I now don't hesitate to smile or laugh in public, and I even get the occasional compliment. I do a lot of public speaking and presentations, and my new teeth have really boosted my self-confidence and self-esteem. For functionality, I have to give them a D+. The images they show you of people biting into an apple are really not accurate. I've had mine for two years now and I still struggle to bite through a soft bagel. I knew I would have to alter my diet, which I was happily prepared to do, but I didn't realize eating would forever be challenging, uncomfortable, or a bit painful. I guess if you average the two grades, they do get a 'B,' but I'm on the fence as to whether I'd make the same choice if I had it to do over again.
