Lady wasnt very friendly and theirs bulks of polish on the ends of my toes and she wiped off polish that was on my nail but close to the cuticle but theres just a big line of polish missing. last experience was horrible. Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to this place. This place has seriously gone down hill since I started coming here. It took a lot for me to walk away because I'm a very patient person. But to be taken for granted as a customer over and over again , I had to say enough is enough. I always tipped well , referred many people here and was a loyal customer. "V" , the woman that ran this place after Ashley -my technician went on vacation recently 5/21, NEEDS customer service training... BAD. I got my nails dipped the week of 5/10. Let me start out by saying that I did not have an appointment. My schedule does not allow for me to make appointments since it's constantly changing. Instead of making an appointment and having to cancel , I'd rather take my chances and "walk in." With that being said , I've been to a ton of nails salons in many different cities all over the country and from what I gathered , for the most part they rely on a huge part of their walk in clientele. I had no reason to believe I would have any issues . The day I went in for my manicure and pedicure, I noticed the place was just a mess. I noticed unsanitary practices. Dirty implements and dirty , dusty surfaces inside the salon, dirty bathrooms, the floors were filthy. I noticed the last several times that they were very dismissive of customer comfort and they lack friendliness, with exception of Ashley. "V" is the worst. She talks down to customers who aren't "regulars." The day after I got my nails dipped , I noticed a crack in the dip on my thumbnail . I went back and asked if someone could please fix it and "V" rudely told me "we are busy!!" Come back at 6pm. Unfortunately I had to pick up my daughter from aftercare and could not come back that time . I called her the next day to try and get this crack on my nail fixed , she rudely dismissed me and said "come at 6pm and I will do it after everybody is gone" So , let me get this straight, I have to wait until all of your customers are gone for the day before you will fix one nail, which included a service I paid generously over $100 for with a generous tip 2 days beforehand????? No thanks . I went to another nail salon close by and they fixed it . It took them less than 10 minutes. I honestly was prepared to get a different color on that nail , not knowing they even had that same color dip to fix it . Fortunately they had the same color but it was actually a better quality dip and was more vibrant than Bella's nails . Other negatives about this place : - they asked me on 2 different occasions if I wanted water , never got it. - nobody wears masks and it's pretty close contact -not even techs - they use dirty implements - their time management is HORRIBLE It took more than 3 hrs to do my friend's manicure and still didn't do the design work on her nails because she was tired of waiting so long . So she went home with what she didn't want after 3 hrs. There are way too many nail salons in the area to settle for this crap. We had an appointment for 1PM-- and we are in from out of town to celebrate Mothers Day with my 78 year old mom. 1. We came in and sat for 35 minutes. So I ask : What's the point of making an appointment versus walk in? If I knew that they would have taken me had we walked in sooner I would have done that. The woman swore to me on the phone we would be taken care of on time. 2. When they did get things going they had to cut my daughters pedicure because of time and no one was available. 3. This salon is super disorganized and dirty by today's standards during covid. The place has dirty floors and their bathroom was a mess. I've been going here for the last few months. Now, finding a good nail salon is nearly impossible and so far this is the best I've found in this area. They are always very busy, so the smart decision would be to call and make an appointment beforehand especially if you're aiming for the afternoon or a weekend. However, they don't always answer the phone and I've had to just walk in because they never answered the day before. If you do walk in and they are busy, they will generally give you a time to come back in or just tell you there's no room that day. They do a decent job, but sometimes if they're busy I don't feel like they pay as much attention as they could. I've left with a manicure where you could still see the previous polish around the edges of my nails. And I've been nipped a few times with the cuticle clippers. The main area that I think needs improvement is their friendliness. I've been going every couple of weeks and I still mostly sit in silence while they give me my manicure. They don't really make an effort to engage unless you are one of their regular customers. And they will very clearly make exceptions for the people they know personally; even stopping in the middle of my manicure once to go wax someone's eyebrows that just ran in. They're prices are competitive; they're are definitely more expensive places around that do the same job. Absolutely terrible! My mom and I have gone here multiple times over the last year or so dealing with bad service because we liked the familiarity. Never again! Firstly our appointment was for 11:00 I didn't leave until 1:20 and my nails weren't even finished when I left. However, that is no where near the worst of it, I showed Vy (the owner) the length I wanted my nails and she filed them WAY shorter. On top of this she cut one of my tips off without even asking saying it was too old and "loose" which it wasn't. I assumed she would put a new tip on and keep the nails even but she didn't. The rest of my nails that were even were not only far shorter than I wanted but were extremely skinny and for lack of a better word ugly. I was struggling to hold in tears over how stupid and ugly my nails looked so I left before she got to painting them. I will now be going to a different salon to get my nails fixed and I hope you choose to go to a different salon before Bella Nails has a chance to ruin your nails too. read more

