This is one of the best nail places in Slidell if you ask me. Mina and Kim usually take care of me and my husband when we need manicures and pedicures. They are AMAZING! I've been going to them regularly for almost a year and they are the best. They are all professionals and have been doing nails for 20+ years. Whenever I go to Mina's nail salon my husband must accompany me. He said that he always receives the best pedicures here. I'm sure he has fallen asleep many of times in the chair. He feels comfortable getting manicures and pedicures at this establishment and I'm glad because it allows us to relax together and get pampered. Not only are they good at what they do, they are all very nice and make you feel welcomed and like you've known them for years. They can always fit you in and you never feel rushed. I've visited Mrs. Mina nail shop twice to get my eye brows done... And she was super patience with them lol (I have thick eye brows) I loves the way she did them the first time and knew she was going to be the only one to touch them as long as I stay in Slidell lol. I then went to her the third time for my nails for an interview I has that day. When I tell you she not only have patience in the eye brows department... lol she did an amazing JOB on my nails and she did not rush what so ever. She had great conversations and was also very inspirational. She really made me feel welcomed... There were a lot I've learned sitting down chatting with her. My day didn't start so well and she lifted up my spirit. It really pays to be nice to others because you never know how you'll affect their day, week, months, and life in general. First of all they didn't tell me it was going to be an hour wait. They just put my feet in the water like I was going to be next. Then they kept trying to make me do a pedicure for $8 more just so they can use scrubs. I told her three times not to use it. She did not use the scrub that she had pointed to so I was expecting 30. Then when she finishes she tries to tell me it's 38. I told her and her boss that I did not want the extra $8. They let me pay eight but they should not put you in that situation read more

Customer service is terrible. My grandmother went here for as long as I can remember. Last year she got my sisters and I gift certificates for Christmas and they put such a short expiration time (in very small writing) that it was impossible for us to use them (we had maybe 2 weeks after Christmas to use them, which is absurd). $150 down the drain and they did nothing. What a great way to treat a 15+ year customer. I'll never go back and my grandmother hasn't either. read more

The service wasn't all that good and the wait time was ridiculous me and my girlfriend had to wait five hours to be fully finished with our toes well pedicures and my full set we had to wait for multiple people to finish before my full set actually got started and I was the second person in the building that day. This is the best nail salon in Slidell. Nothing fancy but VERY clean, friendly, and they do a high quality manicure and pedicure. My first test of a nail salon is how does it smell. I usually walk right out due to the toxic fumes. Not at Mina's, this place is odor free. When I asked about the absence of chemical smell, Mina says their health is on the line. I really appreciate that. Mina and staff make you feel welcome and give you a relaxing experience and an excellent mani /pedi. Yes they have nice pedicure massage chairs with beautiful glass bowls. Everything is disinfected after each customer. Men will enjoy it too, nothing foo foo here. A fair price - mani/pedi runs around $50. Cash is best. read more

Horrible and weird. Extra for manicure part of gel manicure. My nails are stuck to my skin. She filed off the old gel rather than soaking. Had me put my hands in a over the counter nail polish remover bottle with sponge. Completely not sanitary. I am a licensed manicurist. Not clean. Never again. read more

I will not go back. This was not a relaxing environment. When I walked in, I explained that I wanted a mani/pedi and I was immediately pressured to get other services that I didn't want. I was firm with what I wanted and was still pressured to the point of nagging. I was not allowed to sit with my friend for the pedicure "due to the law (covid)." But then was put right next to my friend for a manicure, which was strange. I was also turned off by the violent programming that was on the television during the service. To top it all off, we were told to pay in cash at the end of the service. If they only take cash, customers should be make aware before the service. read more

My mom and I recently visited this place... We sat down and the lady placed a little jar of nail polish remover in front of me... like the ones you get from Walmart.. Yeah, that. So, I removed my own polish. I asked for gel polish, it looked like they watered the gel down with something. Once she was done polishing my nails she left me in the uv light and placed a cotton ball on top of the machine with alcohol on it and said to wipe my nails down with it when I was done. I decided I had enough and didn't do it. She came back over to me and started lecturing me about how I should wipe my nails off. I told her they weren't dry and she snatched my hand up and told me they are dry!!! While vigorously wiping my nails with the cotton ball. It cost me $55 for a refill, gel polish, and for my mom to have a manicure with regular polish. Save your time and money. They were so rude. I would have paid $75 now to have to do my own nails. read more
