Chipped my front tooth and Dr. Rubio was able to get me in the same day I called in order to fix it before the holidays! His attention to detail is unmatched and I couldn't be happier with the result! It actually looks way better than before the accident. All I wanted for Christmas was my two front teeth and Dr. Rubio delivered!! read more

Thank you, Dr Rubio and staff. You made an anxious process more than bearable, ALMOST relaxing, (for going to the dentist). The RDA, Lupe, was a wonderfully soothing presence. I can't recommend this team enough. Thank you all. read more

I've seen many dentists in my days since recovering from major trauma to my teeth and Dr. Rubio tops the charts with his amount of patience, care and expertise. Getting implants can be an intimidating experience and he was the best from beginning to end. Can't recommend him and whole staff enough. Honest and exceptional. read more

Great for adults. Not for children. For children I'd recommend going to a kids dental since they are used to kids. My husband and I are loyal to Dr. Rubio's dental work. We come in for regular dental cleaning. He doesn't try to up-sale you like the majority of other dental offices. I was so tired of those offices. I always fell for it and paid like $300 for some extra stuff that I didn't need. It's so refreshing that Dr. Rubio doesn't do that. He's very nice and has a very friendly staff. Pros: *Great dental cleaning job *Doesn't try to up-sale you on expensive dental add-ons you don't need. *Friendly staff *Very cozy environment, relaxing. Feels very home-like. *Very welcoming Cons: *A little outdated but we don't mind that. It's lacking in innovation. It's a traditional office, which we like but def not like the tech savvy new dental offices we have been too in the past. I've been to offices in the past that look very technologically advanced and that's very cool, but they always try to up-sale you in those advanced offices so I prefer Dr. Rubio. read more

Dr. Rubio and his team have always done an amazing job in comforting me as a client. Their staff is warm and very nice. The dentist can be scary but they make it okay! I highly recommend their practice & I would never go anywhere else. Thank you Dr Rubio & The Team! :) read more

Dr. Rubio and his team are great and he isn't even my regular dentist. I was surfing at Doheny on a Saturday and my surfboard smashed into my mouth, cracking my tooth half off and smashing my lip open. I was really panicking, but they were able to get me in before they closed. They were so nice, gentle, and calming (the dental hygienist did have to dab a tear from my eye). Dr. Rubio stayed past when they closed and was able to do a partial root canal, take the surfboard fiberglass out of my lip, stitch it up, glue my tooth back on, and talk me through everything really thoroughly so I could figure out a plan with my regular dentist. I hung out with friends that night and nobody could believe that I'd had my tooth and lip busted open earlier that day -- I just hope my mom doesn't find out this happened by seeing this review. I'm so grateful for Dr. Rubio and his office!! read more

I was there getting my teeth cleaned and the dental hygienist pulled my lower jaw forward and down and gave me TMJ for months and months and months read more

Hands down the BEST Dentist I've ever been to! I was recommended by an out of state Dentist to see him, and forever thankful! He repaired an old crown, and even fixed my permanent retainer...better than the Orthodontist who did the original work. Dr. Rubio is kind, extremely thorough and office Staff is top notch! I can't speak highly enough about him and his office. It's a great feeling to know, we have an incredible family dentist. read more

Good doctor. Had a filling fall out. It was 50/50 whether I needed a root canal or a large filling. Dr. Rubio saved my tooth (and a bunch of $$). Seems like an honest guy and a good dentist. Staff is nice, I was in and out quickly, No waiting. I will be back for sure. read more

Well, clearly there is not much more to be said about the awesomeness that is Dr. Rubio and the amazing staff at this dental office. Always welcoming, friendly, calm. Such a relaxed atmosphere you forget you are sitting in a dental chair about to get drilled! I love how personable they are there. I sometimes feel like I get extra chatty because they question how my weekend was or my vacation. They remember that stuff. Most of the time I am heavily caffeinated so I can be extra chatty. They don't seem to mind. I love it here. Especially that I can make small conversation about my favorite football team with Dr. Rubio. GO PATS! Haha. Anyways, I can smile again because of this outstanding team! read more

Dr Rubio is always very kind and personable, and has repaired my front tooth for me when the filling fell out and it was an emergency to have it fixed ASAP. I love the atmosphere and ocean view while I am getting dental work done- it makes it much more pleasant! (He is also not too hard on the eyes, ladies ;) All of the other people in the office are also very sweet and considerate. I am so much happier with Dr. Rubio than the past 2 dentists I have gone to. read more

