If I could leave negative stars, I would. My husband gave an elderly homeless coworker a vehicle, out of the kindness of his heart, so that he didn't have to spend winter sleeping on the ground. Unfortunately, turns out the coworker is a drug addict. Long story short, he crashed the car right down the road from this towing company. You literally could have just pushed the car into the lot it was so close. The coworker lied and never transferred the title into his name. We have proof from the DOL that the car was in fact transferred out of my husband's name, however, he never entered the new owners name in. Immediately after my husband found out about the accident, my husband went to the DOL, gave them the name and got proper paperwork printed. He took the paperwork with proof that he is not the legal owner to the tow yard and the owner of whiteside towing basically said "not my problem, you still owe me $800 or the bill is going to keep going up." My husband paid it on a credit card. Money that we didn't have. Because he didn't know what else to do.. read more

Having witnessed his ethics firsthand i thought I'd pop over to this Yelp page, and looking through these reviews I'm not at all surprised. Whiteside towing used to be owned by an honorable vet and he left it to his kid to seemingly drive into the ground? I've seen when he got calls for help and he's in a bar playing pull tabs. He'd tell them he was really busy, and unavailable - then go back to pull tabs. Or, as he told me was his 'Secret tactic' when he's out with his girlfriend, he'll quote a really, really absurdly high price so that they just 'go away'. Honesty and integrity are a dying art. Unfortunately, in business too. (And yes, the reviews aren't wrong, he is very much a tremendous flirt. Just ignore it and get home quickly.) When you've been in an accident, or your car breaks down - just pray to God you're not interrupting pull tabs and you'll be alright. He'll get there when he gets there... Keep in mind though, he likes to photograph the accidents he tows and post them on his personal Facebook page with quips like "oops" or "who has been drinking?". When I was in an accident, it was terrible, and the last thing I needed was to be comic relief on somebody's social media! There's a lot of options out there, just know what you're (over)paying for. read more

Highway robbery. I got a car towed and the first day I tried to go take it out but the car wasn't in my name so I couldn't which is fine. I told them I was going to get the previous owner to sign over the car and I would pay the fine and get it out. They (whiteside) told the old owner that if he can't do that and he had to come down to get it out. Well $900 dollars later and no car for me. Terrible business. This kind of stuff should be illegal. Side note. I called 4 different tow companies to see if I could do what I was trying to and they all said yes. Whiteside you are LYING CROOKS. good thing you aren't in the business of customer service because you'd be out of a job. read more

Scams , said my car leaked oil everywhere, charged me 400$ for a tow , cleaning supplies and two hours. WTF. I would highly recommend a different company otherwise once they got your car your stuck with them screwing you for what ever they decided. I would give them a minus for stars if it was an option. This place is a total scam. They initially charged my son $546 to tow his VW Jetta less than two miles to our house after he slid on ice and damaged one of his wheels. After loading the car onto the truck, the driver said they had to wait for a sheriff, holding my son and his car hostage while running up the tow bill for an extra 30 minutes. No sheriff ever came (I doubt they even called) and they eventually just left. On the drive back, the driver complained about the fact that his truck doesn't have a functioning speedometer or tachometer, and he had to change gears "by ear". Once they got to our house the driver miscalculated the time on the invoice, charging him for 2 hours total even though the hours listed only added up to 1.5 hours, resulting in an additional $150 added to the total. The driver also miscalculated the sales tax and even misspelled the name of the city where he operates (Everett)... I spoke with a manager (Joe) and then the owner (Gene) this afternoon, and they have adjusted the charge to $262.50 plus tax (their minimum), which was appreciated but still way too high for a standard tow less than 2 miles. Their excuse was that the driver is new and not everyone is good with numbers and their rate is listed with the State of Washington... Shame on you Whiteside Towing for attempting to take advantage of a helpless kid and charge him double what you should have (which was already a ridiculous rate), a kid who had already been waiting over four hours for tow service in the cold and just wanted to get himself and his car safely home after an accident. Shame on you for risking the safety of my child and your driver by operating a commercial vehicle without functioning dashboard controls while driving back to our house on dangerous icy roads. I would recommend only calling Whiteside Towing if you like being overcharged and dealing with unethical business practices. read more

Five stars! These guys were awesome. While most of them were paying tribute to a well respected tow driver one of their employees came out to us and went above and be on towing us to a safe place without charge! As soon as they were available they sent out the heavy-duty tow truck we needed and towed us home. With expert driving they got in on our narrow driveway and parked it where we needed it without any fuss. And after all that they work with us on the price! Very reasonable. Extremely professional highly recommend to anyone no task is too small or big. read more

