Don't get me wrong mostly their reviews are negative about finances and billing and insurance but we have to realize that insurance makes you think they cover everything but they don't unfortunately. And if you really want the best for your self than yes we have to pay to get the best Quality work done, just like you would for your car or your house. Dr. Shalaby, thank you for exampling and educating me on what needs to be taken care of. In my experience most dentist just tell you what the treatment will be and get moving on it but some don't take the time to educate or explain and that really showed me how your care for your patients. I was really panicking, but they were able to get me in before they closed. They were so nice, gentle, and calming (the dental hygienist did have to dab a tear from my eye). Dr. Rubio stayed past when they closed and was able to do a partial root canal, take the surfboard fiberglass out of my lip, stitch it up, glue my tooth back on, and talk me through everything really thoroughly so I could figure out a plan with my regular dentist. I hung out with friends that night and nobody could believe that I'd had my tooth and lip busted open earlier that day -- I just hope my mom doesn't find out this happened by seeing this review. From the front desk to the hygienist and dental assistants to Dr. East, everyone here is off the chart friendly, helpful, caring and professional. These folks get an A+. As for my prosthetics, they get two separate grades. For aesthetics, they get an A+ as well. I couldn't be happier with the way they look. I now don't hesitate to smile or laugh in public, and I even get the occasional compliment. I do a lot of public speaking and presentations, and my new teeth have really boosted my self-confidence and self-esteem. For functionality, I have to give them a D+. The images they show you of people biting into an apple are really not accurate. I've had mine for two years now and I still struggle to bite through a soft bagel. I knew I would have to alter my diet, which I was happily prepared to do, but I didn't realize eating would forever be challenging, uncomfortable, or a bit painful. I guess if you average the two grades, they do get a 'B,' but I'm on the fence as to whether I'd make the same choice if I had it to do over again.

The front desk sat me in one of their comfy dental chairs in their dental areas. The beautiful dental assistant, Shy, asked me a few questions. Then she took photos of my loose filling from the top view and the side view Then in came the doctor with the numbing paste and eventually the needle with the anaesthetic. Other dentists would have jabbed my gums by the tooth 3-4 times I only felt 1 jab and jolt when Dr. Briney did it. I forgot to breathe, and didn't notice until Shy said in a calming voice, "take deep breath's in and slowly breathe out." When the shot was done, I asked the doctor 10 minutes later, it had my left jaw, lower left cheek, and the left side if my lip feeling funky! And the high pitched drilling began! Again, Shy gently reminded me to breathe. When I felt a tiny twinge, I let them know, and he paused immediately to check in. He explained that I was feeling the heat from the tool because it was vibrating too fast. He slowed it down, and I didn't feel a thing for the rest of the procedure! He removed all the decay that occurred under the loose filling then replaced it with filling that closely resembled my tooth's color! Mind you, both the doctor and his dental assistant were walking me through each step, to ease my anxiety. Before I knew it, my tooth was cleaned and filled! That night, when the anesthetic wore off, I noticed my new filling was hitting before the rest of my teeth. I left them a phone message asking to be seen the next day. The next morning, I was notified that I was on their schedule. I got in, and was seen immediately. I did the tap-tap-tap-grind with that paper thingy. He drilled for a second. I tap-tapped on the paper again, another half a second of drilling, and VOILA! I know have my normal bite, and I can chew on that side with no pain or seeds getting stuck in it anymore! I used the front camera on my phone, which is why it looks like I'm pointing to my right.

They do NOT have a periodontist on staff, nor do they have one that comes in at regular intervals like other dental practices. I asked for pricing for an implant specifying all the details from my visit to my dentist, but Kim told me that they do not give prices. I explained that if I wanted to get pricing based on their format, that I would have to spend 10 days to visit 10 dentists and pay each $100-$400 for a consult, just to get a price, not to mention I would have to have 10 CT scans which would expose me to enough radiation to give me cancer. Rather than apologizing for their policies, she says, "we're probably not the right dentist for you." If she was my employee, I'd fire her.
