A parasite upon humanity. I had left my motorcycle parked for a few weeks without checking in on it. When I did I found it had been towed. I tracked down Mary's Towing as the company. They informed me that I owed them $900. That's $150 for the tow (of a few miles), and $50 per day for my little motorcycle to sit in their lot. No other place on the planet charges so much for a car to sit, in fact, in downtown seattle if you don't pay for parking in a lot, the fine is only $35/day. I discovered this around 3pm while I was at work, so asked if I could pick it up after work at 6. They said yes, but because it would be after 5 they'd charge me for another day ($50), and an "after hours pickup" (even though they are still open at that time, and live upstairs anyway) which was about another $50. Still in shock, I asked what would happen if I just let them keep the motorcycle, which I'd bough for only $600. They said they'd continue to charge me the daily fee for "a while", then sell the motorcycle at auction and send the difference to collection. That's right, they steal your motorcycle, and then send over $1000 to collection. I might add that during the weeks they had it, they of course made no attempt to contact me, why would they if they're making $50 a day. So, left without options I left work early, went there and paid their absurd charges. read more

This people are the worst it was charged you a ridiculous amount of money even if your car has not been with them more than one hour they would charge you approximately $150 just for taking your car and having it for less than one hour . they took my vehicle and left emergency brake on not my car is having problems not the most caring people in the world employees there are really rude read more

Super rude was calling to ask some questions.. Was quickly dismissed so off to the next tow company to see how they are I guess ..

Amazing staff and very friendly especially your Driver Ralph, will keep you in mind for any towing/roadside assistance. Merry Christmas!

Would give these POS's a 0 star if I could. Towed my car from my parking spot after I spent all day in the hospital, i asked them to drop the car in exchange for a drop free. I told them I would pay them to drop it and they started cussing me out and harassing me, called me a nigger bitch. Calling my attorney in the morning read more

They towed my son's car as he had parked in a resident spot at our condo thinking it was still a visitor spot. It had been changed to accommodate a resident, and he just didn't pay attention to the new sign. Clearly his fault. He and I stood in the parking lot right around the corner from where he had parked. We talked for about 20 minutes. Went back to where he parked, car was gone. Twenty minutes. The resident was parking his car in the spot, I asked him if he had seen my son's car, he points to a Mary's towing sign and walks away. So I knew what had happened and I got on him for parking where he did. Again, his fault. Mary's towing is less than 1 mile from where it was towed. I would guess no more than 10 minutes had passed from the time we discovered the car gone, to the time we arrived in the office at Mary's towing. We stood in the office being ignored for approximately 15 minutes. There was a large man seated at a desk doing paperwork, several other guys milling about in their lobby and office area. I had said out loud more than once, "Is there anyone here that can help us pick up a car?" No one said a word to us, just looked at us like we were stupid. So I tell my son out loud that maybe we should just go get the car ourselves. It was only then we got some life out of the fella at the desk. His response went something like, "Go ahead, you can either get bitten by the dog or shot." I asked him if we could please just get my son's car. He writes up a bill for almost $460. I look at him and ask him why $460 for a car they towed half a mile about half hour ago? Now keep in mind we have now been there almost 20 minutes. He tells me the car has been on the lot "since this morning". I told him that wasn't true that they had just picked it up half hour ago. He asks me "Do you want the car or not". I asked him if he would consider giving us a break on the bill since it was only half a mile and maybe half hour on the lot. He replied "No". So I pay the $460. I look at the paperwork to discover he had written on the paperwork it had been on the lot since that morning. Then my son gets his car and discovers wires hanging down under the steering column, the glove box was open and it had been gone through. He tells me he had some cash in the glove box which was gone and some misc other items that were no longer there. I told my son to chock it up to experience and pay more attention next time to where he was parking. That being said, it does not give these men the right to extort money from people and steal personal belongings from the vehicles they tow. And regarding the wiring hanging down under the steering column - Any tow truck that would have towed his car would have had to have driven right by us where we stood in the parking lot. So no tow truck? I wonder how they moved the car then? read more

