I have been here several times, I love that you can make an appointment and get in when you walk in the door! My only complaint would be the pedicure set up. My legs are short, so I have to scoot almost to the edge of the bench. The staff is very professional and polite. I've had gel manicures and pedicures. I followed the suggestions of previous reviewers and went to Gloss for a much needed pedicure on Monday. I was quite disappointed with my experience there. While the exterior is inviting and the place is nice, I was shocked to see that my feet would be soaking in a stainless steel sink. No jets here. Then the gentleman pulled out the "utensils" he would use: a file about 3 1/2 inches long and a buffer the size of a tablespoon of butter. When he went to exfoliate the rough areas on my heels and toes, I yanked my foot back because he hurt me. Actually have a brush burn on the side of my heel. The massage portion which I looked forward to the most was more of a lotion application than a massage. I was disappointed and will not be going back. read more

The owner Bebe is very nice and clearly does a great job too, and I see that she has a very loyal clientele and strong following. We had lunch at Marco's pizza and I was in need of a pedi while in town heading to New Orleans to visit my family. This salon was nice and clean. I loved the contemporary decor here. Bebe my nail technician was friendly as she greeted me when I walked in the door. I waited about 15 minutes before she got started on my pedicure. She was very gentle and did a great job on my painful ingrown toenails. I haven't been to a nail salon that exclusively only uses OPI nail polishes. Most of the time salons have only a few OPI bottles and the rest some off brand polish. The prices for the services here were reasonable. I was surprised that my pedi was about $40 bucks with a scrub and even a steam towel. My feet were pampered today with the peppermint treatment. This pedicure was relaxing and soothing on my feet. I will definitely be back when I am in town visiting my family. read more

My first mani pedi in Louisiana and I was VERY pleased! They definitely paid attention to detail and took their time! My gel manicure lasted longer than any gel manicure I've ever had anywhere! The selection of colors is overwhelming! It's great!! The staff was very very friendly and made me feel welcome. I am new to the area so they gave me tons of suggestions of places to go and things to do! I give this place 5 stars, but if you are looking to sit in a massage chair when you get your pedicure, that's not what they have, so keep that in mind! Looks nice upon walking in. Went in to get a pedicure and a gel manicure. Over all pedicure was basic. No jets, just a standard stainless steel tub to soak feet in. No bells and whistles. But, when the lady was wrapping my fingernails to take off my gel nails, it went downhill from there. She literally had no idea what she was doing. This whole process just to take my gel nailpolish off was longer than 30 minutes. As soon as they were done basically ripping my nails off I left without getting the manicure. Their foot soaking tubs are not jetted which was disappointing & no massage chairs. Their prices are higher than other nail salons in the surrounding area. This is a nice place that i go to almost every month now and i enjoy going to get a regular manicure and they have various colors you can choose from and the pricing is very good! Some people have said the pricing is bad but never acctullay said how much it costs... the price for a regular manicure is $15! I think that is good pricing...they are sometimes crowded but it is a good place to get your nails done weather you live in LA or you are visiting! We went while we were on vacation for the summer and went 3 times!!! read more

Not worth the money!!! I usually go to I'Land Pedi to get a fill but I had heard that Gloss was inexpensive and nice as well. Walked in needing fill on my acrylics and the technician began working. She took off two of my acrylics that were totally fine to build upon but I didn't ask since I figured she knew more than I did. Nothing extraordinary was done to my nails so I wasn't bothered but wasn't impressed. Went to pay and they wanted to charge me for a full set. Apparently the minimum for a full set is only getting two nails done!! Will NOT be going back. Spend your money at a place that is worth it even if it costs you a few dollars more. I was very unimpressed with this place , I went to get a pedi. I was super dissapointed i was sitting on a bench soaking my feet in a kitchen sink . I look forward to a bowl with jets and a massage chair like every other nail shop . If you're looking for the typical experience with the massage chairs...it's not here. But the benches are comfortable and the main thing in my book is that the salon is clean quiet and relaxing! Clean being pivotal here...I noticed that a previous reviewer commented on the package of tools and small buffer, that's because a new sterilized packet of instruments is used on each person. This is great to me because I wouldn't want go use someone else's buffer! The staff really does a great job and they take their time unlike some other places that just rush you out. read more