I am a former patient of Dr. Rubio's and also a former dental school classmate of his and, and I can only say the greatest things of him as a dentist and as a person. He was consistently a top performer in our dental school class with genuine interest in learning about dentistry (winning awards along the way). His patients loved him for the care he put into every exam, restoration, and cleaning he did. He is of excellent moral character as well, and I am 100000% sure that the claims made by fake people on yelp would never happen in his office. He goes beyond the standard of care in sterilizing his instruments and takes great pride in everything in his office. If you've read this far, you would be foolish to go to anyone else for your teeth. If I lived in the area I would definitely be a patient of his. Call his office for an appointment and see for yourself how trustworthy he is! P.s. I heard he was really good at foosball. Or maybe it was football.... read more

Garrett Rubio is a champion of modern dentistry. As talented as he is charming, Dr. Rubio encompasses the balance of skill, passion, and finesse all dentists should hope to strive for. I came for a second opinion on some tragic back alley dental work I had done, and Dr. Rubio got me in quickly and fixed the problems. Good as new. I can't praise him enough. His office has the SoCal surf vibe that is perfectly suited for Dana Point. Don't walk, but run to get in to see this Knight of the Dental Round Table. read more

An excellent first visit. No pain during the cleaning and both the hygienist and the dentist were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate the conservative nature of treatment recommendations. Clean and calm office environment! So glad I found Dr. Rubio! read more

I have a pretty good dental history but when my wife pointed out that I had some discoloration on one of my front teeth, and when teeth whitening products didn't solve the problem, I became concerned. I went to Dr Rubio, he evaluated my condition and quickly diagnosed and presented a treatment plan. I needed a root canal! Obviously I was worried, but Dr Rubio explained very clearly how the process worked and put my mind at ease. Dr Rubio simplifies keeping my teeth healthy and looking great. His staff is extremely professional and makes sure that I am always taken care of. Life can be full of obstacles but, thanks to Dr Rubio and staff, my dental health is not one of them. read more

Amazing dentists here! Clean, comfortable and affordable. You can really tell they care about their patients. I highly recommend Garrett Rubio to anyone for dental work. Such a nice gentleman as well :) read more

I dont normally write reviews but I was new to Dana Point last year. Me and my husband needed a new dentist. Dr. Rubio and his staff are SO welcoming and I love the care I have received there. The office is beautiful and exceptionally clean. My hygienist has really helped me get the health of my gums and teeth back. My cleanings are so much easier now than they have ever been because they gave me so much helpful information on how to keep my teeth actually clean! (Go buy a soniccare from Costco.) Dr. Rubio takes the time to really connect with me before even explaining what is going on with my teeth. Everyone is kind and courteous and makes going to the dentist a lot less stressful!! Highly recommend if you need a dentist! read more

So my husband and I were on a long overdue vacation when the filling on my implant fell out, causing the whole crown to twist up to the point that my teeth didn't close together. Not exactly conducive to a romantic getaway. The wonderful husband started calling up all the dentists in the area, and, as it turns out, many are too specialized or too general to deal with a wayward implant crown. Some told us they only dealt with root canals; others, that they didn't have the equipment to handle a crown; still others, that they didn't have time to see us, could we check back in a few days (umm ... no, because we're just here for a few days, and I need to eat before then). Then there was Dr. Franke. His receptionist knew exactly what he was capable of and that we could walk right in. Even though she warned that there might be a wait, we were there all of five minutes before I was in a chair getting examined. Dr. Franke was able to not only get the crown back into position, but did so quickly, without damaging the tooth, and in such a way that my own dentist was able to pick up where he left off for the finishing touches and final tightening. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. And we can honestly say that Dr. Franke and his team saved our vacation. Thank you so much! read more

I would like to echo the wonderful comments, and genuine words everyone has expressed about Dr. Franke and of his office staff and hygienists--they are truly the best! My husband and I have been going for nearly 8 years---my in laws go here as well. I have always experienced nothing but the best and have always felt welcomed, heard, and taken care of! I also love my hygienist! All in all, it's a great dental office, it's in a nice area, with ocean view and great people! read more

What a great dentist and staff. Recently moved to the area and searched yelp for reviews. Saw Dr. Rubio was highly recommended and after seeing him, I see why. He's seen both my wife and I and both of us feel like he immediately became our favorite dentist. He's very friendly, unassuming, good at explaining things, and excellent at his dentistry. His entire office staff is super friendly and make you feel very comfortable whether there for a cleaning or a crown. read more

If i could give them 10 stars i would not be exaggerating! I had bad experience whit a dentist and im absolutely terrified when i go to the dentistry! After my first experience i was desperately looking for someone i can trust. I needed to extract the tooth and do the implant (never done any of this ) At my first visit Dr. Franke explained everything that needs or can be done, every step,he gave me some advices and options. I came back for my surgery a little nervous , they gave me some calming medication, explained every step they going to do and started working. I did not expect that something like that can be done absolutely painless. Dr.Tim(if im not mistaken) the most gentle and caring oral surgeon you can find! Thank you all, i will definitely be back read more