Came here because I am new to the area and didn't read the reviews. Reviews are definitely true. The man assisting me was aggressive and slightly rude. Left 3x to go smoke and didn't wash his hands (wreaked of smoke). Barely understood what shape I wanted (shape of my finger). The colors of the dip didn't coordinate correctly so I had to change that last minute or I would've had orange nails instead of salsa red. Burned my fingers when drilling. Someone at the front register was smacking her food or snack the entire time. And at the end I showed the tech the residue to be fixed and he got irritated. Charged the base on top of a "special shape fee". Didn't realize that my finger shape was considered special. Only reason they get 2 stars is because the nails don't actually look horrible and the salon is cute as heck. read more

I figured I was coming in at the wrong time or didn't schedule an appointment or didn't get the right nail tech. So decided to scheduled an appointment with a highly recommended nail tech online. Isabella, the owner, called me to reschedule the appointment saying that someone else was booked at that particular time. She rescheduled me for the next day. I came in waited for about 5mins and was told to sit at a table. I waited for about another 5mins and another nail tech told me to move to her table. She started removing my polish and then the owner came over to tell me to get up she has another client that scheduled an appointment. I informed her I also scheduled an appointment. She said someone would be with me in a few minutes. So waited about another 7-10mins. Finally another nail tech came over and finished my nails. Fantastic! I have been struggling with keeping gel polish on my nails, so after a little research, i decided to switch from my normal place and went Bella around 10:30a on a Saturday. Luckily, I only had to wait about 15 minutes for a chair, but next time I'll be sure to make an appointment because this place gets busy...and for good reason! Their basic pedicure is not so basic. It was the most luxurious foot treatment I have ever had. My feet have never felt so pampered, and toe nails were meticulously done. They were able to smooth my rough heels without any discomfort and massage / exfoliate my feet and calves. They offer you any drink of your choice while you enjoy a relaxing massage chair. Awful. The woman who did my nails was aggressive and my nails turned out looking lop sided and sloppy. Started out with her digging her nail into the bottom of my foot during my pedicure. When I pulled away she said "it just tickles" and grabbed my foot to do it again. Then she filed all the way through my nail during my manicure to the point that I was bleeding out of the center of my nail. The nails don't even look good. I think your perception of this business is based on your expectations and what you're used to. Not one star, because it wasn't awful, but still not the best experience I've had. It was the least desirable of the three I've tried in Mandeville and Covington. I hate to say I was a bit disappointed because all of these reviews got my hopes up. I mainly went to this place to avoid the Causeway (I usually end up spending 2+ hours once the drive is factored in...) and find a place close to home, but I think I will stick with what I know. The customer service was a tiny bit below average, there is a LOT of shuffling of people between people and I think customer needs can be lost in translation. You end up telling a couple of different people what you're seeking and suggestions are thrown in, and before I knew it, I was walking out with something completely opposite. Pricing - expect vague. I wasn't sure what I was going to pay because I called first, $6, explained what I wanted when I got there, $27 plus whatever design I got, so we are now looking at fortyish (for a polish change). Actual work - had a deep holiday red removed, but not well. The underside of my nails still looked dirty. I picked a color, was told that color was too light (sheer pinkish nude, think a tad pinker than OPIs bubble bath), she went and picked out a different pink and used that. We are in December and it was a bright Easter egg pink. My original nail technician kept messing up polishing (about three or four times) and would have to go back and correct it. I sat in front of the fan for awhile until someone could paint a design. I'm always open to new ideas (Instagram was very convincing!), but ended up with basic silver glitter (that ended up on my cuticles). To top everything off, the next morning I opened an envelope and the paper sliced through the polish (that normally doesn't happen when a top coat is applied?). I take responsibility as well because I was asked if I liked it, and I said yes because I was ready to go, and for being there over 30 minutes, things felt very rushed. I have been getting my nails and toes done for over 15yrs and this is top 5 the worst place. I got a gel pedicure and manicure. The pedicure took maybe 20 mins with the majority of the time on applying the gel to my toes. When I get a pedicure I expect a foot massage and the foot massage was seriously less than a minute. When I received the manicure they didn't even give me a hand massage or any massage. I paid $80 for these services! Yes I know a gel pedicure cost more money but shouldn't be an extra $20 maybe $10-15. I feel like I didn't get the full services I paid for. I will stick to H2K! Bella Nail's should be avoided. They overcharge based on the average price of a northshore salon and will rush your service. I had gel stuck on the sides of my hands for days due to their sloppy application. Also, what is up with the poor dog they leave sitting in the tall pedicure chair? Do they not know that a dog's nose is extremely sensitive and the salon has horrible ventilation? The poor baby seemed like he was dead when I went to touch him. So so sad! I'm not sure why I see this place busy, but there are much better nail salons near by such as Kim's Nails, Angel nails, or Serenity in Covington. I will never go here again. I went for a pedicure and received an infected foot instead. My foot was scrubbed so hard it caused an abrasion that got infected. I spoke with the owner who at first was nice and apologetic and offered me a free pedicure (not happening). The infection was so bad even after a week of antibiotics the hole was not getting better. I went into show the effects of the pedicure and they told me they did not do this! They said they did not cut me. I explained they did not cut me but using the foot sponge on my heels and side of my foot so hard they removed the skin and eventually it became infected. I wanted them to be aware of some bacteria they may have so as to prevent others from being infected. Very defensive and unapologetic. Be careful where you get your pedicure read more