So my story is this. I got my car stuck on a bridge in woodinville. It is a little wooden bridge. I had two wheels off the bridge as two wheels on the bridge. However, I was still safe to wait in my car for a tow truck. I kept calling around and whiteside said they could be out here in an hour. When the truck got there, the driver had a little attitude. But the main reason why I give this company a one star is because of the price. After he pulled me off the bridge he said he needed to classify this as an accident and charged me $636 just for the towing off the bridge. He said it took him 2.5 hours to do it, but it probably took less than half that. Luckily for me I have AAA so I maybe can get reimbursed but now the question is when. I than called AAA because I needed to get home. Which AAA sent out a tow truck to do that which only cost me 50$. I was talking about what happen to me and that tow truck driver said it should not have costed that much to have him do that. 635 from Whiteside to take me off a simple bridge and only 50$ from a different towing company to take me from Woodinville to Des Moines. So yeah. Total scam, would not recommend this place again. read more

BIG TIME CROOKS!!!!! Towed my car that my 16 yr old borrowed to go to a friends house for a get together. Parked along the side of the road where there were no signs or indications that he should not park there. When my son got to the friends house the friend said they couldnt come in because Snohomish County Sheriffs had a noise complaint by a neighbor. Apparently they called the tow company to tow the cars. My son was back to his car after being gone for about 5 minutes and the tow truck driver told him TO BAD and towed the car anyway. Then charged us $511.00 to get our car out the next morning. They have a racket going with the Snohomish County Sheriff. Bad Business, rude drivers. read more

When every (and I mean EVERY towing company in a 15 mile radius! I called 36!) REFUSED to come help a stranded Mom stuck in a ditch with FOUR kids in the car at 10pm after a snow storm because "they weren't taking calls that night or wouldn't respond unless it was a police call" (even when they had tow trucks available!) Whiteside went out of their way to help us. They responded as fast as possible and attempted to get the van out, when that wasn't possible the driver stuck around until our Uber arrived, so my kids could stay in the truck and keep warm. They came back out the next morning and delivered our vehicle all the way to our home (and no we did NOT get charged a ridiculous fee for this). They even worked with our insurance company to help get it covered. I know, most tow companies are listed as "the bad guys" but when a situation like this happens, you want a company with HEART to help you. I found Whiteside Towing when I was searching for a trailer hitch receiver for a older Ford Ranger pickup. I don't really know much about cars/trucks and I had called a couple of other junkyards and was basically told - you can come and pay an entrance fee and look around to see if we have one. But the people at Whiteside were helpful on the phone, crawled under my truck to measure where the hitch attaches to the frame, gave me a decent price, recommended someone to install it for me, and told me if for any reason it didn't fit the truck or the bicycle rack thing I needed to mount that I could bring it back. I am at an age where such competence and customer service is really appreciated. Good job!! read more

Whiteside towing was amazing!!!! I can not express how much gratitude I have towards them! I was shopping at a (plant) nursery with my 13mo old daughter, once we got to the car I put her in the backseat for her to play around for a little bit while I figure out how to put the plants in my car. She's able to push the buttons on the car door so I locked the door to make sure she wouldn't fall out. After I put my plants in I closed the door and realized right after I locked my keys in my car with my daughter. I ran and got some help and the nursery gave me Whitesides number. I called Whiteside and told them that I have AAA, but because my daughter was in the car I needed someone to come ASAP and without any hesitation they came as quick as they could. Joe was awesome and unlocked my car and saved the day! Since I had AAA they understood the circumstances and helped me out for free. All I can say is that this is a great company!!!! read more

Today my husband & I pulled our car aside to feed our infant son & in the process of switching seats we managed to accidentally lock ourselves out. It was Easter Sunday & it was hard to come by finding any help. Police would only break the windows on our car (with automatic locks). My step-mom called Whiteside & they were on their way - I'm sure way sooner than we could have gotten anyone else. I was getting ready to break the window myself. 'Jean,' I think the guy's name was, was able to get us in our car. He was very skilled & able to get in really in an instant! He really was our hero! My infant son & my husband couldn't have been more greatful. Then, after all that he didn't even ask for payment, just wanted us to donate $50 to the Maltby food bank. We'll be sure to do that & some more. What a great company with great personnel! I'm sure they could have charged us tons for this service. We are very greatful! They deserve your business! read more
