Dr. Baker is hands down the best! I was dreading getting my wisdom teeth taken out but their investment in new technologies made it a very seamless operation. Let me give you a little background on my first experience with getting my wisdom teeth out... I went to a doctor named Dr. Alexander Kim and I was completely butchered. He ended up only taking out my bottom teeth. That's the short version and I won't go into detail, just imagine worst case scenario and you've got the story. So here I am, four years later, completely terrified to get my upper wisdom teeth removed because of my traumatic experience the first time. Now I'm sitting here, one day after the surgery (still swollen and in pain, that's inevitable) and I am so thrilled with how wonderful Dr. Delsol was. She didn't give me unnecessary laughing gas, she says they typically do that at doctor's offices where patients are terrified of needles. She would have knocked me out before hooking me up with the IV, but I'm only mildly afraid of needles. Dr. Delsol made me very relaxed and calm, she had a plan of attack to get my teeth out, unlike other oral surgeons who just cut and figure it out later. My surgery was very quick (according to my family waiting) and I didn't come out nauseous at all from being put under. They've very honest, to the point and care a lot about their patients here. There is no word to describe this phenomenal surgeon. It was so hard to find a good and honest dentist. Dr. Baker has a good heart and he is the best doctor with the best skills. I have been to many dentist, and oral surgeon but no one is comparable to doctor Baker. I had to drive 2 hrs to see Dr. Baker but it was worth it. I was in pains for months but no surgeon would dare to correct my over filled gutta percha since it was near the nerve. Luckily, I found Doctor Baker from a referral. At first I was very concern about choosing Doctor Baker because other surgeons said it couldn't be taking out completely and I didn't see reviews for Doctor Baker on yelp at all. After thinking it doesn't hurt to give Doctor Baker a try since I am in pain everyday and no doctor would help me. Doctor Baker sounded caring and confident on the phone. He said he can do this procedure. Once you come and see doctor Baker you will never have to look for any other surgeon.I was so happy to have doctor Baker done this procedure. It didn't take doctor Baker long to finish my surgery. It was amazing that he did it without any pain and very little bleeding if any. His skill is top notch and very hard to find. This tooth had causing me so much pain when other general dentist, endodontist and other surgeon worked on it. One tooth but I had to suffered so much pain, time and money. Thanks to Dr. Baker no pain at all even though he was the one that have to go all the way down near the nerve to correct the mistake that my first endodontist caused. The procedure was risky and difficult but he did it in less than 15 min. He has magic hand. Beside from his top skills, he treated me like family. He followed up with me after the procedure by calling the next day to see if i was alright. He replied back with any concern that I have right away. Doctor Baker is super patience . He listened to all of my concern and my long medical history. I have never seen any doctor that would be so patience and listen to my medical history for half an hour. But I found one here. He makes sure he got everything so he can make a right diagnosed. He fixed the problem and he also help to diagnosed other problems he saw on the panoramic x ray. His diagnosis is 100% accurate. I am sure in time, people get to know Doctor Baker, you will see lots of 5 stars reviews. I feel blessed for knowing him. He is brilliant, warm, kind, knowledgeable and the very best! Just had Doctor Baker finish giving me a new tooth! I had a root canal and then a crown done by another doctor but after time it failed. Doctor Baker has some state of the art equipment in his office that made the process very accurate and efficient. Being very familiar with dental work i was pleasantly surprised to experience zero pain throughout the process. My new tooth fits perfectly and i had no down time. This is not our first visit. All of our (3) children had their wisdom teeth removed from this office by Dr. Delsol. However, it is clear that with the passing of time. Dr. Delsol, does not seem to need any more clients. I questioned why our daughter would need a certain x-ray ($160.00- not covered on insurance) She told me it was a standard x-ray. If it were a standard x-ray, why was I not told of it prior to our appointment; it was like a hidden charge. Dr. Delsol never answered my questions-- she was rude, told me to get a second opinion and then told me to just leave the office.... Dr. Mary Delsol was referred to me by a friend, and I couldn't be more happy about my experience. I am 24 years old and had to get all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Mary Delsol explained to me that my two bottom wisdom teeth were too close to a nerve and had to be shaved down. Anyways, given that I have never had surgery before, I was very nervous about