Beware! Owner is Rude, lacks any empathy and is packing her pocket book from innocent people. I forfeited / Sold my 1995 Toyota Camry to City Wide Towing located at: 810 S. Monroe St. Stockton, CA 95206 On December 13, 2014. The Fee charged from the Tow Company was $185.00 for what the called a title transfer. They signed my receipt and told me they take care of the title transfer. I completed my "Release of Liability" which is required in the State of California , and mailed it off to the DMV in Sacramento, CA I had not received any correspondence regarding this car until Mary;s Towing, Located in Washington , sent me a letter in September of 2016, stating the car is in her possession and that I am legally responsible for this vehicle. The Letter threatens me with over $2,000 in charges and collections. I have no clue as to how or who took this vehicle to Washington since I had no ownership or rights to this vehicle. I tried calling Mary ( The Owner ) and explaining on Numerous occasions, that I may be the "Last Registered " person of the vehicle but if she looked closer at the actual DMV printout: It clearly states that I completed my obligation and had filed the "Release of Liability" in 2014: Which mean in Lament Terms: I am not responsible for this vehicle since December of 2014 She refused to call me back when I left more than 6 messages for her: She acted like she was an employee this last call i attempted to make ( Because she didn't want to take my call ) until the Monster came out in her and she started screaming and yelling at me when I told her she needed to check the DMV Report , along with the copy of the Receipt given to me from the Tow Company who I sold the vehicle to years ago. She refused to listen, She refused my "Proof" of Non Ownership Mary is very unprofessional, rude and completely lacks empathy for anyone but her pocket book. After reviewing her other online reviews, apparently I am not the only person who feels this way. read more

A bunch of cons, charged a 95 dollar after hour pick up fee, when the car had only been in the impound for 3 hours. No military grace, could not bargain that some people aren't able to pick their vehicles up the next day due to work. Also will not show you the pictures of the tow unless you go to court and spend more money on court costs. read more

Our expierence with Mary's Towing was actually great. Our insurance company set us up with them and they showed up promptly, friendly and even helped us push the car out of the parking spot. I'm a disabled military veteran. I broke my back and ruptured an ear drum serving 6 years in search and rescue operations. I had a 10 hour shift at my place of work where I help sick and sometimes dying people all day. I came home exhausted and forgot to put my handicap sign up. I never miss a beat except for that night. Mary's towed me & when I politely explained my circumstances they refused to budge or provide any help or support. I walked in with my husband who is active duty in uniform. They had the audacity to share how they support active duty and veteran military while I'm handing my credit card over to be charged $315 for a human margin of error where no other people were effected except me. I missed 3 hours of paid work for these people. Lazy and disrespectful are two perfect words to describe the people who work here. read more

This place is horrible.!! For anyone who goes here make sure to check your car first. They scratched our car and didn't take responsibility for the damage they did. One of the employees even acted very immature. WORST towing company in the face of the EARTH !!! read more

Worst tow truck company ever experienced. Granted dealing with a tow truck service is obviously never ideal and never your choice. I made contact with the tow driver while my vehicle was being loaded onto the truck and asked the driver if I could just pay for it now instead of having it driven to the tow yard like some tow companies allow (to save time, hassle for both of us, and potentially money on my end). He said it was policy to deliver to the yard (most likely to just charge me more fees). Asked where their location was and that I was going to meet him there then. Was told the paperwork would take 10 minutes, took 25. They added "after hour charges" because it was a Sunday even though there were 3 drivers standing around eating so clearly it wasn't an inconvenience, as well as a "1/2 day storage" fee even though I was at the tow yard the same time my truck arrived? And total time there including paperwork was maybe 30 minutes. Nothing but illogical and indisputable fees here. Even if you just need a battery jump or lock out don't give them your business read more

Literally the worst. Definitely among reviewers who wish I could give negative stars to this "towing company." They had one job. The operator was rude, immature, and repeated themselves like a broken record, stating that the company won't do their job. According to them, they were requested not to tow anyone for two weeks from the complex. This would make sense during working hours, since the complex is being re-roofed. However, there is clearly no roofing construction happening at 10:30PM on a Friday night. Due to this company's lack of work ethic, common sense, and inability to communicate clearly, I was left without access to my paid parking. Beyond that, this situation could have put my safety at risk. Luckily a visitor space opened up after 30 minutes (the lot was full). Otherwise, I would've been left to search for street parking blocks from my home, in a poorly lit area of a densely populated city, in the middle of the night - Not a situation most women actively choose to put themselves in. read more

Garbage. Their prices are INSANE & they have no self respect. They'll be rude and awful and then when their victims have had enough they'll use that as evidence to invalidate low reviews. Second time I have used this company and will continue using it anytime I need a cheap tow with amazing service. Not only did he get my truck down to the shop for under $100 he waited with me a good 20-30 minutes while waiting for shop to open. Excellent service! Thank u! read more

