The hybrid control system failed completely: doors locked, steering locked, brakes locked, shift locked - complete hybrid system failure. The car was a $50,000 paperweight holding up an entire ferry full of vehicles, including future rides as the ferry was scheduled for another sail after ours. Over 1,000 people were directly affected by this breakdown. AAA wouldn't help. Lexus Roadside Assistance wouldn't help. Four other tow companies said "no." Even the ferry crew had no idea how to handle it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was calling around, then I got Cameron. Not only did she agree to take the job, she actually coordinated the tow around the ferry schedule (something everyone else refused to even consider).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She showed up, sized up the impossible situation, and maneuvered her flatbed onto the boat with mathmatetically precise planning and surgeon-like precision to the very edge of the ferry, over the ocean and slowly but surely, against all odds, got the SUV off the second deck of the ferry and onto her truck. I received a notification that my truck was towed on Saturday, and I found out it's was dicks towing [[HIGHLIGHT]]I immediately called them and I had they talking to me rudely when I started asking questions on how to recover my vehicle from them back, the first adamant lady told me she was gonna end the call if I kept arguing with her[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] that the truck was mine and the sole owner to the truck I then went to the office on 05/16/26 and requested to retrieve my truck even though they said that they were going to charge me after hours fees I didn't even cared about it it, [[HIGHLIGHT]]upon arrival at the dicks towing office there was a guy and two ladies inside and I knocked on the door they blankly ignored me as if I didn't called them 30mins ago that I was going to retrieve the vehicle[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]immediately I called the number posted on the business door and another rude lady answered the phone was yelling that the truck wasn't mine[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] that it was owned by the old contracted company that we had contract with and [[HIGHLIGHT]]upon letting them know that I got the copy of the title and all lease agreements and power of attorney that proves that this truck is owned by me she refused to talk to me about what I need to get my truck[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , then I called the police since they were refusing to release my equipment to me, and then the police arrived and called the contracting company my truck wasn't signed on to and they informed them that I own the truck that my contract with them was already terminated previous day already [[HIGHLIGHT]]upon giving the exact paperwork that has the copy of the title of truck from the finance company, the power of attorney having me and the leasing company and also the signed lease agreement between me,my company and the truck leasing company the 2 adamant rude woman slammed the paperwork without looking at it at my face and then they said that anyone can just walk in and claim that they own a truck[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], I decided to walk away and request the truck finance company contacted them early Monday and I sent emails adding the so called Mr dicks the owner on the email I sent and the finance company was shocked that they did that to my business on Saturday and they sent same paperwork I gave them to their email and not only this so called tow company was in violation of 2 wa state RCW RCW 46.55.120 and RCW 46.55.200 laws they also made serious damages to my truck because it was towed improperly, they messed the speed sensor and dent my frame with their towing equipment, [[HIGHLIGHT]]upon speaking to the so called Owner Mr ignorant Dicks this morning all he told me was I should get into my F$$$King truck and F$$$&king get out of his business that if the truck hadn't parked at the wrong spot that it would've had gotten towed and had those damages[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], so you gonna tell me that it's okay to damage people equipment because it was parked at the wrong spots I didn't know that how you run your towing company damaging peoples vehicles,which I called the cops and had an incident report of the damages I would be seeing you in court shortly like I promised you this morning Mr Dicks and you're of no difference from your two ignorant rude adamant female employees you had that attended to me on Saturday, my lost revenue for those days you refused to release my truck to me too I sure wouldn't let that slide ATP because of your ignorant behaviors. read more

Came out after work and my car wouldn't start. After trying to jump it with no luck I called to get my car towed. Called Dick's because i have seen their trucks around. The driver came in a reasonable time. I was parked under a building and his truck wouldn't start not fit. We had to push it across the parking lot to get it outside to put on his flatbed. That was a workout but no complaints from Dylan. Delivered to my mechanic and when my wife showed up to picked me up she thought the cost was pretty reasonable and it was less than I thought it would be. read more

