I've been here in the past and my nails always look decent. Today I got dip and tips like I always do and my nails have never looked so bad. They are thick, fat, and rough. The person was watching tv doing my nails and not paying attention at all. Then had to start over because he messed up. I will NEVER return to this salon and I advise everyone to not go here!

Extremely messy paint application of a candy cane designed on my big toe.

Wonderfully relaxed and efficient and friendly nail salon. A pedicure receives nice foot pampering and the spa chairs feel really good.

We always get good pedicures here but be forewarned that you should make an appointment. They are…read morealways extremely busy which I find makes them a little brash. As far as the actual service I've always been more than satisfied with the result. Place is clean and there are many options to choose from. I like the disposable plastic liners no need to worry if the foot bowl is clean. The chairs are massage-type and they are a little old but overall a good place

I have recently moved from the Woodlands area (suburb of Houston) and needed to find a nail salon…read more I loved my nail salon and the technicians that did my gel manicure/pedicure every (2) weeks. I never had any issues with nails. They always looked beautiful. I have long covid so I get my gel manicure and gel pedicure at the same time to help with the amount of time given for me to get my nails done so frequently. The staff at Nuni nails were all very nice. My first appt went okay. I liked my nails when I left (I'm Not picky about my nails). Then (4) days later the first nail started lifting. It started lifting from the base of the nail but the top of the nail had so much of a glue type product and there was no way it was going to lift but the base was constantly being caught on everything. By this happening it is so painful because if anything slightly catches the nail lifting it pulls the nail backwards like a lever. This happens because the top of the nail is so glued you have to literally cut off your nail to stop the pain or go pay another $75 with tip to get my nails redone. I'm sure I'm no different than other people When I say I don't have time to go sit in a nail salon for an hours every week. Much less being in serious pain after you just paid to have them done (4) days prior. I went back as soon as I could with my nail taped down at the base because it was so painful and I really didn't want to lose what was left of my nail if I didn't have to. I called and let them know what happened, made an appt to come have my nails done a week earlier Then my normal schedule, and when they started to try and drill my nail it was so painful I could not believe it. They did not say anything about not charging me to redo them or actually didn't even apologize when I was explaining how painful it had been for the (3) days it took for me to come get them redone. That was fine though. I just wanted my nails not to be broken or painful. I even asked if they thought the polish may be too old or they are not using the product other salons so before putting the nail polish. They didn't come up with a possible reason or even acknowledge that how bizarre it is to have this happen so many times. I got the feeling this isn't the first time they have had this problem with other customers. Long story short after one week Again a nail started lifting and excruciating pain once again. By the next day several had lifted(different nails than the prior one listed above). So, I went back to Nuni Nails again and again no apology for how painful it has been with my nails getting pulled backwards over and over. Well, needless to say within days one by one different nails started lifting. I called letting them know what had happened once again and that I wanted to cancel any future appts because I had never seen something like this when I've had my nails done for many years now. I don't know what is worse-the quality of the workmanship or the way the owner and staff handled the situation. Everyone makes mistakes but it's how you handle the situation that shows the kind of company you are, the pride the owner/staff has in their nail business. It is very clear I think that the character of the owner/staff really shows from my experience that they just want to do nails for as many people in any given day and not build clientele. They don't have the forethought to know if they worked harder to build a clientele that are consistent customers versus the "rat race" of just getting the people in and out as fast as possible. I call it the number game. Unfortunately, that concept never works in an industry where there is a nail salon basically on every corner. I gave them (2) chances to do the right thing and now I've moved on to an amazing nail salon in Mandeville. Good luck to Nuni Nails and I hope somehow yall can figure it out and your relatively new business makes it.