This business is the worse. They are cheaters and liars. They tow your vehicle and over charge you. I have never seen a company lie and are rude. We all know when a car gets towed a mistake happen and the person has to pay. but they took the car and we followed them when we got there they charges about $500. The NYPD or LAPD two of the largest cities tow pound do not even charge that much for a tow that was in the yard for less than 30 min. A law needs to be made against their fees and charging. They make up the amounts as they go and do as they feel. its not like i entered a contract with them that i knew what their fees were but to charge more than the city towing, better yet the largest city's towing in the US is ridiculous. it is cheaper for me to leave my car in the middle of time square and my car get towed than for Mary's towing to tow my car. read more

I am one to never write a bad review no matter the situation but I had a very rude experience with this towing company with unacceptable behavior from both the employee and manager who towed my car. They towed my car on Easter and during the corona virus pandemic making racist remarks who I being a person of Asian descent found offensive and inappropriate. These people aren't empathetic and simply want to take your money. It's one thing to follow your job but to be rude and act xenophobic is not professional or okay. I decided to pick up my car thirty minutes after being towed not wanting to give any more money than I had to to this business and saw the employees light up with glee getting phone calls to tow other cars this day. These people do not care that there's a pandemic going on and is not empathetic that people do not have the money to pay $400 for parking in their own driveway. I will not support this business and will tell others to not support them as well. I hope they learn from this and act courteous towards other because this is unacceptable. read more

Should change their name to Mary's scam yard. They stole my car from my apartment complex and since they are the tow company affiliated with my complex I called them first, which they responded "We haven't towed anything from that property since April 10th, sorry we don't have your car". (It was Saturday April 28th). Called the cops and reported my car stolen. Guess where they found my car? At MARYS TOW YARD. I go pick it up and they said it will cost me $490 to pick it up today since they were closed when there were 3 men sitting at the desk with the open sign lit up or tomorrow will cost me $360. Of course I opted to pick it up tomorrow. THEN they called me and said "sorry we mis quoted you the price it will be $500 tomorrow". After hours and endless phone calls also missing a day of work since I had no car, they agreed to the original $360 quote. As I'm in the office the NASTY office lady Tamara gives the paperwork all upset that we got the price lowered, but then picks up the phone and tells another customer it would be $360 for 3 days after taxes and fees. This has got to be the worst business I've ever dealt with in my life, so much so that I had to make a YELP account and warn everyone about them. I will be filing a suit with small claims court and I encourage everyone else that has been ripped off to do the same. 0 customer service or interpersonal skills AVOID AT ALL COSTS (if you can afford any costs when they're through with you) read more

Garbage people. I had a car towed that was still under my name but I had sold it without knowing I had to do a bill of sale or anything, it was my first car and I had owned it for a couple months and was alone when I sold it and was clueless and yes I know I'm an idiot. They said I had owed up to $2200 because the car was still under my name and it was wrecked as well so there was no point in taking it back. They said I had to pay the full bill but what they don't tell you is that once a car goes to auction , even if the car gets sold for $1 all you have to pay is $550 and that's it. It's the law. They made it seem like the $2200 was my only option until I told them about the law and they had a look on there face as if they got caught red handed lmao. That being said these people are scums and have no heart or soul. I was young and broke and they could see how desperate I was to make things right and they couldn't even tell me about the $550. Instead they tried to take my $2200... pure example of Everett trash. :) read more

They've got you by the balls... they know it... and they act like it. Getting their attention so you can get help is difficult at best. They don't greet you when you arrive and generally act like they think you'll just go away if they don't acknowledge you. Most tow yards I've been to operate a lot like this so I'm not really that surprised. But what really surprised me was that even when Mary is there they act the same, she actually ENABLES this behavior!?!?!? I mean I get that they have to deal with the worst of folks all day long, but sometimes an acknowledgement and smile can go a long way to preventing a already bad day from getting worse for somebody. Once I was able to get their attention the staff were friendly enough, at least once they figured out that I wasn't there to argue with them or give them a hard time... just to collect a few personal belongings from my car after an accident. Nothing appeared to be missing from my car, not even the money in the door. Overall, aside from the nasty attitude they all seem to have until they find out that you're not there to pick a fight and losing the key, it wasn't the worst tow yard I've been to. But it certainly wasn't the best either. read more

After the vehicle I was driving broke down at around 5:15 AM I called higher rated tow company told me to call back in a few hours, so I called Mary's. After dropping off the vehicle, he cut me a break for my troubles and offered to drop me off at work. I highly recommend Mary's. read more