this whole entire process. I am a dental assistant in San Clemente and I was referred to Dr. Del Sol for my wisdom teeth extractions. Both Dr. Del Sol and the staff answered my questions. The day of the appointment (5/2013) I got all four wisdom teeth extracted they sent me home with post surgery precautions and a nifty ice pack to take home :) I had NO need what so ever to take the pain meds cause I felt no discomfort. She is a well skilled and experienced doctor. I had a complex issue having systemic lupus and my body would reject a dental implant that another dentist placed. I was afraid to have it replaced. Her knowledge of my illness was impressive as well as the fact that she took time to sit with me and discuss possible outcome and solutions. After months I made a decision to have her place a implant in the space where the other one was removed. I had little post op pain and a excellent outcome. Dr. Del Sol removed all three of our son's wisdom teeth painlessly with very little time lost for recovery. They were back in sports in 4 days, one in the ocean! She also saw my Aunt from Texas as an emergency on the weekend. My Aunt (older) was feeling horrible from an extraction/infection in Texas. DR. BAKER AND HIS STAFF ARE AMAZING. My son had his wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago by Dr. Baker. The procedure was quick, and he and his wonderful staff were very thorough on the proper post-op instructions, (icing 20 min. on/ 20 min. off, and staying ahead of potential pain with the medicine, as opposed to chasing it). My son had ZERO discomfort, at all. Prior to my son's consult and surgery, Julie Ann aided in getting my son's file started and answering any questions I had; she was beyond helpful and friendly. Also, she was very helpful after my son's surgery when I had questions after we got home. (And, I will admit, provided me with some moral support while my son was in surgery ...to say she is a gem is an understatement. Dr. Baker called to check on my son that evening; I called him back to ask a question regarding pain management (in the event that we needed it), and he answered...at 8pm...this was very much appreciated by a worry-wart mother who wanted to ensure she knew how to manage her son's pain, should it occur. (as I previously mentioned, he has had ZERO pain, but I was simply trying to think ahead should it occur). Dr. Baker is not only a skilled surgeon, but also a very kind doctor , who has an amazing staff of talented individuals who represent him well. I was referred to Dr. Delsol for extraction of a twice root canaled molar that was still giving me grief (pain & infections). Due the all the previous work, the roots were in bad shape, and disintegrating. However, she was able to complete the extraction (totaling 19 pieces!!). I healed beautifully with minimal discomfort. More recently, I ended up losing another two molars (also root-canal failures), with the same great results. Dr. Del Sol is as gentle as she is proficient! Very clean, professional office staff. Two weeks ago, I was in Dana Point for our sons wedding. Unfortunately I lost the temporary cap for an implant from my dental work in South Dakota and I had no idea how to proceed to find an oral surgeon. I reviewed the YELP website and decided to call Dr. Baker's office. My experience was fantastic! Not only was the customer service incredible, but Dr. Baker worked me into his schedule so I wouldn't be dealing with issue at our sons wedding the next day. I cannot thank him enough for his professional, friendly service but also the outstanding results. He is without a doubt a true professional with a caring, wonderful personality. My sister had several of her teeth pulled out here when she was a child, and just had her wisdom teeth pulled out about a month of go. She experienced no pain and very minimal swelling. I have been avoiding having my wisdom teeth taken out for several years, and finally had to get them taken out due to recurring inflammation. I was referred by my dentist to another oral surgeon, but went to Dr. Del Sol instead. I could not be happier with the results! I was nervous about being put under, but the process was completely painless. I was told by my mom that it took less than a half hour. I went home and applied the ice packs to my face, alternating each side every half hour as the Dr. said. I had zero pain and absolutely no swelling and only took ibuprofen a few times. It is now the morning after and I still have no pain or swelling, can't even tell I had anything done. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone, courteous and professional. Dr. Delsol removed a tooth in the center of my lower jaw (tooth #23). She used a clamp to force my jaw open so wide that it caused dislocation of my temporomandibular joint. This resulted in severe acute pain if I tried to chew on the left side of my mouth. This lasted for about three months, and included chronic low level pain in the left side of my jaw. I also had to live on a regime of physician-prescribed painkilling and muscle-relaxing drugs. This occurred over a year ago, and I'm finally almost free of pain. read more