Living up to their name, the Dicks tow driver just drove by my quiet neighborhood - he had his red & yellow lights flashing, I think it's illegal to have them moving when its no an emergency, and honking his very loud horn. It's inappropriate in a residential neighborhood and it didn't help his cause (he was just making a wide turn) but it was a solid 15 seconds of klaxon level sirens. When I got the bill a couple hours later, I had questions about the number of hours they were charging for, so I called the office for clarifications. So unfortunately I was involved in an accident a year ago. Lexus Enform called a tow truck, after I told them I had AAA. I had already called AAA and the truck that showed up appeared to have a AAA emblem on the side. However, when they showed up, they insisted that the tow truck was not called by AAA (I call bull on that) and they took my Lexus to their storage yard. When I got home I noticed some items missing, notably my small hard drive that must have slid out of my purse. They claimed they didn't have it. It just disappeared... yeah right, Two days later it was towed to a body shop. I showed up then and searched the car thoroughly and it was no where to be found. It was in the car when it was towed. The car had a black interior and it was a bright orange drive the side of a graham cracker!!! They also charged my insurance and incredible amount of money. When I asked the driver why he would not tow it under my AAA and he told me "it would be at least an hour and a half" for service, even though he was already on the scene!!! My name is Susan and have i got a review for you. After a REALLY HORRIBLE experience I had at the North Everett Fred Meyers I found out my running lights don't turn off and my battery was dead. It was hot (yes..I know..hot in April isn't normal but then again NOTHING IS!! I called AAA and began my wait. It was not long at all. Jeremy called to ask me where I was in the parking lot, I had been crying (so embarrased). He then said, "oh miss Susan, don't you cry... I'll have you up and running in no time at all!" Jeremy pulled up and got to work only I couldn't find my keys. I had frozen food and ice cream melting and Fred Meyers wouldn't let me stash my foods in their GIANT REFRIGERATOR and was told, "No"! I was stunned!! Anyway.. I'm freaking out and Jeremy says, I want you to cool off, don't panic cuz you miss stuff. I'll find your keys. 10 seconds later he found them. I had opened my trunk with them and didn't take them out of the keyhole. He hooked the stuff up and told me to fire up and BAM she started right up. Oh..it gets better. I'm 62 and been driving 50. I never had been told how a battery needs to be taken out and driven around for 20 minutes at 2000 r.p.m. (like 30 mph) after it goes dead and has just been jumped. That if our batteries don't get used they lose juice. There was more but that isn't important. What WAS important is how amazing Jeremy was! Professional yet kind. Knowledgeable yet humble. He is THAT guy when someone needs more than just the mechanical stuff. He lifted my spirits! He gave my soul a good JUMP-START and I could feel it. Our world today is so different and strange this past year or so. God knows that so what does God do to help us get through it? My girlfriends car broke down on 1-5 in Everett. We talked to a state patrol who stopped and he said it should be fine over night. We went back in the morning and it was gone. Dicks picked it up and brought it back to their compound. They charged us $400 to get it back and $100 just to look at the car and get stuff out of it. After we got the car back everything inside was gone. Everything. I asked them what happened to all the belongings and the guys laughed and said "who knows". Don't use this company. They have terrible morals and will scam you for money and take your things :( :( read more