The drivers here are awesome. The management, not so much. I was in an accident on a Friday night in a rainstorm. State patrol called them to tow my car, and as I was shaken up I forgot to grab a few things (garage door opener, toll pass, car charger). On Saturday i was still shaken up and sore, so didn't make it to the tow yard till Sunday to get the things out of my car. The guy behind the counter told me it would be $90 bucks to get those things from my car. ABSURD!! I am not asking to do anything more than grab 3 things that will fit in one hand and weigh a total of a half a pound. It seemed like the guy there felt i was asking him to go remove an engine and 4 wheels. Instead he just kept reiterating that it would be $90 no matter what. Then today the insurance company shows up to tow the vehicle to a body shop, and again these guys are a stick in the mud, saying they need my verbal approval to have it towed from there. When I called up the man on the end of the phone seemed like he had better things to do (sit around and watch paint dry maybe?) and was very rude for no reason at all. This is a complete and total scam company, and there needs to be regulation on them. I will be filing a BBB complaint with them, but I doubt they even care. This company is the worst. Thank God for a great insurance company that has made this experience so good. read more

Total rip off. My wife parked car last night in an emergency because there were absolutely no spots left for parking. Our 4 months baby was crying for milk. She came home, clean and feed the baby and told me to move the car as soon as I came (within 30 minutes). I went outside and our car was gone. Someone in neighbors called Mary's towing to take our car. I called Marys towing and went their right away with my wife. Our car was also offloading at that time. I requested to offload in front of their office and I will pay the charges but they purposely took the car inside the fences to charge impound fee. Here are the charges: $275 for towing, $95 after hours service at 7:30pm (business is 24 hours), $50 impound one day charge (Car just got there), $39 tax, Dont remember exact figure but they charge close to $475, what a shame to run this type of business by taking huge amount of people's hard earned money for one hour service. read more

Oh if I could give 0 stars I would. These guys are blood sucking money parasites. I got my car towed from my apartment complex because I didn't have a permit no one had even complained about it. Let's just say it's an $800 vehicle and needed new tabs and was not going to pass emissions. I just got the car from my father who have it to me for graduating high school. So I called the company and they are charging me $691?!?! Outrageous!! I then went into the place and told them they could have the car because I couldn't afford there price! They told me if I gave them it they would dock off $250 from 691!!! Are you kidding me?!?!? So I told them "fuck you and your incredibly high pricing and then said to keep the car cause we aren't paying a fucking dime for this bullshit." Try not to get towed from them they suck and need to be shut down. read more

The other reviewers are absolutely correct. Very rude and threatening tone. The tone and language used by the people there were threatening. When I arrived at Mary's, upon entering I was immediately greeted with a genuinely cheerful "Good Morning," which totally caught me off guard, but was a refreshing and very welcome change from all I had been dealing with in the prior 2 days, culminating in picking up a van, which I'd already decided was going to be as unpleasant as the past 2 days were. The 1 gal who greeted me, was Tamara, who was busy at her computer AND on the phone but still acknowledged and greeted me. Then, The other young lady, Rochelle, turned, also greeted me, followed with "I'll be with you in just a moment" and she was. I know that this must sound stupid to whoever reads this. To sound so blown away to be met with courtesy, and awesome customer service especially given the fact that is their job. In fact, that is 1st and foremost for anybody in any service where you deal with people! Let me tell you that it's really rare these days!!! These 2 ladies reminded me that there are still some really good, professional, helpful and kind individuals out there and I was fortunate enough to have encountered 2. Reading some of the posts about these hard working people is disgusting. Mary's Towing strives to have to most professional drivers in the industry. You will not find any other tow company that responds as fast as they do. People complain about fees... Well like any other business you have overhead, insurance, fuel, payroll, health insurance etc... It is your fault if you get impounded for parking where you shouldn't. Pay attention to the signs and warnings, or pay the fees and quit complaining. read more

Waited an hour and a half on I-5 only to have them cancel so we had to find someone else. Totally unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend.

