Can do 3D, Sculpted Nails, Glitter & Chrome I was VERY satisfied can finally say I found my nail place after dealing w/rude, stuck up, and money wanting places I've had technicians laugh in my face because I'm making sure my whole nail is polished (Stash House) I like to feel acknowledged when I walk in, Marvel Nails Greeted me w/Good Morning, sat my boyfriend and I down, and gave us a water(Mind you this has never happened before.) Tiffany's mom was very patient w/me, I want my nails to look nice so she made sure my sides of my nails were polished (Didn't have to show and tell her!) She bring me every form of diamond they have and patiently waited for me to pick all my diamonds (She didn't try to tell me what to get to rush me out.) read more

If you need a KNIFE, they've got it! I went in to get my acrylics removed and let my natural nails heal. I assumed that they would buff off the polish and let my nails soak in acetone, taking them off the least painful way (probably healthier). Nope... I assumed wrong which kicked me in the ass. One of the guy nail technicians pulled out a knife and scrapped them off one by one. I recently moved into AZ and will NOT be coming back because who knows how else they do nails or other services... Came in for a mani-pedi ($30). Started off with a pedicure. The girl who took care of me (unfortunately I did not get her name) was extremely friendly, and made my toes (which hadn't been done in 5 months) look amazing. I was also impressed that a basic pedicure included a hot stone massage, albeit short. When the girl was finished with my toes, she was pulled away to do some waxing on my friend. The owner (?) came over and was pretty harsh with me. She had me get my manicure at the pedicure chair which was pretty uncomfortable and gave me a noticeable glare when I pulled out my card instead of cash to pay. She rushed my manicure, and left nail polish on my cuticles and around my nail bed. She did get most of it off by going over it with some nail polish remover, but she didn't get all of it. I could have done a better job giving myself a manicure to be honest. Sigh. I wanted to like this place, but honestly I would only go back if the girl who initially took care of me was there AND took care of me the entire time. This is my spot to come in 2 times a month. Everyone is amazing from pedicures, nails, and eyebrows I love it all. The mom I am not sure of her name but she does the best eyebrow waxing me & my boyfriend love it. We came in Tuesday afternoon and like always so friendly and offered water 5mins after I was getting my brows done. It's not a long wait and she takes her time on them. Terrible experience! Went in for a simple polish change for my fingernails and toe nails. The gentleman rushed thru polishing my fingernails. When we got to my toenails he wouldn't take off my Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals. Instead he insisted he complete my polish change with them on. I argued with him, then gave in as he insisted that I trust him.... He got pure acetone on my sandals and removed the dye. My sandals are ruined! $500 sandals down the drain. To make matters worse he never apologized instead he said he didn't know. Even though he ruined my sandals, I still was asked to pay for my polish change. I paid and would have paid but the right thing to do was to at least make me feel as if ruining my personal belongings mattered to them. I'll never go back! A $14 polish change cost me $500 sandals. Simply because the nail Technician was lazy and wanted to rush thru my job. Extremely disappointed in my experience here. read more

My two friends and I were able to call in on Sunday and come for 3 mani-pedis. This place has the friendliest staff ever! All of them are so kind, and joked about the movies on the tv, they have netflix going and played comedies, like White Chicks and Billy Madison. This is my new spot, I'm only coming here for nails. Terrible weak nails. Saw this salon on here and decided to give it a try. Literally got a FRESH set, as in brand new. Took the old nails off that I had on for over 2.5 months, and hadn't had a fill in, in over a month (life, ok). Even though the nails were old, I still had all ten. Now the shape and color were so cute. I walked out thinking this may be my new nail place, WRONG! I had 4 break and it hasn't even been a full week!! The very next day one nail broke as I was putting the sheet on my bed. At first I was angry at myself. Then as I was putting on the pillow case another one broke. They were closed by then so the following morning I called and told them what happened. They said I can come in and get them fixed but I ended up not being able to go, so I asked if I could go the next day and they said sure. Well I was happy I didn't make it in earlier bcuz later on that night I was wiping down the counter, and I was gripping the sponge, you guessed it, another nail broke. So I call them the next day confirming, they said I can go in still. I do show up, several employees but only two customers so I was confused on why I was waiting. But then the guy starts and after he put the tips on he said it'll be $15!!! I was shocked and simply said no, I'm not paying anything. They start yelling and saying I have to pay, so I yell back about how they were weak nails. Then they said $10 and I still said no bcuz I shouldn't need to! It was a fresh set! They claimed I was reckless and clearly I was not, plus how reckless do you need to be to break 3 FRESH nails in two days?? They ended up fixing them for free and had the audacity to say, "Next time they won't fix them," I tell them I don't care bcuz there will never be a next time. And then whoopty freaking do, very next day another one broke as I was getting my change out of the self checkout. Now I'm sitting here with raggedy nails for another week. Do not recommend ever going here. EDIT: couple hours later, A 5TH!!!!!!!! I can't even tell you what I was doing this time. I have NEVER had this many nails break in the same week, or even within the same set. Truly ridiculous and I wish I could get a refund. Two broken nailed thumbs down!!! read more