The tech had a little trouble finding me, but the excellent professional service was absolutely worth the extra few minutes. My battery was dead but rather than try and sell me a new one, he painstakingly evaluated what might have caused it to drain and eventually concluded that the contacts were loose. A couple of spins with his handy dandy wrench and I took Fiona (my Jeep) for a half hour tour of our new town of Arlington (of course at rush hour) to charge her back up A similar occurrence when logistics were such that I needed to borrow a friend's car and it wouldn't turn over. I was on my way home at 2AM from work when my water pump broke causing the belt to fall off. I called AAA and they said that Dicks would be dispatched and would arrive at 3AM. Due to the nature of my modified vehicle (lowered, front mounted intercooler, exhaust and wheels) I had requested a flat bed after notifying AAA about these modifications. I was told not a problem. At about 2:30AM I noticed about 4 fire trucks and a few state patrol officers flying towards I-5. 3AM rolls by and the driver was on the dot, even after he told me I-5 had been completely shut down due to an accident! He located my tow hooks and got it on the bed without a hitch! It was super fun watching how fast and meticulous he was with it. Got home at 3:30AM and he was fast unloading it than loading it (obviously). He was professional looking with all the proper safety equipment, his truck was in perfect shape, his manners were awesome and the inside of the truck was clean and organized. This company is great. We've used them three times so far and will definitely continue to choose Dick's for any and all towing needs. My mom has a 4WD truck that is getting on in years and has needed to be towed to a mechanic a couple times. Two of those were planned, one was not. I'll speak to that last one since it was a stressful situation that Dick's friendly service made a whole lot better. My mom had just taken in her truck to be serviced and expected that mechanic to replace her brakes as she was pretty sure they were at their end. The mechanic insisted they were fine, but a week late, driving around Edmonds, the brakes went out. Luckily we were in a relatively quiet area and could pull off to the side of the road and wait for help. We gave Dick's a call and the friendly receptionist got a truck out to us in under an hour. Dennis was the driver and he was great! He was friendly, made us feel at ease, and handled our truck with care. This place is great! read more

I just spoke to a woman at Dicks towing. I live in a condo and their signs were recently posted on our property. I called to speak to someone about if we ( out association) had a contract with them. She responded that I was not an authorized person on the account. I understand that. She continued to tell me that this was approved by the board. I completely understand that. My car's battery died last week while parked at Sea-Tac airport and I called Dick's Towing for a jumpstart, as the signs posted around the Sea-Tac parking lot suggested. I was told a truck would be arriving in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later I called back to check on status and was told that it would be another 15 minutes. Not trusting their ability to accurately forecast when (or if) a truck would actually show up, I cancelled the dispatch and called AAA, who actually *did* show up in 15 minutes. I understand that some calls take longer or unexpected delays happen. But not contacting a customer back to apprise them of changes in expected times is just poor customer service. read more

I have a very low, very difficult to tow car. I called dicks to take it to the shop after it slipped a belt. The first driver they sent out was newer and didn't feel comfortable towing it without causing damage so he called for a different driver. Driver #2 was so amazing. I've never seen a tow truck driver be so careful and attentive to what he was doing. He towed my car just fine. And props to the first guy, I'd so rather wait for a different driver than have my ride messed up. read more

My car broke down in Marysville, WA and I had to get it towed back to Seattle...Dicks was called by insurance company and informed that within the hour a driver would transport my car. I received a call on my cell phone within 20 minutes to get my exact location the dispatch person said the driver would call when she was 5 minutes away...BOOM, 5 minutes away she called, pulled up and took my car promptly and courteously. I helped push my car since my Xterra needed to go onto the flatbed. I was a dummy and locked my keys in my car at the Everett Mall on November 7th in the evening. Called AAA and they said someone would be between an hour or two. I was like dang, I think I could get someone here by then. Ten minutes after the call (it was 6:30) I got a text from AAA saying that Dick's Towing would be there before 6:50. Nice! I only had to wait another 20 minutes. I was waiting by the Party City entrance and decided I should probably stand outside around 6:40 ish and they had a little van type vehicle with flashing lights driving up and down the rows. I appreciated the flashy lights as it made it much easier to spot the van in the dark. When I waved/walked up to the van the guy inside was just calling me. He was friendly and professional and didn't make me feel like the total idiot I was for locking my keys in my car, he just light heartedly commented that alot of people were locking their keys in their car. I pointed out where my car was and he very politely had me sign a damage waiver for unlocking my car, which I totally understand. He unlocked my car in a pinch, and we were all done a minute or two before the "arive by time". Pain free! read more
