying dinner experience, fabulous raw fish and seafood dishes, delicious noodles, definitely recommend Hayashi to everyone as they have a vast menu which would satisfy any craving or dietary preference.