I would have given them at least 4 stars had they not been rude. They did a good job on my toes and nails but it took longer then I've ever spent in a nail salon. One head woman gave me a dirty look cause I didn't pick a color after she told me to and walked away. I wanted gel polish so I sat down and the 2nd woman started on my feet. It went down hill from there. If I'm desperate I'll go there again. Its a shame, I'd rather spend my money locally. I'll drive for better service anyway. Maybe they were having a bad day. I hadn't been to the salon in about a year because of how far I work, but I was quickly reminded of how amazing Tiffany is. She does such an awesome job and is SO worth the drive. I've been to several nail salons around Phoenix, Tempe, and East Mesa, and none have matched up to Marvel Nails (except, perhaps, Tips & Toes at Scottsdale and Curry--they're also quite great). At other salons, I've faced insane waits (when on the phone they promise they're not busy just five minutes before), have been left alone for 30-45 minutes with acetone on my fingers, and have received less-than-par nail services on both hands and feet. I'm not difficult to please (at all), and I won't pretend I know much about nails in general...I might get a mani/pedi once every 6 months, if that. I only go to salons with at least a 4-star rating on Yelp, and still have had some pretty nightmarish stories. All of that being said, I really do love Marvel. I've walked in looking like a young, moneyless slob and they've treated me like a queen--their younger staff in particular are such a joy to chat with, and they always have fun things on TV. Today I got my gel taken off and a clear coat put on (for protective purposes) in less than 15 minutes from walking in to getting back in my car. Let me be clear--don't walk in expecting a 5-star resort. But for the price and the location, you really can't do better than Marvel. I drive all the way from Mesa because I always know I'll receive quality service, and they've never let me down. read more

I enjoy coming to Marvel because they're so personable for example they offer you complimentary cold bottle water or tea. Marvel always has a new, expanding and trendy color selection. While the salon itself isn't particularly impressive looking, the staff has been very kind and helpful when I've gone in for appointments as well as walk-ins. I've worked with different staff members each time I've gone in and they've always been very thorough, although I'll admit I've only gotten simple pedicures and standard manicures - no acrylics or gels. Also, the first time I went in for a pedicure they had Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on their TV (streaming via Netflix) which was a nice bonus! read more

I went here for a few months (through December) and I saw a lot of things that changed my opinion about this place. They are frequently using used equipment - like, straight up dirty files. I started to get a fungal infection on first one, then three of my fingers. I thought maybe he'd suggest leaving the acrylics off so they could heal, but they'd just get covered up with a new acrylic again. The guy would use the same file on my fungusy nails as other people - no separate container or fresh file. When the infection wasn't going away, I decided to not let them mess it up any further. I took them off myself, gave my nails a break, and started going somewhere else that treated my poor nails with care. No more fungus problems after I stopped going here! read more

I got a French manicure, and one week later all the polish has peeled off, and my cuticles are absolutely ruined. They're completely torn up. I'm honestly embarrassed to look at them. Furthermore, the "nude" color they're supposed to use for a French manicure? It had PINK SPARKLES in it. I felt like I was in 5th grade walking out of this place. However, it chipped and peeled within a few hours anyway because they never did a top coat. On a side note, my mother got a pedicure at the same time. Her technician made her bleed and then just painted over the wound. That said, my nail technician was very nice to me. Everyone there was perfectly pleasant and cheery. The man doing the nails of the girl next to me was nice enough to offer me coffee and water... but because I "looked tired." Never tell a girl she looks tired. read more
