I've been going to Marvelous Nails for about 3 or more years, having worked for tips myself, I made it a point to tip well. At least $5, $10 on some occasions, for each girl/guy who serviced me. A couple of years ago, the girl who was in the middle of doing my pedicure was pulled away to do another customer, not "too" much of a big deal, but the incident was not forgotten. Today, 1/26/18, I came in for a simple "no frills" pedicure. The girl doing the pedicure had serviced me before. It had been a while since my last visit. She cut too deep when trimming my nails, so much that I physically twitched/writhed in my seat. After she filed the bottoms of my feet, she rinsed the foot file in the water I was soaking in. She wiped the utensils on my SKIN, not on the towel! That ALONE is enough for a bad review! I will NEVER return to Marvelous Nails again. read more

This was my me and my mother's "to go nail salon." Since I moved away from Covington, I have not been able to find a nail salon as good as Marvelous Nails. The people here are very professional and really know what they are doing. So, on the first day of being back for my vacation at home, I told my mother we NEEDED to go to the nail salon and get our nails "did", like back in the good old days. We forgot they close at 7:00 pm on week days, we showed up around 6:30 both wanting an acrylic manicure, I kind of felt bad since the whole place was packed. The lady at the front counter came up to us and told us she would take us but it was going to be a 40-45 minute wait. That's cool, we will take it. 40 minutes later, my mother and I are getting our nails done. I really appreciate how they didn't make us feel rushed and the fabulous work they did. Once again, Marvelous Nails does not fail. Two acrylic manicures equaled to $68.00. read more

This was my 2nd visit. I wanted to love this place, it's so convenient and it's open on Sundays. First time I had pedicure it was OK, nothing special, nothing bad. Went again this weekend and the absolute worse pedicure ever. The people that work here are very friendly and very nice. On this pedicure she didn't even remove ANY of the dead skin. It's like I had my nails polished for $25 (not counting manicure). It's just awful and I'm so mad at myself for not saying. But I shouldn't have to tell someone how to do their job ... won't be going back :( read more

TERRIBLE. Do not waste your money here. They made me bleed, my nails were super uneven, they weren't even completely covered with paint, and the girl rushed me out 15 mins before they closed and my nails weren't even dry causing me to mess one up. I've used this establishment a few times before, and I was definitely not okay with the results. My daughter wanted a spray tan for her homecoming dance. The lady had given us vague instructions on how to get the best out of her artificial tanning, she also conned is into buying useless soaps and lotions to "keep the dye" on my daughter's skin. None of this made any real sense to me. But she had said to wash it off the next morning, and that was a school day. My daughter had woken up and noticed that the spray had rubbed off completely in her sleep, which i didn't understand why, she was very careful with how she moved around in her sleep and what she did coming home from the spa. But the spray was gone and only remained in the pores of her skin. It was patchy and her face looked horrid due to the color. Riley had showered before school, first with the gel/soap she had sold us, nothing beneficial. Then with actual soap. The spray was no longer visual in her pores, but she was still a horrible shade of dark orange. She was so embarrassed at the dance that night, but glad that it was dimly all it. The second time I was even worse. My mother and I visited it for manicures. I know you're probably thinking, 'why go again if you were so unhappy before?' Well, i thought they couldn't possibly be as bad at painting nails as they are at spray tans. Well I never had the chance to find out. When we walked through the door, we were welcomed with a smile and such, asked what we wanted, told us there was no wait and to pick a color. I went to get my color, my mother wanted clear. There wasn't a large variety of colors. They all looked the same. We weren't allowed to open the colors to test them out, which is understandable. But I opened most of them anyways :). Half of the colors I opened up were empty or chalky or clumpy. You'd expect them to replace polishes, wouldn't you? I sat down with a color that looked somewhat pleasing, but I was sitting for a long time, but they said no wait. My mom noticed that too. We waited a bit longer, even being told they are looking for seats. My mother spotted two empty seats, and when we tried to sit down they snapped at us. We went back to the waiting couch and waiting even LONGER! Two women walked in while we were waiting, and they were overly welcomed but the staff. I had immediately assumed they were familiar with each other. They asked what they wanted, a pedicure or a manicure, blah blah blah. They said "nothing, just here to visit." They THEN sat them down in available seats where you usually get your nails painted, instead of the waiting couches. That was incredibly annoying and we decided enough was enough and left. The same girl who had welcomed and told us she'd find us a seat just an hour before watched us leave. I found that service absolutely horrid and i do not recommend this Nail Spa to anyone expecting good service. read more
