I like the atmosphere of this place makes me feel like I'm in an anime with all their posters and playing pokemon on the TV. Food We got the hamburger with ginger soy garlic and the wagyu steak with the wasabi soy. I liked the hamburger the best and both sauces were really good. The wagyu steak was okay but I think I'd try the ribeye next time since it's about the same price. Really liked the wasabi soy sauce but could get salty at some points so dont get that one if you dont like salty stuff or wasbi. I was definitely pretty full after eating the large steak portion. Soup was just okay and the spaghetti just seemed out of place to me. Food took about 15-20 mins to come out but we were the last order and everyone got their food already so I can see how it takes a while if it's busy. I would definitely come back to try the other meat options on their menu and try their soft served ice cream too. We walked in at 8:07 pm and were seated shortly after. When we were seated we had a short time before they were doing last call so didnt have much time to look at the menu. They definitely were trying to close by 9 so better to get in early so you're not rushed. I saw some comments about issues with the checks going to wrong tables with different cards. Wasn't going to mention it but the guy gave me my paid check back without my card! I thought I misplaced it and was looking for it until he brought it over casually... hope they get better as they're open longer. The portions are very small for such a high price, the hamburg is dry and crumbly, the skillet comes out room temp rather than hot and sizzling. The sides are plain boiled spaghetti noodles and cabbage, which I personally feel are not very appealing when soaked in beef drippings. I ordered something to drink and I received something that was different from what I ordered. The server explained that what I asked for wasn't available, and then they charged me for the incorrect drink anyway lol... we were also missing several items from our order and had to hound the servers several times to receive them. On a weekday at lunch, getting there at 10:45, only 15 minutes before opening, gets you front of the line. Once they opened, you get the familiar Japanese welcome then they quickly get you seated either at the counter or in a booth. Facilities are clean, neat, and still very new. It is a nice and bright dining area with a clear view of the open kitchen. The decor is Demon Slayer vibe with a Pokémon video playing on the video monitor. The workers are all neatly dressed and polite as far as I observed. Once seated, the 2 that were dedicated to waiting the tables were very attentive to the guests. The host and beverage preparer seamlessly added coverage as needed to expedite service. I was the first to order at 11:03, getting the large Hamburg with normal fixings, but opted for the demi glacé at an additional $1. Worth it! The pace of preparation is probably normally going to be 25 to 30 minutes from order to getting your order. Drinks come very quickly after ordering though. They also give a small cup of onion soup which was delicious. I tried the Hamburg Steak plain initially. It was delicious without the sauce. I quickly tried with the sauce and it was even more delicious. I spooned sauce on each individually cut piece of the Hamburg Steak, and there was enough sauce for each bite. Nothing worse than not enough sauce. I ordered the large serving and it was enough to feel like a large, but I'm sure local braddahs might say it could be bigger. The vegetables that were included were sautéed cabbage and sprouts, and the pasta was lightly tomato sauced pasta noodles. Both were in quantities of about a healthy twirl of a spaghetti on a fork, definitely meant to be more of a visual garnish than a serving, but enough to vary the flavors in your mouth. The plateful of white rice was typical good quality rice that is perfect with the Hamburg Steak sauce. I probably should have added the sunny side egg option for under $2. The runny yolk would have made for a thicker mouthfeel. Just the demi glacé was ok, not runny, but not substantial like gravy. I personally like thicker sauces, so that is completely my preference. This was a fine meal that is worthy of being served in Japan. I will definitely come back perhaps monthly, which is a frequency reserved for good grub. This is not cheap though, yet I think it is worth it. If I were in a group of 4, I'd grab a booth table, and have everyone get a different sauce so we could all share and taste them all. read more

Saw a review on TikTok about their burgers and I just had to come here to try it. Went twice in a week it was so good! All the staff are super nice and attentive and the soup they give is so good. Tried the Demi glaze and Gorgonzola sauces and loved them both. I think the free side soup and rice (I didn't have to ask for more but they say it on the menu) is a nice touch. Moe was our server who is originally from Japan but been living here for awhile. I had the double burger cut into two with the burgers dipped in cheese sauce. A different way to eat a burger. It was a Japanese style ambiance. Unfortunately we ordered two appetizers, the calamari and kaarage chicken. She forgot that we had ordered it and we did not get it The prices were reasonable and they also serve wine. This is a small place with four booths, four tables and seating around the bar which is on the center of the restaurant. They also greet you as you come in. The place gets smokey after a while. I have seen many good reviews here and it's a nice cozy place to have a good meal. Centrally located where the old Chubbies Burgers was, there are lots of metered parking spaces available. Came with the family and to kill time, we played on the classic pac-man machine while waiting for our table. What fun memories of pac-man I had, sharing my advice to my son. In any event, our table was ready before we could finish the game, oh well! The service staff was friendly, it reminded us as if we were in Japan. Very polite and helpful. The prices were a little high, however, I'm thinking that they are keeping up with all the increased food costs and started this high so they wouldn't have to increase the prices slowly, we will keep our fingers crossed. Although, each order is custom made, you will need to be patient as it does take time for your hamburg to come out. Nice, delicious ground beef patty that had a mixture of spaghetti noodles, small round potatoes, small carrot, hamburg patty and a nice rich gravy/demi glaze, depending on what you order. White rice is served on the side. You also get a small cup of beef soup with your meal. The fries were nice and crispy, however, the price did seem high for the portion. The curry sauce is very nice. It comes with a side of corn, fries and a splash of broccoli for colour. I enjoy a nice Japanese burger not to be compared with an American burger.