I won't argue that my car didn't deserve to get towed. But Mary's Towing charge $457.00 for the two, I repeat TWO, hours that they had it. When I got there, they still were not done with paperwork. And what is worse is that you get the option to challenge their towing fee but it cost another $73 at a court house in Lynnwood, and not Everett where this place is. read more

Seeing some negative reviews on here, of course i didn't have to go to Mary's Towing to pick up my Towed/Stolen car which is never a good experience. A predatory business in the area. Not only has their daily storage fee increased from $55 to a disgustingly malicious $95 per day, this is regardless of vehicle size. I have been a customer previously, but will never use this business again. My husband was recently involved in a collision and thrown from his scooter with no recollection of the events. He woke up in an ambulance, with no way to determine where he was headed, had been, or where his private property had been carted off to. After he was released from the emergency room we were able to track down where the scooter was taken, the following day when they were open for business hours we called to verify that they had it, got the price (almost $400 to release it after being there 24 hrs) made sure we had the correct address, and assured them we would be in the office to get it before 5pm closing time. Since we had made multiple phone calls to verify information, it would have been quite easy for them to state that a picture i.d. would be needed to pick up the vehicle. No, all I got was an annoyed attitude when I asked where they were located. They husband was told if he didn't come get it "soon" they would auction it off. Of course they don't want to inform you in a helpful way when they monetarily benefit from withholding information. Arrived to pick up the scooter around 4:30pm, at that time we were told we would need a photo i.d., which the police still had (since he had been unconscious). Had no time to get home to get his passport and make it back to Everett Slumville in time before closing, and were told there would be an additional $95 fee to either pick it up after hours that day, or during business hours the next day. Since there is no state law in Washington capping the daily fee that they can charge, we were forced to make another trip the following day, with the husband suffering a major concussion, me having to take time off work another day to drive him there, paying over $500 dollars total to retrieve a 100 pound scooter that only took up 3 feet of space in their enormous and mostly empty impound lot. Thank you, Mary's Towing, for being a completely heartless, predatory, and inhuman company. I will never recommend this company to anyone that I know and I will certainly never again use them. read more

Literally made an account just to review these assholes. Basically every other review nails it. Bunch of Parasitical Scums. I can guaranty you they have 0 return customers. My car was hit by a drunk driver and the police called them to tow the car. I was getting my personal belongs out of the car when the driver 'Bob' showed up and rudely told me to get away. Would not let me get my stuff, told me would have to swing by and grab it. Talked to my insurance and they gave me the okay to get my belongs. I went there after work. They're doors were open and 'Bob' and some other lady way sitting there. Made no effort to say anything. I hello hello and let them know I needed my stuff from the car. He rudely told me I need to come back during business hours. They had been "Closed" for 10 mins. I could see my car 50 feet away from the office. I thought he was joking at first so I asked if 'Are you Serious' and his reply was "I'd have to charge you if you need it today". What a scum. I was charged over $300 for a 3 mile tow from an apartment complex in Mukilteo. Yes my car was parked in a place it shouldn't have been with towing signs posted (that I didn't see or know about but that is my fault and I understand that), and I have no problem with the fact my car was towed and I understand that has a cost. I went to pick up my car literally 10 minutes after it arrived at their lot and it was towed 3 MILES. That should not cost over $300. After calling them and threatening to report them to the better business bureau they lowered the cost to just over $100. They got straight up caught overcharging and trying to take advantage of their "customers" and if you get towed by Mary's I STRONGLY encourage you to do the same and if they don't lower your rate, report them. The owners of Mary's towing deserve to go to jail. period. Please don't deal with these people if there is any way you can avoid it. I can't say anything about the drivers because I didn't get that far. My truck got a flat tire while I was at work so I did a search for "Roadside Assistance" in Everett. Marys Towing was the first one in the list so I filled out a little form on the website that collected all my information. When I finished and submitted, it came back with a message "Thank You! We will contact you shortly. About an hour and a half went by and they had not called or emailed, so I called them. I was in no hurry because I was at work and would be there for several more hours anyway. I just told them that I was calling because I had not heard from them and it had been about an hour and a half. The lady fist told me that "we don't do that" when I told her that I filled out the roadside assistance form on the website. Then she put me on hold for some reason only to come back and say that the website says "all over" that you have to call because they don't check the website. That doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me but oh well, it really didn't matter to me because I had plenty of time. This lady was talking very rudely and trying to tell me things I knew were not true. it was completely unnecessary because I was fine, not upset at all. All she had to say was "oh, ok I can get someone out to help you". I usually wonder how places like this stay in business but in this case I know it is because they make most of their money by stealing people's cars and then holding them hostage while huge fines are compounding. You might have an ok experience with them if you are very lucky. I would highly recommend that you don't test it, the consequences could be severe. I went back to the website and looked very carefully, it doesn't say anything about needing to call them. read more
